Dude, nothing yet. The band is musically huge. For many it is the best band of the 21st century and for many others it is the best hard rock band of all time. Well, I'm between the two concepts but you have to explore them because this band is beyond logic and live... man, live they are overwhelming like a thermonuclear attack. There are no valid adjectives. They sometimes do concerts lasting more than three and a half hours and leave the audience trembling and shocked to the core. If you can, try to find a song that isn't great, amazing or just plain awesome. And they do everything from A to Z themselves, Congratulations, your life is going to change.
100% correct. I've seen them 4 times in LA 2018, 2019, 2022 and OC in 2023. No two concerts were the same. They remind me of the Rock I grew up with in the 60's & 70's
Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog mayhem to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 12th year with the original line up. And they are the best live band I have ever witnessed! Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po!
Welcome to Band Maid! The best rock band on the planet (imo of course) These ladies have been kicking butt for more than a decade and have a prolific discography to match. They create music at an unbelievable pace, and it’s all great. They don’t write filler, it’s not something I’ve encountered with another band with this many songs released. If you want more hard rock, check out Shambles, Zen, Warning, Hate?… enjoy the ride, they’ll constantly impress you.

I'm surprised whenever I see a reaction to this song, and the backing vocals from the rhythm guitarist aren't mentioned. That's Miku Kobato. She founded the band, and is the main lyricist.
@@jmarv2006 In every album typically there is a song she sings herself, and she is a fantastic singer... my recent favorite has been Sayonakidori, there is a Live Rock version and a Live Acoustic version of the song on their channel. Both are great, just different vibes.

They are: 'Brightest Star', 'サヨナキドリ - Nightingale' (there's also an acoustic version), 'Summer Drive', 'Big Dad', 'Beauty and The Beast', 'TIME' and 'Rock In Me'. She also has a side project called "Cluppo", and released a few singles and an EP titled 'hatofull' under that name.

It’s great to see another new reaction to Band-Maid. Roger’s done it again! As you’ve seen, they are phenomenal. I don’t seem to be able to manage a day without listening to them. There are a multitude of videos you can react to. In general, the official live videos are the best, for instance Hate, Domination , Moratorium. To put things in perspective on how big of a deal Band-Maid is Kanami Tōno the lead guitarist and main composer, in 2024 she was one of the few that have been honored with a Signature PRS guitar presented by Paul Reed Smith himself. She stands with Carlos Santana as one of the few that received a PRS Signature guitar, and Santana is one of her primary influences when learning to play and compose for guitar, so this was a big deal for her. Not to mention Miku Kobato, the Rhythm Guitarist/ Backup Vocal and Founder of the band has a Signature Zemaitis Guitar as well as MISA the "Lead" bassist with Black Cloud. And I feel that Akane on Drums and MISA on Bass make one of the best rhythm duo in modern rock music, while this song doesn't really shine on MISA bass playing there are a ton that do, like DICE, or Hate? (Live). Saiki singing is out of the world and has just been getting better over the years.

New Subby from Aust. A very short description of what you have stumbled upon ... These guys played their 10 year anniversary show Nov '23 (33 songs an 3 n a half hours long) then 3 months later held a "Spin Off" show with another 23 with many that weren't played at Yokohama and still didn't put a dint in the amount of amazing songs they have produced. These guys do it all. I have grown up on Hard Rock an listenin to the same ol same ol got a bit boring after many years until I stumbled onto them approx 5 years ago, and they have surpassed everything that I have ever wanted to hear from any other band world wide. Wasn't keen on the get up I seen in the thumbnails back then, but now, it seems odd to see them in normal clothes. Language and Outfits aside, continue on, kick back and listen to some of the best music you would've heard for a long, long time ... oh, an as you seen, they shine live ... all of them - no ego's here. Try "Hate" official live ... everyone will tell you it will be one of the best performances you would ever see. After that ... anything - you can't go wrong. Stick with em an watch your subbies go through the roof - we're a pretty loyal bunch haha.
This song is from 2016, and technically nowhere near complex compared to their recent releases (you'll hear it in the drums especially). You'll understand what "they do it all" really means when you listen to at least 10 more songs by them.

Dude, nothing yet. The band is musically huge. For many it is the best band of the 21st century and for many others it is the best hard rock band of all time. Well, I'm between the two concepts but you have to explore them because this band is beyond logic and live... man, live they are overwhelming like a thermonuclear attack. There are no valid adjectives. They sometimes do concerts lasting more than three and a half hours and leave the audience trembling and shocked to the core. If you can, try to find a song that isn't great, amazing or just plain awesome. And they do everything from A to Z themselves, Congratulations, your life is going to change.

Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog mayhem to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 12th year with the original line up. And they are the best live band I have ever witnessed!
Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po!

@@jmarv2006 In every album typically there is a song she sings herself, and she is a fantastic singer... my recent favorite has been Sayonakidori, there is a Live Rock version and a Live Acoustic version of the song on their channel. Both are great, just different vibes.

Miku is the lead/solo singer on a few BAND-MAID songs.
They are: 'Brightest Star', 'サヨナキドリ - Nightingale' (there's also an acoustic version), 'Summer Drive', 'Big Dad', 'Beauty and The Beast', 'TIME' and 'Rock In Me'.
She also has a side project called "Cluppo", and released a few singles and an EP titled 'hatofull' under that name.

It’s great to see another new reaction to Band-Maid. Roger’s done it again! As you’ve seen, they are phenomenal. I don’t seem to be able to manage a day without listening to them. There are a multitude of videos you can react to. In general, the official live videos are the best, for instance Hate, Domination , Moratorium. To put things in perspective on how big of a deal Band-Maid is Kanami Tōno the lead guitarist and main composer, in 2024 she was one of the few that have been honored with a Signature PRS guitar presented by Paul Reed Smith himself. She stands with Carlos Santana as one of the few that received a PRS Signature guitar, and Santana is one of her primary influences when learning to play and compose for guitar, so this was a big deal for her. Not to mention Miku Kobato, the Rhythm Guitarist/ Backup Vocal and Founder of the band has a Signature Zemaitis Guitar as well as MISA the "Lead" bassist with Black Cloud. And I feel that Akane on Drums and MISA on Bass make one of the best rhythm duo in modern rock music, while this song doesn't really shine on MISA bass playing there are a ton that do, like DICE, or Hate? (Live). Saiki singing is out of the world and has just been getting better over the years.

A very short description of what you have stumbled upon ...
These guys played their 10 year anniversary show Nov '23 (33 songs an 3 n a half hours long) then 3 months later held a "Spin Off" show with another 23 with many that weren't played at Yokohama and still didn't put a dint in the amount of amazing songs they have produced.
These guys do it all.
I have grown up on Hard Rock an listenin to the same ol same ol got a bit boring after many years until I stumbled onto them approx 5 years ago, and they have surpassed everything that I have ever wanted to hear from any other band world wide.
Wasn't keen on the get up I seen in the thumbnails back then, but now, it seems odd to see them in normal clothes.
Language and Outfits aside, continue on, kick back and listen to some of the best music you would've heard for a long, long time ... oh, an as you seen, they shine live ... all of them - no ego's here.
Try "Hate" official live ... everyone will tell you it will be one of the best performances you would ever see. After that ... anything - you can't go wrong.
Stick with em an watch your subbies go through the roof - we're a pretty loyal bunch haha.

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 34 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 32 years old. It also represents Woman Power (Equality), which is an important theme with the Maids.
Now they show up as Maids for all band business and interviews, etc. and have created a long-lasting, unmistakable, visual band brand. Very cleaver, Miku. Your diabolical plan for world domination is working, Po! Of course, none of this would work if their music and stage performance wasn't at such a remarkably high level.
