  • tr.ee/T7sSZnpw9z Thank you for watching our ear wax removal video today. The ear wax extraction featured in todays video was carried out using endoscopic microsuction. This procedure uses a small camera called an endoscope to visualise inside the ear canal whilst a small suction tube is inserted to gently remove ear wax.
We can also use other tools to remove hard ear wax, foreign bodies, peeling dead skin or for ear infection removal.
All the ear wax cleaning videos you see on our channel are carried out by our ear wax specialists Mr Rhys Barber and Mr Taylor Green.
We post new ear cleaning videos Monday - Friday at 9PM GMT so if you find ear wax removal satisfying please consider subscribing to our channel.
Ear wax plays a vital role in ear health. It helps to prevent ear infection and helps with ear cleaning by picking up any dirt or debris that accumulates in the ear canal. Normally this ear wax would fall out of the ear taking any dirt or debris with it.
    How to remove ear wax?
Many people use q-tips/cotton buds for ear wax removal at home this is one of the worst things you can put into the ear as this can lead to an increased ear wax buildup or in extreme cases impacted ear wax. The best way to remove ear wax is to let your ears clean themselves and not to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ears!
How do I know if I have an earwax blockage?
If you experience a change in your hearing, discomfort in the ear or jaw or a feeling of fullness in the ear canal you may have an ear wax blockage. Our advice is to speak to your Doctor or local Audiologist who can take a look in your ears and assess whether ear cleaning is needed.

As someone who works in the health sector (disability) I love that you're now using the medical terminology in your videos. While I don't have to use them myself on a daily basis, I do have to attend appointments with clients and being able to translate them to layman's terms if the doctor or specialist uses them is a win.
Thank you for continuing to make these videos...and your Welsh accent is a breeze!

LOVE the inclusion of the appropriate terminology and hope that you will continue to include it in the videos. It is awesome that you are putting them up in the video for all to see. Since I am a visual learner, it is much better for me to see the term and the definition rather than only hearing it. (and it has NOTHING to do with your lovely south Welsh accent). Please keep inculding the terms and defintions in your videos. They truly enhance the video's quality.

I love learning about the ears. I used to (and still do to a degree) see the knowledge as a way to advocate for myself and my family in clinical situations. Here in America the doctor does a 3 second glance in the ear no matter what you have told them it feels like and says it’s fine. My daughter has some minor hearing issues that seem a bit better these days but one time I asked about dry skin in her ear. She’d had a blockage once as a child that I removed and I had recently seen one of your videos about skin covering over the ear drum and how hard it was to see. I very gently mentioned what I had seen and made a joke about my UA-cam medical degree and asked could something like that be going on. She got mad! Said these videos should be banned… so she didn’t look again. I did my own research and I did find out that viral meningeo encephalitis can cause hearing loss as it did in Helen Keller and with Mary Ingalls. So I felt quite blessed that we just walked away with her turning the tv up too loud. That was almost 11 years ago. She’s 21 now and I don’t notice her saying “Huh?” Or turning the tv up like an 85 year old like she used to. I wonder if she is just used to it or can something neurological heal itself if it is mild enough?
