Hello sir! A small doubt... As you said we can use a cutting seton to convert a high lvl fistula to a low lvl fistula.... But wont the puborectalis sling also be cut or i can say that the puborectalis muscle would still be in the loop of the seton that we've applied right? So won't it injure the sling and cause incontinence?
Hi sir. Lovely work. But being and ano rectal surgeon my self I would have loved if you had mentioned/ appreciate your so called seatum /ksharsutra method as an 5000 yrs old surgery method belong from Ayurveda. But as everyone does so did you sir. Still job done well. Thank you.

In Ayurveda, sushruta samhita we have the Reference of Ksharasutra, in which thread made up of Alkaline drugs, burns through enclosed tissue.. Use of seton is based on the principles of Ksharasutra sir

Same doubt. Did you get it cleared?
Is it typical to perform an incision from the external fistula opening to the anoderm during a draining/loose seton?
