    Only God can give us the peace that passes all understanding. As the world gets further from God we see people racked with anxiety, depression, addiction, and hatred because our souls cry out for the God who created us and without Him we will never be satisfied. I have found learning homemaking skills can be very challenging and so rewarding, it's sad to think over the last 50 years it has been looked down upon, so glad to see more and more people embracing it. Thank you for your videos they are so full of Godly wisdom!

    Dear Lea, it’s as if you heard and spoke all the thoughts I’m having of late. I was a registered nurse for 20+ years and though I love nursing, all that time I always truly wanted to be home, caring for my home and children. In my 40’s now and finally able to experience the joy of being a housewife and homeschooling my third child. What a blessing it’s been to slow down! To make better choices for our home and family, to draw closer to God, to be able to educate our son in a Godly atmosphere, to simply enjoy the birds singing and a good cup of tea 💗💗 Thank you for taking your time and inspiring us with your beautiful words and ways 🥰

    Lea, your video truly came at the most perfect time. My daughter is getting ready to go off to college and she and I love the intention of thoughtful, diligent and grateful living. Your words and life choices continue to inspire my high school daughter and me. As a wife and mother, I desire the pursuit of a Christ centered life that knows how to swim smoothly around unhealthy lifestyle envy, noise and busyness and modern "life coaching" that doesn't lead to a life of peace and joy. Life is so amazing when we stop chasing constant entertainment, convenience and approval. Only through a life giving relationship with Christ will everything fall into place. Blessings to you.

    Thank you so much for your videos Lea! I decided this year that I was going to do a journal and to try to do something creative every day or at least every week. And the only way to accomplish that is by making time to slow down and be able to focus for a while like you talked about. This past Sunday after church I sat on my front porch and did some drawing, it was so beautiful outside and quiet the birds were singing and it was such a peaceful calm time. I have watched your channel for years and years and I feel we are kindred spirits 😊! May the Lord continue to bless you! Love Kate

    Once again, all truth in a beautiful package!
    When I homeschooled our daughters I knew that college was not where they belonged. I told only a very small handful of people in our life that college was an institution of indoctrination and that we didn’t have the goal of college for them. We received a lot of judgement even from some of the carefully selected individuals that I told. Looking around today, I’m so glad that Yah gave us this vision for them. ❤

      Home school is a blessing! Unfortunately many don’t see that ! Even if they have the means to ..

    • @01happykat
      @01happykat Рік тому +1

      I attended a college that was nearly free of indoctrination (I only remember one class in which a professor overtly preached her political beliefs), and several of my classmates had been homeschooled (they were all very bright and high achievers). My favorite professor used to remind us there was no excuse for thinking for ourselves. She was correct. Unfortunately, she pulled the plug on teaching English Literature when she found students no longer had any interest in or time for reading books. I believe the advent of social media prevented them from focusing on books, and the huge increase in tuition prompted more students to work full-time while pursuing full-time studies, which greatly reduces time for reading and writing.
      Sadly, my beloved alma mater has transformed into what I fear is also an institute of indoctrination. I stopped giving two years ago. It breaks my heart not to support them, but I cannot in good conscience support an institution that tells students what to think instead of how to think for themselves. Even the course offerings are drastically different. It's sad to see what higher education has devolved into, especially considering the debt young people accrue for a degree that often leaves them bereft of critical thinking and writing skills.

    • @bont7948
      @bont7948 Рік тому +2

      I get it! I always cringe a little when I express the idea of not sending my homeschooled kids to college one day out of fear of the response I’ll get. Ultimately it’s up to them but ugh yuck the indoctrination… Lord please lead us in the truth on that narrow path that leads to life!

    • @alittleheavenonearth
      @alittleheavenonearth Рік тому +2

      @@bont7948 I could 💯 relate to your statement. But with time my relationship with god became more and more important and that took me to a different level in my life . I no longer care what others think or say . If your grounded in the word and have a daily relationship with your father in heaven he will give us the courage to press forward and do what is pleasing to his sight and not to others . ❤️❤️

    • @01happykat
      @01happykat Рік тому

      @@bont7948 You can look at non-traditional colleges that may hold values and beliefs similar to your own. Hillsdale College presents a very different curriculum from the typical SJW/DEI nonsense invading and infecting college campuses. Your children will likely receive an outstanding education at one of these non-traditional colleges as well. I know I did and am forever grateful for it!
      Plus, remaining curious about what your children are studying in college and offering an alternative perspective helps balance any teachings you're not fond of. My dad was instrumental in doing that for me and pointing out and explaining fallacies my professor presented (I was fortunately to have only had 1 who shared her biases). It helped that my dad was extremely well educated in his own right and remained an autodidact and always questioning. I have followed in his footsteps. Honestly, as someone who now works in a VERY leftist setting, having a different point of view and way of thinking helps my organization, even if they'd never admit it. ;)

    After I graduated from University here in Ontario I got married and decided to be a homemaker. I homeschooled my children , I raised them vegetarian so they would have love compassion and respect for all life and taught them the primacy of God. After they went to University some of the pernicious indoctrination into the prevalent ideologies have sadly got to them . Our son studied English literature and then an Art degree and he’s full of woke ideas . Our daughters are closer to the truth . I also cross stitch , make sourdough bread pray from my breviary and rosary daily . And I read , tons of books so does my husband . Thank you for your truly lovely videos , I hope it will influence young people who seem to be so lost these days .❤️

    Thank you, your videos are always so calming and thoughtful. I don't follow a religion but rather give thanks and gratitude for the beauty of creation but I still really appreciate your readings. All I ever aspired to was to be a wife and a mother, I met my husband when I was 30, had two children, home educated them, mostly because of problems my son was having (that said, I would do it again because the teaching quality and GI in schools is shocking), they are now adults, one is flourishing and left home last year the other I am carer for. I work part time from home and very much enjoy the slow and creative life of a homemaker and wife, it's sad that's it's not celebrated as an option for women these days, I know I've often been frowned upon by other "working" women as my children were growing up, as though giving up a career in favour of marriage and children is outdated and a poor choice. We can be made to feel lesser, apart from within certain religious communities but those on the outside think it's regressive. I see it as a sharing of tasks and utilising the natural male and female qualities to enable a rich and fulfilling family life in which to raise children. Wishing you and your family a very contented Easter time. x

    Thank you for this video and all the content you produce. It’s nice to see people with similar values & ways of life in a world that seems so opposite at times. ❤

    I loved this. Have you had any recent podcasts? I might just be overlooking it but I haven't found one. My first veteran/first responder doesn't drink tea. I do, though. I'll be checking out Artillery Tea Co. Thank you for letting us know about them. God bless you, Lea. ❤

    I love your videos for several reasons. Today I am really wanting to know where you shop for clothes, or do you make your clothes? I love the dresses you wear; they look pretty and comfortable and modest.

      How sweet friend, thank you. I am in process of learning how to make clothing but for now I typically shop second hand. I enjoy sites like thredup. I will use their search bar and put in terms like 100%cotton or linen or prairie dress and they have some great cheaper options. I also love vintage and thrift shops when I can get there.

    Everything you hear from some people in all kinds of religious houses and temples, such as synagogues, churches and mosques, as well as in the Internet space, is mostly empty words. Remember that. Of course, a person by nature cannot be silent, wordless and uncommunicative. But according to the words that you (and anyone else) utter, you will be judged and put to the test according to your heart. Aren't you afraid? Remember that a person's true life takes place in his heart. And with the help of words, a person reveals himself and shows who he really is. Although many hypocrites sometimes manage to hide their true nature behind beautiful words. Therefore, be vigilant, attentive and careful before you say something, so that it does not become too late and the matter cannot be changed. Ok? Speak in fact and with legal or at least logically irrefutable evidence and witnesses. As they say, "listen, but also think for yourself."
    "Not everything that glitters is gold"(my version... :-)...). "All that glitters is not gold"(online version).
