DUI CRASH | Wrong-way driver hits car head-on in Hanover Township, PA.

Late Friday night, Lehigh County 911 sent Han-Le-Co Station 33 along with Medic 75 and Pennsylvania State Police responded to 1875 Airport Road in front of Red Robin Burgers for the Auto Extrication.
Once on location, Police reported a head-on crash with a lady pinned with no pulse. Medic 75 was in the process of getting the female out of the car when Rescue 33 arrived.
The driver of the black car was administered a Field Sobriety Test by a State Trooper. He apparently was traveling north in the southbound lanes when he hit the silver car head-on critically injuring the driver.
The driver of the black car failed the Sobriety test and was handcuffed and place in back of the patrol car.
Airport Road southbound at Catasauqua Road was closed for the investigation.
UPDATE:
Catherine A. Neelon, 55, the driver of the silver car was pronounced deceased just before midnight at the hospital. The drunk driver was drinking at a local restaurant right down the road prior to the crash.
As with any criminal complaint, the person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Why is it, the DUI driver is almost never injured, whereas the victim of the crash is almost always severely injured or killed❓
They are limp. Where’s a conscious person will brace for impact causing more damage
Because there body goes limp where as the sober driver stiffness up. It's terrible
Good job getting all of the sobriety tests documented... will be used as evidence when he’s charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence...
I’m sure his attorney won’t be happy he agreed to take them.
The innocent driver in bad condition. The DUI driver no injuries what so ever. Not a scratch. May the victim of this pull through and heals into good health.
That is more common than most would think. Sober you would tense up and do more damage kind of like over correcting. Under the inf. You are limp and go with it. 😔

I admit to drinking much of a bottle of sherry during a long road trip when I was younger. I passed out, not literally losing consciousness but lost all memory for a 30 minute period. I was just lucky I did not hurt anyone and not in 20 years since have I had a drink before or during driving. That was a brick upside the head

Must be drunk. After a crash like that he is still walking while the other person is on the way to the hospital. This happened just as I was leaving work Friday. Glad I stayed 10 minutes later or me and the motorcycle might have been the one hit. I drove by this before any police where on scene. The difference a few minutes makes.
