I stand with Pastor Begg he is 50years in the military next year and 42 years in P arkside .he has had2 cancer ops this year Well done good and faithful servant
This is a loss to Parkside Church. Alistair is an inspirational pastor and the Lord has blessed him and his listeners for decades. A man of faith, a man of God, and a man of courage. He still has a listening audience if God chooses to use him in that way.
Well I as a committed Christian was at first taken aback by Alistair's statement. Not going to listen to him anymore. But this pastor has devoted his life to the Lord and and not to listen to him again I would be cutting myself off from all the Godly preaching would be to me, cutting myself off from beautiful preaching and when I look around and listen to what comes from most churches across the world he is far outstanding in the word of God
If you are not going to listen to him anymore, and he represents a line in the sand you can’t cross, then you have removed 99.99 % of those who have a public ministry. Might as well move to an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
Begg gave an inspired "word of wisdom" in a specific situation. Proverbs teaches "wisdom" is required to "win souls". Moses did not disagree with God over marriage but gave a provision for the "hardness of hearts". The Apostle Paul instructs the treatment of a believer is opposite to the treatment of an unbeliever. One is to be ostracized that they may feel shame (and repent). The other is to be embraced that they may feel loved and open their hearts to hear the Gospel. The grandmother made her feelings clear she was in disapproval of the sin. She also made it clear she loved and supported the sinner even in his folly (if she followed this pastor's anointed advice). Did not Christ step down and into our lives "while we were yet sinners!"? Begg is being persecuted for the rare practice of rightly divided Biblical wisdom that is sorely lacking in today's church. The Lord be merciful to those taking the place of the Pharisees with their "knee jerk" reaction. Proud of you, Bro. Begg. Hang in there!
I’m praying for Pastor Alistair, I agree with the advice he gave the grandmother. No need for repentance. He’s done nothing to repent in that specific advice he gave. I would go to my grandsons marriage if he was gay. I would show him more of Jesus if I attended then if I hurt him and ruin opportunities to witness to him. I would not affirm but also not revile him.
Pastor Begg is a man of God, he has been the one who has taught the true gospel and changed my heart , committing it to God completely, with no questions or doubts . I stand with him in his right thinking of no need for repentance for his grandmother response, and his biblical proof that love and compassion are greater than ideological personal interpretations made by men who themselves preach wrong points of what the Bible says due to their own interpretations, not of Gods Words. Salvation is the main point in the Bible and it comes through the knowledge of the love of God actions through His son ‘s love for their created creatures. Love conquers all not cruelty and hate! Pastor Begg did not commit a sin that needs to repented for and be forgiven for, his stand on the issues are clear and God knows him completely, because he is one of His chosen ones! 📖✝️💖👏🏼🤗🥰. 😭😪Please, Pastor Begg, we need your Biblical gospel teachings, do not let Anyone discourage you and continue to share your inspired messages on the love of God with us!Thank you for all your hard dedication in years of service to your call Thank you .
It does sound like he’s contradicting himself. And I don’t think he shld show he is coming into agreement with this by attending or encouraging another to attend. As this isn’t just going to a birthday party, it’s showing u are condoning this by attending, that’s what wedding attendees are there for, blessing the marriage. He shld not be there if cannot wholeheartedly give his blessing for this arrangement. Ppl that have gotten free from gay or trans lifestyle have said it was the worse thing their parents or friends cld have done was to go along with them, they needed ppl to be pillars of truth with love and support and be praying for them regularly spiritual warfare prayers, let them know evil wants to rob them of their true identity, demons hate Gods creation and want to destroy people anyway they can, is the father of Lies & deceit, comes to steal, kill & destroy.
...and the Pharisees, who misunderstood Jesus Christ, crucified Him, as well. I hope everyone who follows the word of the Pharisees are satisfied and no longer have a restful night's sleep. How absolutely horrible and just one more reason the church in America is deteriorating and people are leaving. Who is without sin anyway! John 8:7!
You are so wrong! If you cannot welcome sinners in your midst you’ve lost the whole meaning of the gospel. In Jesus’ day, there were taboo crowds like lepers, prostitutes. He never distanced Himself from them. The apostle Philip ministered to a eunuch. The Saviour and the first century church was in the midst of societal taboos but never shrank from them. A holier-than-thou attitude is not befitting a Christian. I am on the side of Pr. Alistair
This has nothing to do with why he is stepping down and I support his decision and the advice he gave the grandmother have you ever heard of hate the sin but love the sinner. I wish I had never listen to your 10 minutes of wasted time.
I am praying for Alistair. He taught me so much. The Pharisees are rejoicing.
This is old news ..
Begg will continue to be a giant in the exposition of Gods word and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

There's no controversy He's been a pastor for 50 years He's retiring. He's one of the few that made it through without some type of sexual scandal
He who has no sin throw the first stone! This is an awesome godly paster! Shame on you for speaking against him.
Begg is right
Thanks, Pastor Begg, for your example of godly wisdom in this situation.

I hope he is not retiring. What a loss if he does
@@deannaestes1870He has stated that he’s retiring as head pastor and has asked for prayers for the pastor search to replace him.

I enjoyed Beggs sermons and disagreed with very little he preached - I however think he’s wrong in the advice he gave
