Spoken like a typical delusional South African. South Africans are hella xenophobic, the word xenophobia is synonymous with South Africans, so much for Ubuntu.
I'm glad you mentioned noise. South Africans love noise, and they don't care about neighbors. They have guts to play loud music even if there's a funeral next door. Everything is about noise. That's why we fail to unite.
So we fail to unite because of a mere noise?🤣🤣🤣 But already we have more Tswanas in SA than in Botswana, so your point doesn't hold any waters. And some Tswanas from Botswana are fraudulently benefitting from SA's sassa, every month they'd come to SA to receive the money and then go back to Botswana, and you're here complaining about a small issue of noise that could easily be resolved?🤣🤣🤣 And how come where I live it's always quiet? Or maybe I'm living in the Republic of the Bopedi and not South Africa...🤣🤣🤣
I grew up in a village, things were not always this way. Death meant SILENCE, when the bell rang on friday to anounce a funeral haunting slow sound, you would even stop walking until it stopped. You cant enforce that in the cities n Migrant labourers brought this to villages, some of us are shocked by this behavior. Botswana is mainly a rural country, Gaborone is just a small town with less people, so its eazier to enforce African values.
Go and stay in Botswana. Also remember waitresses in SA are foreigners they are very respectful in their countries but once in SA people change. They are like taxi drivers when they come from rural areas they are very respectful but once they start driving taxis yooo they change. You are promoting Botswana in SA.
That’s not comparison ,I expected you to mention way of life, human social development,Service delivery etc of which I believe Botswana far beats SA on that but instead you talking of lack Macdonald’s etc
Not to mention lack of free speech, gross human rights violations that is known to the UN, dependence on SA for basics and everything, government sponsored attacks on and suppression of journalists. I still don't understand why people especially from SA expect to see sky scrappers and sophisticated infrastructure because of our currency, the truth is we are only 2.5m and what we have I think is enough for our population, Botswana invests much in Education and Health for everyone. And remember, we were a protectorate and not a colony so what you see is hard work from our great grandfathers, they sold their cattle to build Botswana from scratch.
I personally expected to see that because of lack of knowledge, I was not taught about protectorates in school, the only history that they told us about was the history of a minority group in South Africa to be honest, I don’t even know my own history, so the assumption when leaving SA and entering a bordering country on my part was to find SA similarities however when I didn’t I was surprised and it caused me to do my research a bit and start posting these videos, I don’t believe when any of us make these assumptions or statements in expectation that the aim is to offend anyone, Botswana is doing great for itself of course, the hard work of your Grandfathers has paid off, literally, differences are not bad or good, they are just differences. ❤❤❤ Thank you for watching and for leaving a comment. 🌺

Why do people assume stronger currency equals bigger economy? Ghana currency also stronger than the Rand but it doesn't mean nothing coz SA is way more developed
It’s an uninformed opinion honestly, my Economics teacher would be so angry at me if she knew that I made this assumption. Hallelujah! This is my annoyance truly, it’s like struggle mentally, so the service comes with a little spice of “you think you’re better than me, well let me remind you that you are not” attitude…. It’s unwarranted to be quite frank.
I don't think South Africans are rude. I did my first degree and post graduate studies full time in South Africa, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. Yea I stayed in great places but I occasionally went to townships over the weekends, that is 23 years back. Yeah this is true, I didn't mention certain things that borderline on extremely distasteful in South Africa or in Botswana however that's true I noticed far fewer homeless people in Botswana, I have been here only a month and I have only seen 2 homeless people, not even sure if they really are homeless as they seemed relatively tidy they didn't resemble the homeless people you would find in Cape Town for instance, I was surprised by the number of homeless people in Cape Town, however homelessness in South Africa is very apparent regardless of what city you are in and the GINI Coefficient in Botswana is FAR better than in South Africa too. There seems to be a more even distribution of wealth this side. However I do mention that I'm obviously not an expert. I'm just a girl with a camera and these are the few things that came to my mind. That's all, I agree with you though I just don't want to go into topics that may come across as very offensive, inappropriate, insensitive and harsh for no reason.

@@mdengentongaxhaminiI think many people dnt understand SACU. Every country makes money from customs thru trucks or goods that transit thru the country to other countries like Zambia, DRC, Tanzania. Instead coz of SACU rules, the customs money these countries make are deposited into one SACU account and shared later. Of course SA contributes more but the reality is that even if SACU dies, Botswana will still make money thru customs coz many trucks and goods pass thru their country. 70% of revenue from SACU is their money made from their borders. Only A portion of 20-30% is from SA contribution. Infact there is a debate currently going on in these countries questioning relevance of SACU coz it has rules that blocks foreign investments in other SACU member States.

I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, show this also to thy servant: whether after death, as soon as every one of us yields up his soul, we shall be kept in rest until those times come when thou wilt renew the creation, or whether we shall be tormented at once?" 76 He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented. 77 For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times. 78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways. 81 The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High. 82 The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live. 83 The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High. 84 The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days. 85 The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet. 86 The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments. 87 The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times. 88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders. 92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come; and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality. 97 The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on. 98 The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified. 99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations." 102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." 2 Esdras 2:31 ''''''''''''';;;;;;;;;;;;

I'm glad you mentioned noise. South Africans love noise, and they don't care about neighbors. They have guts to play loud music even if there's a funeral next door. Everything is about noise. That's why we fail to unite.
How can we unite if we can’t even hear each other past the noise that we create? 😂 you make a valid point.
So we fail to unite because of a mere noise?🤣🤣🤣 But already we have more Tswanas in SA than in Botswana, so your point doesn't hold any waters.
And some Tswanas from Botswana are fraudulently benefitting from SA's sassa, every month they'd come to SA to receive the money and then go back to Botswana, and you're here complaining about a small issue of noise that could easily be resolved?🤣🤣🤣
And how come where I live it's always quiet? Or maybe I'm living in the Republic of the Bopedi and not South Africa...🤣🤣🤣
Make noise is not respect or decency.
Not a funeral dont lie
Go and stay in Botswana. Also remember waitresses in SA are foreigners they are very respectful in their countries but once in SA people change. They are like taxi drivers when they come from rural areas they are very respectful but once they start driving taxis yooo they change.

I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, show this also to thy servant: whether after death, as soon as every one of us yields up his soul, we shall be kept in rest until those times come when thou wilt renew the creation, or whether we shall be tormented at once?" 76 He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented. 77 For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times.
78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways.
81 The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High. 82 The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live. 83 The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High. 84 The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days. 85 The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet. 86 The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments. 87 The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times.
88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders.
92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come; and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality. 97 The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on. 98 The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified.
99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations."
102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." 2 Esdras 2:31

Am a Motswana from Botswana..yeah the McDon issue.I woudn't be proud that we have many McDonns. Rather be proud our own. So the McDonn is a mostly decision not a lack. Let it be many at the US not African soil.
There's no McDonald. For me, that's a reason to move there. Best country in the world

There's this guy about one months ago in Dobsonville mall telling in Botswana if you drive and hit a chicken and a dog the jail term is three months. Sheep is six months, goat is twelve months. A cow! Iyoo! O tsamaile. Full twelve months. Is it true? Please do research before you come back. Pula!!! Pula!!!
My video is about the differences that I have noticed. I said in the video that “I’m not an expert” just a tourist travelling. I don’t know about jail time, I thankfully have not had any problems with the police but I will look that up. Thanks.
Naah its not true. Rather than owner of the livestock is liable to pay or be charged because the rule is to keep your livestock of the road. The police do have a stupid standard charge though called reckless diving charge, they just enforce it sporadically

Yeah, this is true it isn’t every mall that charges for parking in SA. Mostly malls charge you though. Shopping complexes don’t charge.
I was just highlighting that in Botswana every single mall that I have been to so far doesn’t ask for payment for parking.
Seems like Botswana is the way to go. I hope I could visit that country one day.

If there are animals roaming where they shouldnt there will be flies coming from their urine and poo/dung.
@@rorirory121 I get you but our farm animals are found only in farms, there are stray animals which upon noticed impounded by the Town/City councils, all our major roads are fenced to hinder farm animals from accessing major roads, keeping a farm animal in a village or town is strictly prohibited,in some places even the keeping of free range chickens is prohibited,we are an organized Country, house fly exists everywhere.

South Africa nd Botswana we are different am been there they call ppl with their names not buti or sesi i been there maybe I don't understand but through my understanding i think south Africa especially limpopo province nd KZN nd EC province we have the lot of respect compare to Botswana the whole
I have a different opinion but I don’t disagree with you as I have not spent a lot of time in KZN, EC and Limpopo so I am not fully aware of the treatment. I was speaking from my experiences in Gauteng & Western Cape versus Botswana (Gaborone) but in Gaborone no one called me by my name I was addressed as Mma the whole time. So I’m surprised that we have a different experience however I accept your opinion as well.
Botswana does not have a city.Their so called 'towns' does not meet a standard of been called a town.I previously visited Palapye,Selebi Phikwe and Bobonong.Oh! my God,Mathata. You can't even compare their so called capital city(Gaborone) with Polokwane.

This is true. I wish the flies weren’t there though, they make the whole experience annoying tbh and yes it’s much much much hotter in my opinion
@@lecee Thank you for the heads-up. Basically the reason for the heat here is because geographically Botswana sits in a basin between SA and Zim.
