History Maker - Yuri On Ice OP (Kyle Landry Version Piano Cover)

This is the first piece of music where I actually paid money to get the sheet. And I'll tell you right now that it's all because I JUST LOVE those fast triplets at around 1:11 (yeah it's impossible for me to get them clean at this tempo, I know). Yuri On Ice isn't necessarily the most manly shit to watch, but I really enjoyed how mastery, hard work, failure and success can be experienced in a compelling and somewhat realistic way.
Kyle's arrangement conveys the show's energy very well and really stuck with me until I finally decided to buy the sheet and start learning it. I didn't have much trouble learning the notes, but playing the whole thing and making it sound good at the really quick tempo has been a real challenge. I actually learned it about a year ago and put it aside for a long while before picking it up again. And am I happy with how this recording turned out now? Hell no!
All I can say is that this recording is to the best of my current ability. I could have practiced for another week to get everything nice and clean, but I didn't want to give up the 'one vid per month' thing I've got going since the start of 2020 - and also, some weird chords in the right hand do actually make my wrist act up after a while, so I'm putting History Maker to rest now. Still, I'm glad I got a somewhat decent recording to add to the channel. It's such a wonderful and powerful cover and I'm super proud to have it in my repertoire. Thanks, Kyle Landry, you madman!
