I tried this iron method last night, 1. I flash dry it after print.(heat gun xud also work) 2. Used teflon sheet, ironed the shirt for like a minute and half. 3. Did a wash test, so far it looks good, ink is not breaking, still intact with the fabric. i will do a couple more washes. You cant have everything when you starting. i'm in South Africa, heat press are expensive, conveyor dryers cost same price as a 2nd hand car.
To those in the comments: Dry it to touch with a heat gun first And then use the iron You’re going to want to use low temp curing ink Use a temp gun so you know when it’s done curing
1. Depends on the ink. 2. Plastisol needs to reach 320-330* F throughout.. THROUGHOUT... So get a cheap laser thermometer from harbor freight or amazon and get the surface of the ink to about 350 or so. 3. This video is leading to poor quality shirts being produced.

@Africa Matji what kind of ink did you use?
@@simbaladesignsinsights I am using plastisol ink.
How did the shirts come out after the couple of washers bro?
The print is fine. Ink still intact
@@rawiriadair9595 I think for a more commercial solution. Heat press is a definate. Iron a 'home made' type solution
Straight to the point
Love the video!
How long do I do it for, and what setting on the iron?
Starting to make my own bootleg shirt. Thank you for this video!
I don’t have parchment paper, will 2 sheets of wax paper with the waxy layers facing each other will suffice? Cuz that’s what I got…
What kind of ink was this? Can I use this method for Print Perfect, Kurage and Plastisol?
...maybe beer.
is the ink in any way dry before you iron it? or is the ink wet/fresh off the press when you heat set it?
You’re going to want to dry it off a little with a heat gun first

Is this for plastisol ?
How long did you wait after you screen print the shirt
All i did was turn the garment inside out and iron the print from the inside, that works too
Do you do this to wet ink?
Good one
Maybe some tin foil will work…
as soon as ya wash ...its gone
No it's not. The point of heat setting is making it washable.
I did it yesterday, washed and it faded a lot, and I mean A LOT

@@creepybunny255 what about a heat press?
