Huge thank you! Had disconnected the battery on my '20 WRX and after I finished what I was doing I connected it back and went for a drive. Wanted to roll down the passenger side window and it wasn't working, also couldn't use the auto feature on the driver window. Came home and watched this video and BOOM. It's working again! Thanks man.
The same thing happened to me. Thanks!
You just saved me 600$. My local garage wanted to charge me 2 hours of work + a new power window module to fix that problem. I just followed your instructions and Voilà! Thank you so much.
What did we do before UA-cam? Spent $$$$$ getting things fixed. This video fixed my passenger window that stopped working from driver's side. Thank you!
The people who make troubleshooting videos like this are true heroes, thank you!!
I just disconnected my battery to clean the terminals and had this exact problem. Thanks for making this video, a google search and your vid solved the problem in no time. Cheers!
Thanks. Quick, to the point, no dumb music blasting making it hard to hear the instructions. Now the auto up/down working again on my daughter’s Impreza after doing the plugs and having to disconnect the battery.
Thank you for sharing this. Not only did this work for me, but it saved me a potentially expensive trip to the dealership! Have a fantastic weekend!
Glad it helped!
My driver window started going up then half way down automatically did this seems to be fixed thank you.
sure thing
Thanks.
Had to replace the battery on my 2017 Outback. Both front windows are "auto". After replacing the battery, I couldn't get the passenger front window to work from the driver side.
I recalibrated the windows with your procedure and it worked.
The front passenger recalibration MUST be done from the front passenger window switch in order fir both the driver and passenger switches to work.
Such a stupid problem with an easy fix. Thank you all this time later
Never understood why Subarus are so quirky, I’ve owned more than 30 cars and trucks in my lifetime, and only my Subaru’s have ever had this issue.
Oh this is perfect! I need to go try to see if this works on my forester.
I had done this before, but forgot the technique.Thank you for your assistance
This happened to me when I unplugged my battery and my windows wouldn't go up nor down automatically. I was like wtf, and then I saw you have to "recalibrate" the windows. One of the most odd things I've heard of, but at least it's an easy solution.
This WORKS. My passenger side door was doing this. I had to lower it using the passenger side switch and then reset the drivers side switch.
This one worked for my driver window going up little by little. Good job 👍
My outback goes up like an inch at a time… nothing I’ve found online works… what exactly did you do? This video did not help my issue.
@@DroppinNubs same here. Any luck?
This made my window worse. It wouldn’t go down automatically so I did this trick and now when I put my window back up it gets stuck in multiple spots and I have to keep hitting the button to go up 😅
Thanks boss! I guess I fixed it unknowingly a couple times before, but forgot when my battery died.
thank you my friend, helped me out!
Good timing brother my window is doing the same recently thanks for the video
You got it boss!
Thank you! Looks like I caused the problem. Thanks for the solution.
Your literally a god brother thank you
Worked like a charm! Thanks!
Worked for me. Thanks for this video.
Thanks worked perfectly on my Forrester
Mine would get stuck rolling up from say half way, then roll itself back down, I'd just about roll it to the top again, then it would roll itself down. Time after time. This just may have been the fix.
A ton of thanks! Fixed!
Amazing good sir! Thank you for sharing
My pleasure!
Worked like a charm. Thanks.
You’re a legend
Thanks, but I have a question do we have auto lock doors when we drive off. If so how do we fix that.
I am not sure if the newer models do, the olders don’t
@@AutoEnthusiast 2020 wrx it doesn’t make sense not to but it seems like mine doesn’t do it.
Thank you!
It worked.
I appreciate the tip man 👊
Thanks. Had service at dealer yesterday didnt work after
What if the passenger window won’t roll down at all even with trying to roll it down with the passenger side button?
I’m assuming you can do it to the passenger window also if auto up/down? The shop just tried to quote me over $700 for a whole “main switch” bc my passenger one isn’t going up or down from driver seat - so if this can save some cash 😅
I tried this, no luck. My drivers side (2013 WRX) will only inch up. Takes about 20 pulses to close the window. Any ideas?
THANK YOU
Oh man the first time My window gave me problems I was so confused. Then I learned about this moethod and I though glad it was an easy fix but wtf
Yeah its a super weird problem
Sometimes when I adjust my left side mirror my rear right window will go down. Very annoying because I can’t replicate it at the dealership.
Woooah never heard of that happening
@@AutoEnthusiast I have a special lil snowflake 😂 My WRX is lucky it’s so cute.
Sweeeet, thank you!
No problem!
Thanks
No problem
Is this meant to work for all windows kr only for the driver's? (My problem window is the passenger.)
Yes for auto windows! If not auto, you have a different issue! Ping me on my FB page for the channel for specific questions!
My window won’t go all the way up. This truck did not fix it.
Umm..don't need a video for this...It's In Your Owners Manual...not like its a secret
Interesting, not in my owner's manual! What year do you have?
a lot of people don't read that book or bought car without one
@@Altezza447 very simple to upload an owners manual online, for any make or model..pretty much in existence
