Mantel Installation

We weren't really happy with the color nor he quality of my first mantel so I decided to make another one and install it. I used poplar for this mantel and stained it with Minwax Early American. Poplar often has a greenish tint to it. My wife suggested we add some Red Oak stain to counter the green. Genius!
