Thanks SVP for doing this exclusive. With previous video I thought it was a collaboration done with MSIL but this video gives a hint that MSIL had no role in this video.
Nah, just test drove the Swift 2 days back to get a feel of that new engine and it is disappointing compared to the K12. Engine noise creeping in from 2000 rpm itself and it is not a pleasant noise. Also, insulation is poor and overall fit and finish has gone down. Rejected the Dzire right there. The heart is a big downgrade now 😐 Amaze for sure has its work cut out but if they nail everything along with that smooth 1.2 ivtec, will definitely find takers for sure.
The new Dzire has best in segment efficiency, best in segment safety and built quality (5 Stars with Stable bodyshell integrity). Aura has best in segment interiors, refinement and VFM feature packaging. New Amaze will have best in segment performance (Vtec) and space judging from the older model and Honda's excellent space management. But Tata tigor is now completely worthless in any regard😂.
@Tata Tigor also very nice and good option. I don't know why you are degrading that model. Anyway since dzire got 5 star by its facelift model, now it's a Tata's turn about a facelift version of new Tigor with 5 star safety features. Let's wait and watch.
@@PrajeeshM It was decent not anymore. It is the oldest car in the segment except for amaze which is getting update next month. Tata is sleeping on it and thats why its sales are at an all time low
@@25StevyLovesDaddyTata Yes I will agree with you related to update required on Tata Tigor current model since it outdated while comparing with other models in the segment. Hopefully by next update, @TataMotorsCars may consider front facia of the current Tigor also need to update inline with normal sedan model look.
Why there is no rear impact test in GNCAP ? In India, rear collisions also take place, particularly in the highways and expressways. Please enlighten me. Thanks.
The only thing that concerns me is, it is still a car with kerb weight of 920/980 kgs, heavier cars of almost similar dimensions will have to be made of more dense materials, hence it will have more impact protection at higher speeds. I think a Mahindra/TATA 5 star rated car will crumble/deform less in actual crashes than the Dzire 5star if impact is done at higher speed than 64kmph (is the testing speed of the NCAP test)
The measure is stable or unstable footwell/shell which means dzire can withstand more speed (its 64kmhr not 60) but a tigor/tiago cant as it has unstable shell. Same way Punch/Altroz can but it will still score a 3 star if tested right now as 6 airbags and Esc arent standard yet
@@DriveShrive thank you for correcting me the testing speed. I understand about the measure of stable/unstable shell.. but what I am saying is different, I mean essentially high crash test ratings imply that it is a safer car during accidents and gives a degree of safety to passengers. But a low kerb weight again implies low weight of the frame/chassis/body etc, which means lighter materials used, hence the question arises, how high speed collision will the car be able to withstand before it crumbles and crushes the passengers. Whereas if the body of a car is heavier as in the case of some other cars, it is believed to be made of denser and heavier materials and most certainly provide more crumble resistance than lighter materials upon high speed impacts greater than the testing speed.
I think NCAPs across globe should also push for rear head restraint mandate. OEMs also miss out on adjustable headrest for rear passengers in base variant as well as on middle passenger in many cars even on top variant. If a car is being sold as 5 seater, why middle passenger doesn't get a headrest? Swift in India misses it while in European version they have it.
Maruti Suzuki was already doing great in all aspects except the important one that was safety but I love how they too felt need of safer cars and I thik somewhere Tata and Mahindra have pushed Maruti Suzuki to do so❤
I was told the impact gets transferred by the sides and the door frame.. The only structural weakness of the sunroof is when a giant rock falls into it while riding in the hills..... I personally prefer a metallic roof like they do in buses for ventilation....
Why only such exclusive coverage for maruti at gncap jabki kitni cars gyi wo itne personal coverage kyu nai hue any specific reason and please gncap team is not from outside world this is not a movie where in beginning it’s mentioned based on true story and people blindly trust every part of movie…just think again not to defame any manufacturer but think 🤔
It's hardly exclusive to Maruti. He has covered the tests of the Wagon R, Virtus/Slavia, Carens, Bolero Neo and Verna live at ADAC right here on AckoDrive. Long before that at carandbike, GNCAP has been inviting him to Safer Cars for India since the first ever results - Nano, Figo, Polo, Alto, i10. Then Swift in 2014, Marazzo in 2018, XUV700 in 2021 and heck, he even bothered organising a virtual QnA session with the GNCAP team in the middle of COVID after the S-Presso results. This is very clearly a collaboration with Global NCAP and not Suzuki.
Now a days every brand has a coverage. Nobody cares about other brands but Maruti's safety ratings are popular among the consumers because Maruti is a leader in sales from decades and they are the leaders now also. Maruti excels in every aspect but the safety. Now this thing is also achieved by Maruti that is why it has a higher coverage.
To come up with a proper 5 star rating car Maruti took 43 years. Other Indian company cars such as Mahindra & TATA came with 5 star rating car long time before.

Rear is usually more stronger than front. If they tested front so back consider as strong. This is my assumption, not sure.
Body shell strength is a big thing in any car
@@shivamgaur912that's a lame armchair assumption
None of the car will score 1 star if they do this test..
At what speed will this rear crash test happen is the Q

Sir, how about creta 2024 no news about it's crash test. Has it been tested
Hi, any update on creta 2024 crash test bncap or gncap results
If GNCAP tested only the lxi model, how do we know the effect of sunroof on structural stability ?
I was told the impact gets transferred by the sides and the door frame.. The only structural weakness of the sunroof is when a giant rock falls into it while riding in the hills..... I personally prefer a metallic roof like they do in buses for ventilation....
It shouldn't be a big deal as it's not one of those panoramic sunroofs.
From now on I really hope maruti will focus on build quality to the new upcoming cars
Something is wrong, same platform n build quality but 5 start rating, how ??
Platforms are updated year by year, build quality has nothing to do with safety.
Good needed video....
nice acko drive
Hope it gets same on Bharat NCAP 😂

People are having hard time to believe GNCAP ratings let alone BNCAP.
