I don't think it can be overstated how important it is to have videos like this demonstrating positive support for mates, especially within the bounds of competition. Kids especially need to see Storror et al's way of interacting with each other - super important to see that's a way you can be in the world.
A healthy martial arts class is like this, too. Even though you're competing against each other, getting taken down with a nice clean throw and it's like, "I lost but that was SO GOOD!"
Huge amounts of respect for Benj on that last challenge. Almost lost a finger and went back for another attempt? Man is dedicated beyond a shadow of a doubt!
I love these types of videos so much. Really shows the difference in skills and strengths when it comes to parkour and climbing, especially the different muscles that are primarily used. I'd love even more of these!
climbing, is closer to rock-climbing then one might realize as someone who used to it a lot if you used climbers chalk it make it way more safer on wet surfaces, if you did not know this imitation powers are made from crushed clean eggshells an mix of an clay is how its home-made. growing up used to lots of rock-climbing with my big sis.
Last challenge wasn't about the score anymore, but about Benj, Max and Josh to make it to the top. Absolutely pristine example of dedication and never giving up! What a mindset! Hats off, lads. Thanks for a great collab Monday video ❤
i love how much toby is grinning, putting climbing and parkour together makes him so joyful :)) i also am always very pleasantly surprised by benj's climbing skills
Happy 30th birthday for yesterday Benj - hope you had a good one! As a fairly recent recruit to the Storror army I have yet to watch all the videos. Yesterday I watched the "redemption" video from last year for the first time. It was particularly pleasing to see the two most modest members of the crew - Josh and Sacha - in very fine form; and in particular it was fantastic to see Sacha complete his epic water challenge - I genuinely didn't think he would do it.
What an amazing video lads! Really the vibe, the competition, the guests, the spots, the filming, the skills everything is on point! Props to the Cave bros for the dedication at the last challenge 👏.
Max and Benjs struggle at the last Challenge was amazing! Could totally feel the annoyance of just missing it (Max kicking the wall crackled me up). And then you made it! Somehow it fired me up real hard. Lets go! Great video guys
23:23 ❤ And propss to Benj and Max at the end persevering after ripping the hands up was nuts! 👏🏾 Loved this, feel like I been waiting for this kinda collab, would lovee to see more!! 🙌🏾
Finally the collaboration we’ve all been waiting for!! Would’ve been nice to see a fairer balance of parkour challenges to bouldering but a great effort from everyone!
One thing I've noticed about climbing - you have to keep your hips as close to the wall as possible. That way you "stand", not "hang" and our grip gets better. You can see Max and Josh "hanging" in the 3rd challenge, but Toby actually keeps his hips close to the wall Mad respect to all the boys!
Shouts to you guys for not pushing that guy away and helping him by just listening! Awesome you guys took the extra step and put his info in the description
I worked for some months in London (I'm from France) and during the first challenge, I was like "I know this place, i know this place it's weird" and then I was like "waterloo station, the national theatre, the skatepark !!!" London architecture has so much personnality and leaves such an impact on you that you don't forget the "feeling" of those spaces even years and years after. shoutout to storror team, you guys really know how to have fun wherever you are ;)
Love this collab! This is right up my alley. My main observation here is that the parkour lads struggled with controlling momentum, and the climbers struggled with building and using momentum. That said everyone performed really well!!
yup, shoes make a big difference in those "wait can you actually grip that spot?" moments. At the same time, wasn't much parkour specific challenge in here with carrying momentum and fluidity, so hardly a big representation of both disciplines. 90% bouldering/buildering. Still an awesome collab tho!
So perfect! But this clearly shows how much the other Storror boys need to do some climbing, Toby's miles ahead of most of the team. I suggest a collab with Louis from Catalyst Climbing, get all the boys learning some proper bouldering technique before a re-match! It would be extremely entertaining too 😁
I'll add that Louis released a buildering video a few weeks back too, if someone hasn't seen it. There's a line on IMAX too in it that we need to see Storror boys try!
You guys... Thank you, For making me feel like a weak man... While I cheer for ya from Oregon. You never give up, you push yourselves everyday, your strong men and push a good influence about training and working towards what you want. Watching you grow makes me stronger, even if I'M not capable of doing what you do. Thank you all, for letting me ride along
Thanks for taking on this challenge @STORROR. As an amateur boulderer myself, I appreciate the sheer longevity associated with climbing, and I am sure it will become you all. I have seen quite senior climbers at my gym dole out some insane climbing strength and prowess at unbelievable ages whereas I think with parkour that graph between years on this rock and one's performance might dwindle much earlier just due to the fact that bodies deal better with slower-paced repetitions rather than with explosive movements/agility, especially as one runs through that finite arc of time we have here. I am sure you all (Storror) or Dom might outlast many climbers when it comes to this question of longevity and performance, but the average joe like me stands a better chance maintaining my musculature without injury for a longer period bouldering than as a parkour performer. Obviously that does not mean one is not more fun than the other, and for that reason I am and will be a fan or your team's sheer tenacity. Keep at it :)
@@tamara9 I know, I saw them put it on screen… But when I searched for it on YT (specifically looking for channels), and on IG, nothing showed up at all for some reason???
Last year in June I became sick with Tick-fever and was down for about a week. I discovered Storror, and these lads' positivity and approach to life got me through some bad days.
Thanks for the inspiration to get back to strength training, even though I'm old and broken. I won't be doing the wild things I was as a vert skater 30 years ago, but I can easily do better than I am now.
Even though there was playful gloating. It’s always amazing to see how supportive everyone is. Always cheering each other on, giving advice, respecting each other.
Yes but imo the mat should have been positioned slightly away from the wall, it's not typical for your feet to land touching the climb and if you fall from further up you appreciate the mat being back a bit. Also i didn't see any active spotters near the mat with their hands ready, would have been easy to organise given the amount of people.
@@SafetyKitten , we're only talking around 15cm, at the heights they were climbing it's far more likely for someone to fall backwards by landing on the far edge because the mat wasn't far enough back. If you've taken bouldering falls you'd know that it's usual to fall away from the wall.
Always happy to see long vids from you guys! Great vibes as per usual and on top of that great to watch you do a cross over to climbing with this! I'm always checking out buildings if they could be climbed and wondering about it but I never actually try, so it's fun to see you do it
I'd love to see another battle with challenges that have a Parkour route and a Climber route. Probably an unrealistic request, but it would be awesome to see! Keep up the great content boys!
This was fun to watch. You should do this again against the same team, but do mostly parkour challenges and see how they do. One of the challenges should be to catapult the team up a wall or something along those lines.
So if Benjamin Segar would've been into parkour there would've been three sets of siblings on the Storror team dang what a missed opportunity love this video
Another amazing video, guys. One of my favorites. You all did quite well. I'd love to see Storror challenge themselves to more urban climbing like this. Thanks
I don't know when I've felt so proud of you Storror men! I noticed that the climbers had different footwear. Was that an advantage to them? Happy belated birthday Benj!
Climbing shoes are much, much tighter and lets you have better control over your foot placement, so you’re able to use the smallest holes or chips as footholds more confidently
This was massively skewed towards the climbers in a genuinely unfair way. The first few challenges started out fair for both sides and then the last ones were exclusively skewed towards climbers, there was no way storror could win.

After having watched every single video in their Latest and Popular playlists (about 600 videos) 40 min is quite nice considering.
