Next day you can use, don't use soap but a gentle face wash in general also, soap is drying and stripping. Try the Simple Gentle face wash. Next day can use Vit C, but always use sunscreen every single day
People who regularly use acids and have congested skin which needs some exfoliation. But not with active acne as that would burn. And who haven't used strong actives same day on the skin, and avoid next day as well.
Do you regularly use tret? Tret initially takes a lot of time to adjust on the skin hence skin is sensitive, red for 2-3 weeks, it's called retinization. If your skin is already pass that stage, then you can but keep a gap of quite a few days in between both pre and post use.

Consult a doctor. They will give some medicines. The same happened to me after trying a diy and then the medicines helped. It might not completely go but will surely subside.
Did it settle down? Did you patch test before using? If it burns or irritates too much, then wash immediately. Maybe your skin is sensitive or is not used to AHA BHA. Do you use any lower % AHA BHA? You need to start with a lower % and then gradually build up
