DeathofTeyolia naw man. Today metalcore still thrives. It's got post hardcore beaten (because most of that shit sucks and the genre grew out of phase within two years). A lot of metalcore has moved to lower tunes (dropped A and below), but many bands still play dropped C and B. Metalcore will never die.

I would agree if they weren't so focused on adding boring djent riffs into their sound. Phinehas, Wage War, and ERRA are doing modern metalcore right in my opinion.
