Tried to buy a new 2024 Mustang S650 from the BIG dealership - $2,500 addendum, dealer preparation fee, “mandatory” window tint, nitrogen, paint protection, etc, etc. I walked. Small dealership - “we can order the car just the way you want it, no extras.” 🤠
The turbine car startup is cool sounding. If they have a turbine car setting you can use all the time that would be okay. You can also turn it off. Other acceptable soundtracks would be George Jetson's car, Batmobile and TIE Fighter. Especially if the Batmobile had Burt Ward saying "Atomic batteries to power, turbines to speed!"
I wouldn't say that I hate it, but I certainly don't like it much. It looks like it was designed with less thought to highway aero, since it is an EV, and might suffer a lot with fuel economy with an ICE.

I’ve never spent over $30k on a car but getting a low mileage very well equipped used electric car that I could never afford new. I have a 30 mile round trip commute and I could probably drive it all week and only have to charge it once maybe twice a week. I think we are about to see a U-turn with some manufacturers, who had set unrealistic dates to completely switch to electric, developing new ICE vehicles and hybrids. The majority of people just are not ready for a complete switch to electric vehicles and even more importantly the technology and infrastructure is not close to being ready. There is room for a limited number of electric cars but every manufacturer switching to electric will kill new car sales in a massive way and leave consumers with no reasonable option apart from buying used ICE vehicles.
We had two dealerships in my area that were notorious for dealer markups and tacking on expensive useless add ons to their vehicles. I guess people around here are smart with their money and shopped elsewhere because both of them are out of business. Don't pay markups, refuse dealer add ons and see how long they last.

The msrp needs to go down too 40k-50k, its just too expensive for a dodge. I honestly feel like they should've marketed this as a Chrysler and marketed it as the return of the old school big luxury coupe
The EV tax credit is not gone, but the Charger EV does not qualify due to the high price…passenger sedans are capped at an MSRP of $55K. Trucks and SUVs are capped at an MSRP of $80K.

Just about a year ago a GMC dealer in the South Bay tried to add on a $2,750 "Ceramic Coating" on a heavily discounted GMC Sierra. They lost my business in ten seconds. I flew to Minneapolis, Minnesota to get the Double Cab Elevation I wanted. I worked at THIS dealership for thirty years starting with Oldsmobile in 1990, then Mazda, then CDJR. My wife and I leased three Challengers from 2016 to 2021.They were fantastic cars. The sales manager is one of the most honest guys in the business. They used to have 350 trucks in stock, seems less now. Perhaps because of no Hemi V8s. (I also leased three Ram 1500s from 2016 to 2020). Still, one of the few family-owned stores out there.

The look is their, the body is almost there. If the trunk was longer like the 69/70 charger it'll be a modern replica. Rims , windows tinted & you're set. Interior is there, just to cramped & materials are cheap. Overcome that with a V8

Bought my 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T w/6 speed manual and 5.7 hemi from this very dealership(Cerritos Dodge) in Sep. 2012, they got ground down by me in a 7 hour marathon negotiation session and I got what I wanted: trade in my '06 Charger w/under 100K miles and sell me the new car with all the extras such as premium sound system for that year, and lose any add-ons since 2013 cars were on their way. I got that bitchen black Challenger R/T for $31K OTD, this included mfg. certificate of origin as I was an AZ resident by that time. Laughed all the way home, drove it for 132K miles and 12 years! Sorry to see these guys went downhill price wise, they did treat me decently 12+ years ago, but that was then and this is now. Be advised that this dealer has 2 lots full of cars a few blocks away........at least they did 12 years ago.

I think the I-6 Hurricane versions will sell pretty decent, hopefully the prices will be a little more reasonable. The volume seller will probably be the 4 door Hurricane.

I will 100% never ever buy a vehicle from any dealership that has a sucker sticker on it. Give me one sticker, with MSRP and what's on the vehicle and that's it. If you want to put another sticker on it, it had better be a discounted sticker off the MSRP.
Thanks for sharing. The dash layout is much better than any of the teslas, but no thanks. Good luck to you to gamble with your money even with the hurricane. All new design and all new engine........= many trips to the dealership.
The only thing that spoils the Charger is the EV part.

My local Jeep dealer has about a half dozen of those blue hook hybrid Jeeps on sale from last year.
Compared to a tesla it looks amazing but anything other then that its really ugly imo. I absolutely hate the front lightbar every single car has now.

There's no need to battle with stealerships....JUST DON'T BUY THEM. They need consumers, NOT the other way around.

The interior on the Chargers are nice, but the exterior looks like it was designed by the company's accountant.
