@@Instant_Nerf you have to check for yourself but I think the default rig hierarchy is not compatible with ue and metahuman. So some sort of workaround will be needed.
Honestly, 30 seconds of video per month for free is not much at all. As an animator, I think this tool will actually consume more time because I'd have to learn it, understand the workflow, fix bugs, and on top of that, clean the animation a lot. The best budget mocap so far is the Kinect V2 with ipisoft. I really dislike the idea of tokens to make the server perform tasks, as I tried this with cloud rendering, and I was always running into problems with large scenes. The idea of using AI for this kind of thing is amazing, and I really hope that it evolves into something much more practical in the future.
I've used it and it's really intuitive, a lot easier than Maya/Blender The AI mocap works pretty well, no crashes so far. Doesn't work on all videos but it's pretty good
I learned it tree hard way.. I brought 3 kinect 360 and brekel body, I thought I will produce animation faster and better, but I ended up spend more time cleaning up. In the end I just use mocap data for key pose and timing, and create intermediate pose manually. I also tried rokoko vision before.. the result just not clean enough.
Free to use you say. The engine is essentially a SaaS with microtransactions. Most of their profit will come from people on the free plans buying more credits to use the features for longer.
Hello. I have a question. I could not import animations that consist of more than one piece in blender, such as the rotation of gear wheels, into the unreal engine. So the pieces were imported, but the animation does not work, and for animation to be an animation, they must be in their parts separately. How can I make them one piece and make the animation work? I want to. You can also suggest an instructive resource that you know. Have a nice day
I always try different animations. I also used Armature and used a few of them. Other than that, I tried to throw different animations and it didn't work. If I give an example, I would like to name the video in youtube: Treadmill Made Easy in Blender. That is, treadmill animation is explained. Thank you for your interes
No MoCap example? And what type of rigging is required? Won’t you need to retarget a UE4 skeleton for unreal engine? You didn’t show us importing of custom assets.
mocap example from 6:40-7:30 there's a retargeting step in the app (similar to Unity's/Unreal's) that auto maps the bones to a humanoid rig, so that the AI can work well on it Custom assets also work (supports FBX/GLB imports)
As CJ noted there is a mocap example. Importing is pretty easy, just press the import button and point to an FBX file. Export to UE was easy too. Just export from Pixcap and import in UE with default settings. Whether you need to retarget depends on what you are trying to do.
Hi, This is the place where all doubts will be cleared. Could you please do a series on "Animation"......Guys, who ever want Animation series, support here.....
Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I am thinking about extending the current content into other directions and Animation is one of them. I am not a great animator... but I am not a great rigger yet I have a channel mostly about rigging haha That said, I am not sure if I'll do exactly that. I don't want to make a poll either since one of the nice things about the way I manage my videos is that I can go where inspiration takes me. Of course, I take viewer input seriously and I already know there is interest in animation
I think it takes a while to generate it and they'll send it to you via email when it's done. Once the beta stage is over you'll be able to register more easily, I think.
Awesome! Thank you for reviewing this application! I've been dabbling here and there but I will watch your video to check out other features.
They use deepmotion under the hood (for video mocap) which I think you are familiar with :)
Very exciting, easy to use and a ton of neat tricks available on the platform! I definitely recommend this for all animators!
Wow! Awesome review. AI mocap definitely looks interesting and it's free!
This is awesomely awesome, thanks for sharing
Tnx for sharing this man! Looks interesting. I'll definitely try it out. Looks good for entry-level animators.
Perfect for the street fighter inspired game i'm making. Thanks!
You have made my work much more easier.....now i will be importing and exporting from different softwares for easy modelling and rigging
Happy to help!
The integrated AI mocap looks super useful
Hope it works well with Unity
It should, my basic test worked without any problem.
@@CGDive does it work with unreal and meta humans?

👍 for the mustache lady
hahaha
thanks for introducing this ... just the thing for rookie me

Yeah, we're really in the early days of ai mocap. There was a presentation on two minutes papers which showed a huge leap in the tech.

I explained exactly what they had at the time I made the video. Did things change since then?
This is interesting, compared to the other mocap library and mocap suite.
wow. amazing software. i want to analyze golf swing. can use rotation angle such as chest or hip rotation?
Yeah, I think so! 👍
it would be a great help if you make a tutorial on exporting pixcap animations for metahuman, i tried following this tutorial but i couldn't get it.
I signed up for this but I cannot log in and get started for some reason. Is there a wait time?
Yeah, I think they are still in beta (which should end any day now) and it takes some time to approve your account.
please talk about control rig tool inside unreal engine and how we can set up our character from blender to ue4 for control rig .
It's on my list! Thanks for the suggestion!

Are the pieces rigged with one single armature in Blender?

Great video! Thanks a lot. You should do one on rhe process to get an animation from pixcap to unreal. ;)
I think they have that on the official pixcap channel.

Thanks bro. Is this program Kinect/ PS Eye/Move compatible?
I am not sure. Please try asking the app developers. They are very friendly :)
Do you know if there is a way to import longer videos?
There is a file-size limit, not a length limit. So encode your videos and make them lower res, maybe?

Make video about animals animation in this software

30 sec like deepmotion
Not sure what that means.
