Jem'Hadar Battlecrusier - Star Trek Starships Breakdown
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 чер 2024
- The Dominion War was one of Starfleet’s worst times. Many Federation Starships and those of The Federation Alliance and Breen-Dominon Alliance were lost in many battles throughout the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. However, while we’ve spent plenty of time looking at the likes of the Defiant-class, Excelsior-class and even the cannon fodder... I mean, Miranda-class, it’s time we shed some light on The Dominion’s Sta

Knowing my luck, I'd probably be flying an Oberth class.
I would gladly serve on the USS Explodium
The rock wall ships?
I'd go with an Akira Class. I love that ship.
I love the Akira too. If I were Klingon, I'd take a Vor'cha.
@@jamesabernethy7896 Oh yes! The Vor'cha is another fantastic design.
Akira class all the way. Gotta love the 15 torpedo launchers.
Beautiful ship. My fav of Jem'Hadar fleet!
Intrepid, alway need more
Imagine a Space Battle Between Jem'Hadar Battle Cruiser and Odyssey-class starship
Imagine a Space Battle between JemHadar Battle Cruiser and the Scimitar Reman Warbird.
Have a feeling that the Scimitar would do major damage against multiple Dominion ships.
@@DavidEvans_dle I've wondered about that one for a long time.
I would love to see a slugfest between a Jem'Hadar Battle Cruiser and the Uss Lakota.
@@DavidEvans_dle Remember in Nemesis Data said about Shinzon, "He fought twelve major engagements in the war, ALL successful." So I am sure the Scimitar could easily wipe out a small fleet of Dominion ships. Especially being able to fire WHILE cloak even with a "perfect" cloak as Geordi described to Riker.
@@DavidEvans_dle Good match
The Dominon war? There's only one ship for me. the USS Conscientious Objector, a Coward Class Starship. Along with her sister ships USS Not There and the USS I'm Going for Help. It's never a good day to die. 😻
Just go Defiant class and not turn off the cloak
@@-Bill. Anti Neutrino Scans Have Entered The Chat.
Sabre class, love those little ships!
An Excelsior class, of course!
Same here.
Are Sovereign class ships welcome?
We know they can take a hit!
Sovereign class for me!!!
Streamrunner or an Akira would be my choices of ships in that era
Excelsior class
I would want to command an Excelsior class because its my favorite class but knowing my luck,I would be commanding the first Miranda that got destroyed.
Same. Excelsior class ftw!
"victory is life"
Excelsior but Lakota subtype 🎉
I think I would be in command of an Excelsior Class.
I think i'd stick with a Prometheus-Class if i had the choice but flying a Defiant-Class ship would be equally cool
Nice new video Captain! I hope you, Lt. Commander Adam and the rest of the Trek Central crew have been well.
The planetary shot at the 1 minute mark definitely shows the differences not only in looks but SIZES between the Jem'Hadar Battlecruisers and Battleships. The main capital Battleships are MUCH larger.
Jake: "Someone told me that ship out there is twice the size as a Galaxy class ship and three times as strong".
For taking command of a ship in the Dominion War....hmm tough choice for sure. I'd have to go between I can't pick exactly one...but top three options for me would be Galaxy Class, Sovereign class, and Intrepid Class. In MY opinion they were among the top 5 powerful Starfleet ships of the time with the Defiant class being included in that top 5.
For the Jem'Hadar ships...hmmm if I were a good commander I probably would go with the Battlecruiser. They are smaller yes but they obviously have better maneuverability than it's bigger sister would.
I will say it's still hard for this Trekkie to see the Odyssey get plastered and destroyed like it did in the episode "The Jem'Hadar".
I really love John Eaves work. His design on the Enterprise-E was sublime and perfect.
I'm partial to the Nova class. Yeah it was basically a replacement for the Oberth, but still a nice small ship.
Either an Ambassador(cause I’m biased) or a unassuming Oberth packed with pulse cannons and quantum torpedoes!!
If I want my favorite, it's the sovereign. But realistically I'll take the Akira
I actually do command the battleship in Star Trek Online :)
I’d command a Defiant, Sabre or Norway class starship.
You’ll command a garbage scow and you’ll like it. 😂
Sorry. I couldn’t resist. Because resistance is futile, ya know. 😁🖖🏻
I would go Excelsior class but my favorite class would be a Nebula class good video
1:33 PLZ bring back the episode reviews!
Have you thought of delving into son'a lore? I find it fascinating (frustrating) that this faction managed to create warships and certain technologies surpassing those of the Federation in just under a century after being part of a bronze age-level civilization
The Ba’ku, the race the Son’a originated from were already advanced. They were spacefaring before the 21st century, and they weren’t indigenous to the planet Ba’ku.
They chose to live simpler lives but never lost the technological know-how.
@@BC-dn6oq Yes, that's the explanation we get, but how did they get off the planet in the first place?
@@samrizzardi2213it wouldn’t be too out of the imagination if they kept the original ships as a ‘just in case’ back up plan - maybe the dissidents took em.
@@BC-dn6oq It would also be interesting to know if the son'a ships were designed from scratch or based on the original species' fleet. Too bad no writers seem interested in exploring that lore.
@@samrizzardi2213 that’s something I’d really like to know as well: like what if they used replicators etc.
Ambassador class. Big, but not galaxy big. Old but not Excelsior old.
What I would love to see is Star Trek set in our Time during the eugenics wars on how it started and the capture of khan and being sent into space well before Captain Kirk found him in cryo
give me the underrated Ambassador class!
I would be in command of the Excelsior class USS Hood
Same here. The Uss Hood or the Uss Lakota.
@@NightwishRaven999 I would choose the Hood to British Naval History and the HMS Hood which was the pride of the navy before being sunk by the Bismarck
If I had a choice, it'd probably be one of the other Defiant-classes out there; though otherwise, probably an Akira-class (was in artillery back in the day, and have some idea how to put those torpedo tubes to good use)
We need a grand strategy game for the console's not running on the standard game model with more cinematics incorporated centering around the Dominion war! There are a lot of armchair admiral's out there ready for that challenge!
I'd love to fly a Defiant Class, but knowing my luck, I'll be in a Oberth class for a 5 hour mission...
If you look closely you can see the registry of the galaxy class ships in the fleet of call to arms have NCC 1701-D on all of them
The designation of "battle cruiser", as used here, was the name described in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Technical Manual and Star Trek Encyclopedia.
From the vessels we see on screen in the battles during the Dominion War - I woulld have to choose a Dominion War refit Galaxy class ship.
Miranda's were the cannon fodder of the war for sure
The mission that about the past dominion returning is still in STO, you just have to look for it. Its called "Lost Dominion"
Thanks! It’s been ages since I’ve played the campaign for STO :)
Enterprise-E the ship for surviving and winning the Dominion war, with Captain Jellico and first officer Data, but for my ship, I would command a Nebula class with a mighty weapons pod and protected with the famous hero ships plot armour
I'd pick a Sovereign class ship. They never seem to be used in battles. 😉
Failing that, I'll take an Akira class, please.
Cheers jack
I prefer the Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier
I'd command an Akira Class, 100%.
Battlecruiser for the 2nd question.
STO is still going, retaking DS9 will have you sick of the phrase "Kurland here"
Definitely voyager for me made it to a museum so I'm safe lol all about the self preservation p.s I can't make wolf 359 I'm washing my hair 😂
I love the fleet battles! But where are the shield impacts? Starships shouldn't be taken out in one-shot!
The Lost 2800 story line in STO still exists as of 2024.
Other factions are always going to have more ships than the federation. It's easier to build one class many times than many classes a few times. Economy of scale. But I always thought the dominion was was a good thing as it allows to retire older classes
I've noticed you haven't made a Discovery review since the first episode of this season, curious as to why?
Ive always been partial to the Nova class
We never get to see any of the allied ships directly take this on which is unfortunate.
Compared to the Galaxy class, despite the Feds being a bunch of peaceniks, the GCS has a much wider firing arc and burst fire torpedo launchers, which leads me to believe the GCS can unleash more firepower in an instant than the Dominion battle cruiser can.
Prometheus is the way
I was thinking 🤔 about that match up for sure lol 😎 👍
To answer ur question I would command a defiant class
Galaxy class (USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D)
Respectfully, a Galaxy Class starship has 12-14 phaser arrays and not 7. My personal choice would be a Defiant class starship to command.
Give me the steamrunner seems like a fun brawler type of ship.
I’d prefer to command a Sovereign class or the Akira class
Excelsior was tough as fuck. Seriously, when was the last time you saw Excelsior lose a fight?
A sabre class I'd like
Dominion Battleship would be my choice.
The easiest choice is the Rio Gannde.. and my opinion deserves a legacy title and a class all to herself..
I'd try too be on any ship with main characters aboard.
the flight wing Escorts from startrekonline
If beta canon ships aloud I would like to command an Achilles class. If not I would choose an Akira class.
Like my ship to have big guns hehehe
How do you not know that STO is still playable?
I played it today.
Hi, that's not what i said. I was referring to a specific mission :)
I'd have to take the warship, whoops, I mean science Intrepid class
Nebula class ftw
Akira, I want my akira!
Galaxy class ruler refit
🖖
Sovereign class
that mission is available on star trek online
However it is no longer in the main episode arc lists. You need to access it as a side mission/arc now.
Uss Lakota
Same!
🤔 Why were Dominion starships so successful against Federation starships early in the war? What was so special about them? 🤨
Ahh the CGI gaffe explains why the earlier versions looked like a variation of the cruiser and hence a different class the so called V-type cruiser with the stooped winged nacelles.
Come Tal Shiar and Jem'Hadar
From near and far
Har-har, har-har! -- 🖖🤨
I think I'll captain.... The USS Relativity.
I'd command a sovereign..I wouldn't be in the conflict
"she's a predator" oops 😅 wrong ship
Now that'd be a fun stand-off
She's overkill is what she is !
Actually I'm thinking of the Battleship !
I'd rather be an engineer on an Excelsior class.
the triple alliance would've crushed all remaining dominion forces if they hadn't surrendered and the founders would've died off and the jemhaddar would've all committed suicide cause they let there gods die the vorta would've crumbled.
Daedalus Class anyone? Oh sorry! Wrong franchise.
Well, not exactly. A Daedalus class did exist in trek. It has a sphere instead of a saucer.
I'd end up getting assigned to one of the million fighters sisko sent to the cardasians
