- Kenny Garrett Quartet live at North Sea Jazz Festival 2003. The Hague, Netherlands, 12th July 2003.
Kenny Garrett (alto sax); Vernell Brown (piano); Kristopher Funn (bass); Ronald Brunner (drums).
It’s incredible that Kenny has been playing with this level of intensity for 40 years. It will be decades before listeners fully appreciate and comprehend all his music.
Kenny Garrett is already widely considered one of the all-time greats, and in my opinion probably still underrated. What a force of nature!

Only black cats can play whit this strong intensity, they rocks much more than heavy metal bands…
I know you want to make compliment to the great Kenny Gerrett and his band, but I think we should race leave out. It's not really sensefull . I think we don't need this kind of musical genre comparrisons too. Only my point of view ❤
It’s not about race, it is about afroamerican culture and physicity. And yes, is a compliment. And is a fact. I like also the more “european” influenced jazz played by people like Brad Mehlad o Chick Corea. And I love more when these barrier don’t exist but they melt. They are all great musician, they are men. I know that in this years we can’t speak in those terms, but I don’t care. I don’t need to be politically correct. Vive le differences, long live the difference! @@dinowurtinger4206
Black people invented music 🎶🎶 and everything else under the Sun
@@dinowurtinger4206Nah. Race is what creates this music called jazz. Period. From the plantation, to the slave quarters, to the church house, to the clubs, the Foundational Black American race-based EXPERIENCE in the colonies (later called America) created and charted this musical development. Full stop.
It's wholly racist to OMIT the racial identity of jazz' forefathers/foremothers. Do better.
@@MrGepmaonce upon a time we all were black people 😊
