This is not a utilitarian vehicle, as a matter of fact none of these specialty vehicles are meant to be "trucks" they are meant to be fun overlanding vehicles so a rack or a camper would make more sense.
I have an AEV XL RAM 3500 mega cab with Ram boxes. Installed larger fuel tank, diamond back cover, rear winch ( built this off AEV rear bumper) front and rear lockers. Ultimate search and rescue machine. Plenty of lights to go along with this machine. And AEV PAINT JOB OF BLACK on the hood, roof, tailgate, and lower vehicle on delmonico Red Me personally, lockers should be a perquisite for this machine along with the price point. THE Ram trucks go straight from the factory to AEV in Michigan where the Ram is transformed
How you liking it a few months later? Looking at the same one as u 2022 ram 3500 mega cab aev xl for 94k msrp was 138k..... Want some real world feedback though..
Mine is a 2024 model year. Have had it now for 9 months No issues at all. I think the 2025 model year with the ZF transmission will definitely add a nice touch of smoothness with the shifting.
don't matter what it has, or doesn't come with or even how much it costs lol ... this bugger is sweet and if i had the extra $$$ I would buy it just because of the size lol ... Ty for sharing
to answer more specifically, you can tow with it depending on the rig and payload weight. Example if you tow a bumper pull lightweight rv, should be fine. But when you have a 35 ft fifth wheel, 4 adults, pet, gear, water in tanks and a full diesel tank, and driving in the hill country, then you get the point. 😜but beautiful truck!!
while thats a nice truck, the pricing on that thing if FKD! How do they go from $83k MSRP to $90k "stock vehicle price"? That makes zero sense. $7K price difference with NOTHING added. Nice way to hide dealer markup.....all those "optional" features are listed on the OEM sticker already for $83k. seriously, these dealers can eat a dK....If you have this much money and dont see that kind of dealer bs happening, you deserve to get fkd.
RIP that 68RFE with 40” tires. AEV should at least put 4:10 differential. Almost $2k for that ridiculous spare tire eye sore set-up?! Just goes to show you how overpriced that AEV stuff is.
Why pay for wheels and tires, and the bumpers for 3yrs-8yrs. Depending on your loan. Get them after you buy a high level Big Horn or Laramie. Much cheaper then
very nice truck, too expensive, can't tow with it much. I'd like to see the previous owners comment about his Ram 3500 AEV XL Ram 3500. Sounds like a great truck!
Fun review! I agree with the spare tire location not doing much. No tonneau, takes up bed space. Definitely needs a bedliner.

What is AEV doing that makes the payload capacity so terrible?
No front locker??

I want that bumper
Put those salesmens in the cab and you have ZERO payload left to carry the beer.
Lol😂
I ain’t never been this early

You’re right.
Agreed, over priced but it’s BADASS!!!😂
126k for a truck that will wreck the 68RFE with those 40s. Waste of money.
Wish RAM kept the G56
Sorry best I can do is a pos 68rfe or the shift flair Aisin 🤣
no anti spin rear end?
its called lockers bro
@@user-rk2ww2cm4v wrong
Is that a gas burner for that much
I don’t think so, on the back tailgate it has a Cummins symbol
How much can you two with this setup?
Frank needs to sell that Denali Ultimate and pick himself up an AEV.
But a ram has a cummins straight 6 much better and straight axle front end. No one wants a high ton front end under a diesel
Can you get it with a 5th wheel?
You won't have enough payload to haul a fifth wheel.
@@BigBadJohnDieselyea 1500lbs is useless. Less than many 1/2 tons 🤣
The fact that doesn't have a bed liner is a travesty.
Bros about to buy this...☠

Why can’t u tow with it?
Hard pass on any Mopar 😂
No a chance. Give me the GM or Ford anyday and twice on Sundays
RAM is so much better than the shit from ford and chev and GMC
68rfe and cp4? You're a kinky little one aren't you? 🤣🐱
15 year old body and cab yawn!
