Police arrest pro-Palestine demonstrators at New York University

- A pro-Palestine protest at New York #University has resulted in a number of arrests.
Despite the university warning that they would face consequences, hundreds of demonstrators refused to vacate a plaza in Manhattan.
Officers then closed in on the crowd for the trespassing violation shortly after nightfall.
A New York police spokesperson said the number of arrests is still uncertain but no immediate injuries were reported.
Protests have also been seen at other university campuses, including Yale and Columbia since Oct 7.
Columbia University cancelled in-person classes last week after protesters set up tent encampments on campus.

This quickly caused copious protest across the country. The following day, at Kent State two rallies were held at The Commons, a grassy open area at the centre of the campus.
