I have been to New York several times. Public transport in U S is not one of Americas strong points, hope you enjoyed your stay.
So true! And it's still not... They don't do public transport very well. Hopefully that will change

Oppfordring: Hvorfor ser en spell ny hybrid/el-buss i USA ut som den er fra 90-tallet?
Det kan du lure på! Hahahaha! Det vet ikke vi heller. De ønsker vel ikke å fornye seg der borte.
@@bussmagasinet1 All I know is stuff like US crash regulations, the Buy America act, and an unwillingless from both American operators as well as manufacturers to adopt newer practises means there isn't much innovation on the US bus market. And that's not even mentioning how there are only a few manufacturers of urban buses in North America. Like its always either NewFlyer, NovaBus, or Gillig with very few exceptions. Plus the fact that operators only care about economics like how costly is it gonna be to replace a windshield in case of vandalism, or how much more expensive are stop buttons than a literal rope like what was used on trams in the early 1900's.
It really doesn't help that the whole US perception is that buses are pretty much only for the lowest of the lows, all the way down at the bottom or straight up homeless. It is the nation of car culture after all.
