Thanks! You're the first of about half a dozen videos to demonstrate that it only beeps one tone when "high", not a varying tone as moisture increases.
I wonder if your reading would be more accurate if you split a piece of firewood so you could get a test of the center. I used to heat our home with firewood and one sure sign of dry firewood is lots of cracks and discoloration on the ends.
If you’re looking to test logs firewood like this this product is not a good pick. You can call the technical support they will tell you that depends need to be buried into the wood to get a accurate read. And with hardwood you just cant.
Thanks for the video. I accidentally threw away the manual and never knew how to calibrate it! Now I know, thanks!
Mine had NO instructions. Thanks for the calibration feature...would have never guessed that.

We should be checking the inside of a fresh split for the best result
Yes, I found that out later, haha, Im new!
We are always learning. Keep hoarding the firewood !!!
Great review, cheers 🍻
Thanks so much
I have that meter. Mine takes about 2 to 3 seconds to return a reading.
What is the hold button for. And thank you for your videos
How do you recalibrate if it is not in the range of 20%
Great vid. For whatever reason I'm having a hard time putting the battery in.
No worries. I got it.
Thanks
Do you feel it is reliable?
Does it work on concrete?
The building mode is for things other than wood like drywall.
Thank you!
Thank you.
Been over a year, do you still use your general moisture meter? I bought one last night on Amazon just like yours, thanks Monnie
I only use it on stuff Im not sure of.
Thank you for the video. Mine didn't come with an instruction manual. It didn't work either. Very disappointed with the product.
how do you use this meter for drywall? Do you have to use the pins?
Im assuming you must stick the pins into anything you test?
I have bought one and sometimes it gives me 00% moisture is that means the wood is dead and it is really 00% or there is a problem
have you used the lid to calibrate?
If the wood is less than 5 percent it won't register on the meter
@@JohnVHLife yes it shows 18.3
If the wood is less than 5 percent it will not register on the meter
I haven't gotten over 30% with mine. Anybody ever had higher? I'm starting to question its accuracy.
