- Quick Video of the Genesis RC Boat after we ran the Genesis with the new prop shaft we decided to put on a larger prop on that has more pitch! The waters were a little too rough for a good full speed run. I am still trying to dial it in. I think it needs the weight shifted a little bit forward.

It would be really interesting to have your expertise looking at an eagle tree data logger for amps/watts/cumulative MAH used. I tried to shoot for the "maximum efficiency amp" (aka max amp) rating of the motor with the best performance...

I have a genesis that I am running 73.1 mph a little work on your setup will fix the problems..You should move the batteries forward a 1/2" at a time until the boat stops flipping that will improve your top speed too..
Also I can't run a 645 prop due to the amount of torque it creates on this hull 445 is the best prop for this boat IMHO
What motor are you running? I'm running stock motor with 180a esc and a prop from a proboat voracity and I'm only getting 40mph on 6s
Working on mine . I pool noodles mine keep the bow down fishing weigh
Another question, how much does your boat weigh? How did you do to eliminate the engine torque twist?
Where is the CG of this boat?
need rear trim fins keep the front down wind is lifting the noise up surface drive is better with a three blade prop take the pressure off the motor like they have on deep v hulls check it out on youtube
Damn and i thought the last video was fast lol,but man this bad boy was mental and i loved the way it took off and right it self on landing,great stuff Paul and great video work Frank.
Thanks Ian! Hopefully next time we take it out we can break 60mph. I think if we can get out there on a day the wind is calm and the water smoother it should run better. We will also try and move the CG forward a little more to keep the nose down. Thanks for the comments and watching Ian!

The more I see you guys, the more I am thinking to try rc boating..
you should try it, it's exhilarating, super fun and challenging . .but make sure you get the right boat that fits your level of experience with any rc vehicle so that you can have an enjoyable experience and not a frustrating or disappointing one. . .cheers!

Nice video! What kind of RC components do you use? And what kind of prop is it exactly? I started driving raceboats with the Genesis, it's really great fun. It's just a little bit too slow with the original stock motor. I use a 120A esc. Normally i fly bigger RC planes, gliders and helis. But this rc boat makes really great fun.
What are the electronics in this is it the hobby king kit with the motor

Moving the batteries up front fixes the walking problem at high power? I thought it had to do w/ the single drive prop and too much torque.

No that's definitely 6s
A wider boat and tunnel hull or tri hill may be a better choice or else downsize that motor or voltage. Not sure what you’re running in there it’s clearly oversized in power and any catamaran hull or even a v hulls wont do well with higher torque and speeds.

Couldn't really tell how fast it was moving be he kept on zooming in on the RC boat to make it look like it was flying Lol.

How do I know what size props I can run on my genius without burning out the motor??
What good is speed if the boat capsize easily at top speed on choppy waters. You can't win a race like that.
let the water settle before doing fast run
THat boat handles poorly. I dont think its worth the speed to sacrifice that much performance in handling. slow it down and offset the rudder. That hull isnt meant to push powerful motors with torque.
