The beef gave me a chance to rediscover Lupe. Listened to him for while like 8 years ago but since then I’ve been sleeping. He’s insanely good. Royce is good, listened to most of his records, but Lupe’s just on a different level. To make a rude comparison, in some ways it’s like the difference between Mos and Talib Kweli. Whereas Mos is just on a wholly different level, his speech is just more honest in itself, and he paints pictures that just gets you to a different space in your thoughts. From what I saw from the interaction between Lupe fiasco and Royce da 5'9 is, Royce misunderstood something that Lupe was saying and he thought that he was talking crap to him, but he was actually saying overall it doesn't matter who it is I battle. Royce thought he was talking crap and tough guy talk to him, so he responded by calling him a b**** because he knows that he's not a gangster, and because of that he decided to straight go with disrespect because he knew that Lupe wouldn't respond, since he's not like that and if he did that means when we see each other it's going to be on. @@nl5h yes. He has. All you have to do is listen to Mickey rap. It becomes quite clear he's a better rapper in every facet. It's not a knock on Ryan, it's more of a testament to Mickey clearly being a student of the craft. He takes pride in knowing how to do all the rap things where Ryan thinks adding multi syllable rhymes automatically makes it better. Ryan needs to study hip hop a little (or a lot) more.
@@thetruest7497 from a body of work perspective we can agree to disagree. peace.
@@nl5h we can disagree. But once I listened to Mickey MauSe and Hue, I had to acknowledge Mickey as one of the best. Murdering Ryan on wax was just the opening that got me to listen to Mickey.
Being better than the person you were the day before…that’s when you’re the best.
I thought Mickey was gonna start quoting "Til I Collapse" at some point, lol. Shout out to my birthday brother. July 13th!

him being a cancer makes so much sense. royce is one, too.
Yes State Property vs The LOX would have been crazy af high school memories all over again lol
Royce been quiet lately 😂 it’s pressure!!!!

Math right. Styles was grabbing his leg and foot then Cam was trying to get him off. I think people are overreacting to something they don't know the details about (as usual).
Styles just spoke on this and u can watch the footage. Styles sat in the chair and it broke. When it broke Cam started kicking him telling him to get off. That’s when Styles grabbed him.
You and math got the story wrong Cam kicked first
The internet is a dangerous playground. One mis-information can start a total war.
@kingvance thank you for clearing it up. The overreacting and the "I woulda did this if that was me..." is unnecessary because you can't speak for other grown men.

It’s tough af.. especially when I went back and listened to Royce and realized his cool ass voice and flows carries a lot of his mid ass bars
Math here to stay!! 💪💪💪💪
Mickey & Lupe > Royce, he slept on them because they were looked as nerdy back pack rappers & backfired when Lupe & Mickey went to the booth
Whatever Lux and Mook said to Lupe before he jumped on live is what ruined everything.
Shout out to Peter Quillin former Boxing Middleweight titleholder, hope he is doing well

Lyrically I think we all knew Dip wasn't on the same level as Lox. They both did they thang for the ppl in hip hop and places are cemented, we should be satisfied that we got to see them in concert. Royce is over rated. He’s DEAD NICE but he’s SLIGHTLY more famous than Mickey and he’s talking like he’s a GOAT. He forgets Lupe is actually A MEAN PEN and he’s actually popular IRL

@@chrisscornerx3 I hope so because I'm ready for this lyrical warfare. We already know Mickey got ammunition until 2022. Ugggh I need this in my life 😩💯.
Remember the D12 diss “Malcolm X” Royce would make both Mickey and Lupe uncomfortable if he got into that bag
@@PlextheDestroyer yea, Royce was playing around and wanted it to just be lyrical. Mickie and Lupe already had diss tracks for him. The people that's sleeping on Royce really javnt been paying attention. Some people can't half way things and I think for Royce that's him.. Diss tracks not supposed to be friendly and they may have gave Royce some motivation..
Its sad cause supposedly they were real cool with each other but misunderstandings get people killed in life, and that's why people need to listen and not be so fast to respond, instead of letting people clarify they wanna just jump off the cliff
@@warispeaceignoranceisstren704 Never saying Lupe is soft but he's not on that vibe so he knows he won't respond the same way.

Is there a full episode of this out ?
I get the sense the beef was a result of people talking about the same thing, but having different underlying presuppositions and internal definitions for the same thing. The difference in style and approach to the diss tracks themselves speak to the difference in thier definitions/viewpoints. It spiraled after that because ppl couldn't get on the same page, idk, maybe I'm off though too

He's been nasty, since kick push.
Always had very vivid lyricism, go look at the words I never Said. I went to rock the bells to see rage and Wu-Tang back when I was 16 from a surprise for my sister. He was there promoting loop end.. I think. Didn't even know he was going to be there. Wu-tang, R.A.T.M., public enemy, Cypress Hill, Pharaoh's monarch, brother ali, Murs, atmosphere and slug, sage Francis, and Lupe!!! Best ishh I've ever seen If you listen to especially anything from back then you can see how much of a vernacular MC he is. I'm glad the ishh popped off. I was just watching him live 2 months ago thinking I wish people who saw him for how ill he is the way they looked at him back when kick push came out because honestly he deserves it. I sing in the song write, play four instruments. When you see the clarity and thought from a lyricist at a level like he is. It makes you realize why you love doing it in the first place! All the love~Lex
Royce changed my view of him throughout this whole thang. I always thought he was a real killer on that mic. He let 2 dudes that I never thought was on his level destroy him and didnt respond wit some killer shit. But kept talking and sounding like a sucka
I've personally always thought Lupe could definitely outshine Royce if he wanted to. What him and Mickey said about his lines and style weren't that far off. Royce is nice but, to one of Lupe's points, someone like Westside Boogie, who isn't as technical, has way more quotables that make me actually feel something. Then I think about Lupe's old BET cypher. That man painted a whole mural in a couple of bars that I still remember to this day. Royce's bars haven't stuck with me as much over the years.
@@normandy2501 I underestimated Lupe, wasn't really in to him I knew he was decent but he's actually super fucking dope. I have to listen to more of his old stuff.
I hope when you counted 2 dudes , Lupe wasn’t included cause this dude been wrecking .
Is Factz tryna distance himself from the beginnings of this? Royce might've been right about that "passive" thing
Micky is Trippin he said Lupe just wants to rap but Lupe literally will not rap he wants other people like Royce to Rap to prove that he is the best when the only time he ever was saying that he was the best was in his music not on the podcast or on the live
Royce ain’t got shit to prove like idk like Mickey who nobody except rap connoisseurs know of… Royce is solidified and that’s all he was saying and Lupe came outta pocket challenging that but not willing to go up against him 🤦♂️
Just putting this theory out there. I think this whole shit was a plot by Eminem to get lupe to beef with him. The podcast, the tension, all of it was done on purpose to get lupe to put out a diss on royce so eminem would have an excuse to jump in. It explains why royce be acting so weird in the IG lives (especially when eminem is brought up) and lupe even seemed to be suspicious of royce from the beginning if you listen to his dis track. There's more but i dont feel like explaining...
I swear Cassidy was trying to lure eminem out. Especially with all the syllables talk lol.
In the back of eminem's mind he knows he hasn't beat a true mc one on one. The stans can say all they want but eminem is a true hip hop historian and going down beating pop stars ain't the way
@@bodiddly3679 X D The Cassidy part is a straight FACT. I've noticed that as well. He cant wait to prove he's better than Em.
