Dave, you look so content and comfortable sitting in your tractor hauling loads of dirt into the pull along trailer. So, you're in the zone just 'churnin & burnin'. Good to see you got the Super Shakin Soil Sifter back into serice. Appreciate the Memorial Day message. Many folks seem to just take a day of freedom for granted. In fact, some of them openly declare they have no freedom and are ashamed of our great nation. They truly have no clue nor do I think they care but only when their personal freedoms are trampled, do they come to realization that our nation must stand and fight to retain it's soverignity. As you know Dave, I served over 28 years in the Corps and would do it all over again for this great nation. Each day of freedom comes at a cost. The brave souls who have given their all MUST be remembered and praised for their courage and ultimate sacrifice. Thank God we still have citizens who realize that the cost for freedom ain't free. Thanks again Dave and Semper Fi, brother.
much love and respect I sleep better knowing our country is protected by great men like yourself. no doubt if trouble arise you would jump in to defend this nation even still today. I worry about our future though. this new generation is lacking in more ways than one.

I too thought the very same thing about our nation's future but there are still those young men and women out there today who truly feel our nation is good and they would fight to defend her. Example, my two nephews. The oldest just completed his college years and is now a 2ndLt in the U. S. Army reserves while his younger brother is currently attending his boot camp in the U.S. Coast Guard at Camp May, NJ. If you met them both, you would want to clone them to produce many more like them. They are my nephews whom I made a video where they are firing pistols on my land. They love this nation and are giving back. You are correct that it's troubling to see folks BASH our nation. They've always had freedom and do NOT realize how easily they could lose it. It starts in the mind and in the heart. If they do not know the love of God, they can easily be lead to believe any old thing thrown at them and carry the flag of defeatism. We must return to the basics. Our nation is a good nation representing freedom for all regardless of what we personally think. Thank you for your support, Dave. How's she goin'? Nice job sifting the earth Dave. Your sifter is awesome. I agree with your message too. I am very fortunate to have lived in a time and country where I wasn't forced to join the military and go who knows where to fight for our freedom, or for some other countries freedom. But if I did have to go I would have signed up, not been drafted. I do respect and thank every veteran I can, we owe them a lot for sure!! Happy Memorial Day Dave and take 'er easy!!!
very well said, I remember back in the late sixties we would look at the newspaper to see who's social security numbers were coming up to be drafted. had I been 18 I would have likely been drafted. my number batch was active several times.
Great video on so many points. The sifter does an awesome job cleaning the soil! I pulled the trigger on purchasing my first tractor as soon as my finances allowed. Now my 20 month old grandson loves it! I spent several hours this weekend driving him around the property. I did not serve either, though many people think i did. But it was the Vietnam era. I almost enlisted but many people talked me out of it. I certainly know about being in a very dark place. It happened to me, but i am slowly pulling out of it. Hang in there and keep fighting.
same here struggling but hopeful I can pull out of this state of being.

this thing is amazing! all my neighbors have been amazed at the dirt that comes out of it.
Your exactly right Dave, we hafta find our joy. Depression is not a good place to be. So good to see you back in action my friend. God will always lead us if we let him. He will open doors a d clear our paths. God is an Awesome God.
I sure hope he can save me. I can tell you my faith is in a struggle right now. I never thought Id ever be saying that. only time will tell.

Nice message at the end. I could have used the soil sifting screen this last week. It works very well.
thanks, I can tell you I have had this machine about 5 years and although its not used monthly when I need it sure is nice it being there. I was on the fence about fixing it when it broke apart but obviously it was the right thing to do. shortly after I got all this dirt free to sift and mess around with.

awesome hearing from you, I was just thinking of you the other day. the heat hit us and I was wondering how the weather was out there. this humidity is killing me the last few days. it had been mild weather and all of a sudden it got nasty humid and hot. take care and enjoy the summer my friend.
@@daveknowshow, oddly counter to the rest of N America, Cali has had an unseasonably wet and cool winter, spring, and beginning to summer. Everywhere I go people are talking about our good fortune. That's all about to end though. We'll be spending some time in the Central Valley this weekend and the temps are supposed to be in the 100s. It was nice while it lasted and we're still grateful.

@@daveknowshow, our cool weather was too good to be true. I believe we've had 2 weeks straight with the temps above 90 here in the Central Valley including a few days over 100. It is a dry heat but too damned hot to get anything done. :(
@@bayareasparky9180 for real its been a wet humid heat here that keeps you soaking wet. only plus is when the wind blows that wet sweat feels pretty good. that dry heat is a killer. i went to vegas once and the dry heat was something like I never experienced before

Dave, have a couple questions: 1. @6:25 you changed the screen, why? And 2. Is all this "raw" soil from your property? And 3. What are you doing with it after you sift it? Been watching a long time, but maybe I need to go back and watch some of your older videos.
the screen change was because the materials moisture content changed. what I had been screening was rather wet / moist and so I used the grizzly with a wide opening ABOUT 2 INCH. since this new material was not as moist and seemed to sift very well I switched to the finer screen that is about 3/4 inch diamond shaped. this results in a better cleaner material which is what I want for Coppa's pen. dont want anything in there to cut his paw.
2 the raw material is actually on the property that joins me. its not mine but I have permission to harvest some dirt and firewood. I signed an agreement with the owner.
3 so some of this is for Coppa's pen. he loves digging in the dirt. some I will use in other areas of the property and to share if there is any left.
