    You can probably get a pre facelift s197 v8 for a reasonable price. I’ve found them somewhat consistently for about $7500-$8500 with the manual transmission and reasonable miles.

      before i bought my new edge gt, I was looking at a s197 gt m/t with 90k miles, it had light fender damage and they were asking 12k for it and wouldn't budge on it, i havent seen a m/t gt s197 below 10k with less than 100k ever

    I'd also add the GMT 800 series of trucks and suvs too. Besides the mediocre fuel economy which is to be expected, the flimsy 4l60e transmissions, and how hard it is to find models with lower mileage, these trucks are cheap, super reliable, easy to work on, and come with pretty decent amounts of features. I drive an 04' GMC Yukon Xl that I got as my first car and It still runs perfectly with almost 230k miles. Awesome video btw! 👍

    From my experience don’t get a mustang for your first car. Yes they are great first cars. The only problem is from my experience (my first car was a 07 v6 mustang) the insurance company wanted 1000 a month for insurance as soon as I got my license and I turned 18. (When I had to get my own insurance). Unless you have daddy’s money (nothing wrong with that) or you make 1000 a month as a teenager (really unlikely) I would stay clear intill insurance on it would be a little cheaper. Because at that point your paying more per 6 month policy than the car is worth

      Jesus! One of my friends had an 07 or 08 and I think he paid like $800-900 a year, I don't know what his coverage was like or any of the details. It never hurts to get quotes ahead of time though. At $1,000 a month though, I agree I'd definitely hold off, that's wild

      @LibertyDrives  14 днів тому

      Lol unfortunately no V8 in the driveway at the moment, but I've had a couple in the past few years. A couple weeks ago I test drove some New Edge GTs I was heavily considering as a cheap temporary fun car until I get my real next goal but I decided to just hold off lol. Fun fact, a few of my past cars actually are somewhere on the Liberty V8s Instagram, but nobody knows which🤫😂 Maybe once I get one of my near future goal cars I'll show it or talk about it more

    Do u know what the insurance could be like for some of these cars?

    • @LibertyDrives
      @LibertyDrives  17 днів тому

      That depends on a lot of factors (if you're on your parent's plan, if you've had insurance before, how old you are, your driving record, what coverage you get (this can be huge). For my escape, I was still on my parents plan and I paid ~$400 a year for that. One of my friends had an early S197 V6 and I think he paid like $800 a year and we both have good driving records

    My first car was a 2008 ford fusion SEL. I bought the car for 6k with 85k miles. I got to 98K and the engine blew up almost killing me. I have also heard something similar to other Fusion owners.
