I have a very easy method for converting centimeters to inches: multiply by 2, divide by five: 12 cm to ins. 12 x 2 =. 24. 24 /5 = 4.8 ins. 20 cm to ins. 20 x 2 = 40. 40/5 = 8 ins.
You can multiply inches by 2.54 to get centimeters, or you can type "convert centimeters inches" into google.com, and a conversion tool will pop up. The ruler looks great. If I need to mark a spot on a ruler, I use an arrow drawn on a piece of post-it tape (and since it can be repositioned, I tend to use the same piece of tape for ages). The built-in arrows on this ruler would probably eliminate the need for tape. The grip looks useful, too. The price is too high, though, so I'll wait for a sale.
Or you can just divide the 12cm to 2.54 = 4.72" Or for me i like to estimate it by dividing the cm into half: 12 ➗ 2 = 6, from and I have a rough draft of how much is it in inches, by considering it will be smaller than 6, so i'll be considering it will be around 5" atleast... or the easiest if you have cellphone w/ internet, just ask the internet or google or alike...
They should've put a metal edge on both sides AND those guides that slide off should have the pointers on both sides so that they're pointing to both inches and centimeters at the same time. It's still cool, though. I definitely want one!
I am a scrapbooker and am constantly trying to figure out the center of my projects. And I would also love it for card making and I would love the center zero also I'm a quilter and it would work for me on those projects. Thank you for your demo!!
Love how it has the different kinds of measuring on it and that it has the grip on it, that would definitely make it easier for me to measure, thank you MayMay for sharing
I love this ruler for my foam board projects. I'm always building some kind of new craft storage so this was worth the $ for me and the real estate that it consumes. Great review❣👍
I have been wanting to see this so much! Thanks so much Maymay, count on you to inform and educate! Love you! You're so responsible for me coming out of my dis-comfort zone, if you only knew how God put you in my path. Love you sweet May, can't wait to get my new stamps this month!!!
Great review! Thank you. I have seen this before & the 2 positives about it for me are the handle & the moveable markers. I think they are great. I could see this used for scrapbooking. Tend to use 12 x 12" papers & this would work very well. I currently use a quilting ruler but my fingers sometimes cramp from pressing down so tightly to my chipboard. May have to add this to my "wish" list!
Thank you for reviewing this ruler. Have not seen this before. And you are correct, millimeters is the smaller measurement down from centimeters. This would be great for 12 inch vinyl and for cutting up my large magnet sheets that I use for my dies. Would also be great as a straight edge for mounting vinyl in a straight line. TFS
Great review!! this could be used on numerous projects and I wish I would have had it when I was cutting shelf paper for my kitchen drawers, looks like it would have made that job alot easier. tfs!! :)
Thanks for the review..that ruler looks likenit will be amazing for anythung that curls up..vinyl, painted papers, fabric. yep, gonna have to get one! thanks again ~ Dana
Thank u sooo much for sharing this!!! I'm a huge fan of we r!!! I'm getting this for sure. I've always said how I wish they would have the measurements marked ( I am measuring challenged lol ) & this answered my prayers pretty much! For the centimeters too! Have an awesome day & vinny too!! Hugs donna
I think I am liking this ruler Maymay and I would definitely use it to cut vinyl to fit on my Cricut mat. I would also use it for cutting fabric when needed. I'm sure I would find more use for it as well. Thanks for the review! Happy weekend!!
I really like this ruler. I primarily make cards and scrapbook, so it would be very handy! Mostly, I like the size of it -I have "man hands"-big hands, long fingers! It is so hard for me to use little, tiny, thin rulers! They drive me nuts. Thanks for sharing your opinion, Maymay!
I have never seen this ruler before! Your review was excellent. I have bulk rolls of lightweight kraft paper that I use for wrapping gifts (the holidays are approaching), and I can never cut a straight line. This ruler would be perfect for cutting or tearing this paper or other gift wrap paper! Oh, and, of course for crafting. I agree with the other comments about the metal cutting edge, etc. Thank you so much for your review.
This looks great. Hope I can get one soon. Thanks for the video, very helpful. Don't know if I would have known they had a new ruler had you not done your video. Hope all is well with you & yours, happy creating, Linda
Wow thankyou for great review I have just won on ebay this ruler plus the memory keeper alphabet board combined sale got both for £10.00 I'm so excited now I know the basics once again for an excellant tutorial
I need this ruler in my life. I love to build things from chip board and card stock. This ruler will stop me from slipping while I make my cuts!!!!! We r memory keepers has been hitting it out of the park lately.
Hi Maymay, I love the supreme ruler. I would definitely use it to cut out a card base of any size. would use it to cut out large pieces of card board. for cutting gift per wrap. there are endless ways. but the most important to me is to be able to measure exactly to the right measurement meaning not crooked, so that I can cut things straight. That's the problem have, cutting straight. So I feel those for me personally are legible reasons have it. It also has a good grip too. Thanks for the enabling😀
I was going to request that you switch to a light colored background for future similar videos then was so happy to see that you did!!! Thank you! Good job!
Very cool. I don't know that I would have a use for this one. I have the perfect ruler and several other rulers including a t-square. I always reach for my perfect ruler. It definitely gets a work out. Sad to hear it has retired.
This looks like it's made for people like me who can't measure at all! Now I need to find a good reason to explain to hubby why I paid $20.00 for a ruler! LOL 😂 Thank you for sharing! 💞🦋
I would use this ruler to help me measure correctly in my card making, what a great way to help you see underneath a project and having the measurements/fractions on there great feature for a not so great mathmation.☺️
Thank you for this review! I've been curious about this ruler, especially WRMK's non-slip claim. I agree with you that the cutting edge would be nice on both sides. But I did notice, with it on the centimeter side, that it obscures the see-through aspect at the very edge of the ruler, especially the millimeter markings. I also wish they had included 1/16" markings, though I know you can probably eyeball that between the 1/8" lines. I currently use an 18" long quilting ruler for much of my measuring (which does have 1/16" marks), and a cork-backed (non-slip) metal ruler if I have to cut something with my craft knife. I also have the Tim Holtz ruler you showed for centering things. I know this ruler could probably do triple-duty for me & replace my current stash then, but since I already have what I have (& they're paid for!), I think I'll pass on this ruler. Thanks so much for helping me decide--and save some $$$! :)
I know I am not normal, or so I've been told, but I love to measure. I have many types of rulers. My scoreboard (Crafter's Companion Big Score) measures inches on one side and cms on the other. I love it.
I LOVE IT ! I will definitely be purchasing this. Not only for my paper crafting but I am also a Quilter and as you mentioned this would be perfect for that as well. Do you carry this ruler in your store ?
Do you think this ruler is good for marking books for book folding? Or is it only good for cutting? I love your products and your videos! I live in Canada and the shipping is always so much more expensive but i still find it worth it when you have something a just have to have, lol..
10 miliimetres per centimetre is correct. The measuring unit of my country is centimetres, but most of videos with instructions for papercrafting uses inches . Such a ruler would therefore be very handy in my case. Fortunately I have a W&M trim and score board with inches etc at the top. I agree that an 18 inch rules would be a little uncomfortable to use.
I can see why people are annoyed that the metal edge is only on the cm side but here in the UK we do use the cm and not inches so it’s usually frustrating to watch all videos where everything is measured in inches! Cards, boxes everything unless you watch a U.K. based video! So yes both sides would be good but then I’d like all videos in cm as well as inches so you can’t please all the people ....... Even our paper and card is a different size! So yes frustrating from both sides of the pond!
I think it would be great for cutting a 12x12 sheet diagonally from corner to corner. Thanks for the demo.
I have a very easy method for converting centimeters to inches: multiply by 2, divide by five:
12 cm to ins. 12 x 2 =. 24. 24 /5 = 4.8 ins.

What an awesome ruler for matting, scrapbooking and crafting... just moved to the top of my wish list! Thanks for sharing Maymay.
Love how it has the different kinds of measuring on it and that it has the grip on it, that would definitely make it easier for me to measure, thank you MayMay for sharing
This looks safe for cutting and I love the measuring markers. Thanks for the tour Maymay!
Maymay, i just want to say thank you for always letting us know everything about craft supply.
Great review on this ruler! Love the metal edge. Would def use it in my craft room. TFS! ❤️
I love this ruler for my foam board projects. I'm always building some kind of new craft storage so this was worth the $ for me and the real estate that it consumes. Great review❣👍
I've just ordered one from Craftelier. It looks great for scrapbooking. Thanks for the review and greetings from Italy.
I appreciate this video, thank you Maymay for taking the time to review this supreme ruler.
I pulled off the metal part and glued it unto the inches side. Works like a charm.
I agree with the metal cutting edge, on both side please! I also agree with inches. Thank you.
I have been wanting to see this so much! Thanks so much Maymay, count on you to inform and educate! Love you! You're so responsible for me coming out of my dis-comfort zone, if you only knew how God put you in my path. Love you sweet May, can't wait to get my new stamps this month!!!
Maymay, Thanks for your thorough and honest review!

Thanks so much for the review, I've been wondering about this ruler 👍🏼

Thank you for the review! This would be great when working with vinyl or to use it to remove the center of cardstock.
I can't imagine the metal cutting edge on the wrong side of the ruler! Thanks for the demo, I pointed out the positive and negative features.
This is an awesome ruler! Thanks for the review.
Looks super. I would use it for Kanzashi. I coul still find several more uses to make this worth having outside of crafting as well as for crafting,
This looks great. Hope I can get one soon. Thanks for the video, very helpful. Don't know if I would have known they had a new ruler had you not done your video.
Hope all is well with you & yours, happy creating, Linda
I would use it for quilting! The heaviness is perfect for that project!
What an awesome ruler for scrap-booking. Makes finding 2 1/2" down and 4 3/4" in for the corner placement.
Thanks for the great video. Looks like it is very sturdy and has great features.
Thanks for the review nice product would be helpful in lots of craft projects
Great review!!! Thank you and keep up the reviews... They help tremendously!!!

Wow thankyou for great review I have just won on ebay this ruler plus the memory keeper alphabet board combined sale got both for £10.00 I'm so excited now I know the basics once again for an excellant tutorial

I would use it for crafting and quilting. Great for centering
I would use this for centering computer generated text sentiments for cards, but do wish it has the metal edge on the inch side too.
Holy Mackerel!! Now *that's* a ruler!! This for the scoop, Maymay. 😃💖
Looks wonderful!!

Thank you for sharing!
Is the metal strip permanently attached, as I’ve just received mine and the metal strip is separate to the ruler?
I really like this ruler and I would use it to cut vinyl and also fabric this is on my wish list

I got mine. haven't you it yet. tanks for this video.
I need help holding my vinyl, but I also think it would be good for centering vinyl projects.

Hi I have this tool. The silver blade somehow came off. Do you know how it goes back on? Thank you.
Crafter's Companion has a 12" x 18" cardstock for making boxes. It would come in handy for the larger cardstock.
I know I am not normal, or so I've been told, but I love to measure. I have many types of rulers. My scoreboard (Crafter's Companion Big Score) measures inches on one side and cms on the other. I love it.
that is good for measuring fabric for dress making great ruller.
I make my own storage out of foam boards (drawers, ink and even paper storage) and so that my work good for measuring that.
It does!!! It helped me tremendously cutting foam to my storage drawers.
Don't think I would use it. It does sound good for chipboard and such Maymay you explain things so well. Thank you

Do you think this ruler is good for marking books for book folding? Or is it only good for cutting? I love your products and your videos! I live in Canada and the shipping is always so much more expensive but i still find it worth it when you have something a just have to have, lol..
