hi; i have thermostat of T6373B1239 old model and i will change to T5. how can do it? The heating and cooling system is central, and in the summer season, the chillers are turned into cooling from the central system, and into heating in the winter. So I can't change the cold door to heating and vice versa. According to the above, what is the wiring method from the old model to the new one? thank you
Just had the T5 installed. I am in manual mode - no schedule. The 'heat on' message is displaying even when the heat is not on. Only time it disappears is when I turn the set point down several degrees, but then when it starts heating at that set point same thing happens...'heat on' displayed even after heat turns off. Is this an issue?
No you can not. Sounds like your thermostat might be in a very bad location. Should be on an inside wall away from any source of heat or cold and way from any sun light.
Trying to set my T5 home well on the face of it just keeps rolling by set time and date and at the bottom it says done and I can't do nothing so what do I need to do to fix it
I'm trying to set my thermostat is stuck on you're stuck on set time in the very tops at 777 at the bottom it says done and I can't do nothing what do I need to do to fix it
Hi! I was just trying to figure it out that if I only want it to be turned on every morning at certain time, and off the rest of the day, how would I adjust the schedule? Cuz somwtime at night I do want to turn it on only when I am cold, and I would turn it off after it reached my desired degree. But realized the schedule time wouldn't work at all the next morning… is it because I turned it off?
When you have to have a two part video to cover how to operate your new thermostat for the house......you have a thermostat that is way too complicated to operate unless you are a computer programmer.
Look I realize there's pros & cons to everything in life. But right on. All roads apparently lead to a computer utopia. But in this case, what was so horrible about the manual thermostats? You know the ones with a physical lever that moved a dial to the average temp you wanted? simple. Not complicated, easy to understand. Just a little container of mercury to tell it when to engage & shut off. This touch screen thing is something only a computer geek would comprehend. It won't even do what I ask it to do sometimes. I'm going back to 1985 see you later.
@@higherlearning228 I replaced it with the Honeywell manual switch function thermostat with up & down temp setting for cooling, heating, and emergency heat. A simple to operate every day thermostat. I threw this extremely over complicated one that came with the new unit in the garbage.
@@sickcxntst - Yes, I did. By going to “menu”, you can cycle through several options that will designate the operating system including “test”. My T5 finally provided the “COOL” option for selection.
Wonderful and very detailed tutorial. Loved it.
Your videos are extremely helpful. Thank you😊
Can the humidity levels be controlled on the unit?
Can i use this thermostat if I have a heat pump with an outdoor sensor?
How do i put it on hold?
Is there a way to calibrate the temperature? Thermostat reads it’s 73, when the true temperature is 70.
You might be able to adjust it one or two or three degrees up or down...that's on my T6 anyway...somewhere in the menu...

Can you calibrate the temperature if the shown house temperature is wrong?

Awesome thanks.

Yes make sure the schedule option is turned on. And then program each period of the day as you desire. Watch part 2 of this T5 series i go over it.
Got it...
