That was a massive large mouth bass. Those are also probably the only fish that would go after that I want to fish that lake

I have a suggestion to make the rescue of your boats a lot easier, Simply put a couple of rare earth magnet on your rescue boat or speed boats.Weight is minimal and strong enough to capture and tow boat back to safety.

just a suggestion try using some rubber windows sticky tape sealer if the hatch is bolted or something similar if its tapped its tapped

pretty great example as to why you grab the waterproof clear hockey tape and seal the hatches... ive flipped my brushless cat so many times on big lake, but have never had a drop inside it

big rainbow was probably trying to go for a bug and your boat happened to hit it, then the rainbow spased out and jumped. if you look it has a flash of pink and red, bass down have that, it also might have been a brown trout ahah.

that was definitely a bass, or northern. Those fish are the only ones big enough to do significant damage to a boat that size. I'm sure it wasnt a muskie though because then it would have probably swallowed the boat whole.

can you do a video with the sea fire boat on a singel 3s lipo and show how fast it is ??
OK some tips from an old rc boat racer from down under..First that yellow hull needs some trim tabs tied into a mix so you can keep the nose down in the straights and set up so it pushes the nose down in the corners so you can stay full throttle longer and not worry about flipping or flying off into the wind.
Second I used to take an old fishing rod with a 3gang anchor type hook with blunt tips to retrieve my boat when it did flip or run out of fuel :-D

you got suggestions for my smash shark on 4s? it wont stop skipping ive setup the prop so its lower and that lowerd the skip enough to reach higher speeds but on witha very slight turn, it doesnt come with trims tabs its a stepped v hull if im right.
im upgradin to a 2200kv leopard brushless motor and 5s lipo soon just want some advice to keep it more stable. ive got onboard footage if that may help
Ricky Cooke Try adding trim tabs and a hook blade like you see on the inside sponson of a hydro/outrigger to the transom. placed about 1 inch inside from side you turn.
The guy I buy all my boats from puts them on as a matter of course and my boat turns on a dime at full noise 90 degree turn in 1,5 boat lengths or less.

I ended up buying somw tfl trim tabs 38mm x 32mm as suggested on a few race boat forums and im well and truly hitting over 60 kmh due to zero skipping. Tried a 6s on my leopard 2200 kv 3674 motor and im not doing that again - too quick but still stupid stable. Can wait to get my new prop the old one has a good chip towards the front the old prop is a 38mm 1.4p and i still waiting for the 1.4p 40mm prop. Setup runs near hot in esc due to the rudders small watter nipple but every ither niple is quite large.
So im reaserching some rudders with a twin water pickup and 3.5 - 4 mm nipples so it cools properly.
Im guestamating top speed will be over 100 kmh once finished on 6s. And 4s roughly 60-70 kmh

im having trouble balancing my 40mm prop i just got - am i meant to be filing down th flat spot on the back of the blade? been using a magnet balancer with rounded magnets so its very accurate but ive shaved a fair bit off and its still heavy on the shaved side wtf?
Paul love your seafire man. I have one too but mine sucks water real bad. Tried everything to seal d hull from water with silicone. Any tips.to reduce this problem?ned help badly.

I just discovered this channel today and I'm very glad y'all posted this because I had no idea of the RC was even a sport I know I mean I love it but I didn't know it was a professional sport I just found a new hobby hats off to the camera person really good job really good you got the fish on film and that's what matters awesome job camera person... couple of these remarks uncalled for and a bit mean what if you had a UA-cam channel and your child video tape and paper called your child names how would you feel I think the camera whoever was behind a camera person did a damn fine job I got the fish on film and capture of the entertainment what else the summer you people want from somebody filming he could edit to do it but then I wouldn't have as much fun watching the race why post something if you want to edit it.. so I think he posted the best video they good I think it was awesome people want to talk smack about it talk smack the camera person did a great job driving the boats are awesome and make things to top things off a tugboat that could fetch go figure awesome awesome....

I run r c boats also and I have a cheap casting rod with a tennis ball to cast across over the boat to retrieve it when this happens.

A good idea for retrieving the other boat is to make a foam piece that just tapes on to the other boat on the front that is a large arc to go around the other boat so it cant go anywhere but the direction the pushing boat does
To be honest I haven't run Nitro for about 20 years, I would suggest checking the rc forums to see which brands are popular now. Just make sure it's a good reputable brand and you should be fine.

Hats off to the person behind a camera for getting that attack of the killer fish you don't get that often!!.. whoever's behind the camera good job because you just happen to be filming the right time the right place and you got a slight Loch Ness monsters brother you never get it on film and you got it good job buddy

It seems clear to me the boat hit a wave and what you think is a fish is actually a splash of water from the impact reflecting the light.

@TheLipRipp3r Haa haa, Yeah, Not sure if the fish tried to bite the boat or if it was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. If the fish got hit by the prop or rudder, it wasn't a hppy fish. Earlier that day we Frank's boat hit something too, we think it was a fish too, but din't get it on film. It was near Dusk, so maybe the fish were feeding on bugs at the time too, LOL

@catamaranman333 you know your rc boat stuff!! In stock form Paul's boat was running a bit faster than mine so I was tried to trim it to squize all I could out of mine. The SurgeCrusher's power system has been upgraded since then with a 1600watt motor and 180A esc. By the way "Don't call me Francis!" "If you call me Francis I Kill ya!!" LOL!!!! I think you should use electrical tape or something along those lines to tape the seal around the canopy. I have had a few boats sink from turtles, even had my own turtle attack with a mini brushless boat and it was underwater for almost a minute.

The RC tug is a good idea, is that just a cheap WalMart boat?
Tennis Ball with rod and reel for easy retrieval. Throw the ball over the boat and reel it in. 1970s trick do to the Nitro alcohol engines that we used to use back then were kind of finicky and unreliable.
You had to tape the cover from the receboat, so it will be water proof ;)

the fish that "ATTACKED" the boat was a large mouth bass and it was probably protecting its fry thinking the boat was a small duck landing to attack its fry "offspring of bass who are too small to evade pretators".
You probably can use 20% but won't be very fast. When I used to run nitro boats we used at least 40% but preferred 60% to go fast. That was back in the 80s and 90s. They probably use stonger than that by now.
