I lived in sexual sin for years and I finally made an intentional choice to stop each sexual sin, one at a time. From masturbation (which started in childhood), to pornography (which also started in childhood), being promiscuous, to sleeping with my boyfriend and getting pregnant and continuing to live in sexual sin with him for 4 years (now my husband). I laid each one down and didn't turn back. All it took was a word from God in each area, a conviction, a removal of the scales from my eyes. I was listening to Intentional Living when I made the Intentional decision to marry my boyfriend, instead of just living with him and sleeping with him. I thought it was fine since we were committed and loved our daughter. I'm still amazed I lived in that sin for so long. I was scared to marry him just because we had a child, yet I was scared to lose him. At the time I made the choice to marry him I had just found out that he was struggling with pornography, but we went to church and turned our lives back on God. We were baptised together and married the next day. It has been a long hard road so far, and some days I wonder if I made the right choice to marry, but God is a God of redemption and I know He's redeeming our marriage. We are in counseling and my husband is making steps towards being porn free. He finally confessed to someone other than me. It's been years of him trying to conquer it on his own, but that's impossible. Please pray for us, thank you.
Sanctification is true and just. Persevere fellow sister in Christ and May the sovereign God give you and your husband the freedom He has promise through Christ!
I wish my cousin never introduced pornography to me when we were at the age of 12.. This is the 6th time in whole life that I fell into the trap of watching porn.. I guess I am being attacked by the darkness because I keep praying the Holy Rosary every day.. And Satan hates this prayer because it has defeated him many times..i feel so unworthy now before God. Thanks goodness, I never had any sexual intercourse. This sin of the flesh truly is the one that brings many many souls to hell! I never thought I'd be attacked by this sin; I felt discouraged to pray but I realised that this is exactly what Satan wants me to do. I may have fallen into this shameful sin, but I will not stop begging for the Mercy and Grace of God to shield me from the snares of Satan!
@@warriorqueen863 Hello, Sister. I have struggled with my own sin and temptations and am still struggling. But when I was, I fasted for ten days and sought the Lord. I asked Him to chasten me if He loved me and if I was still His daughter. 3 days in, He did. It was harsh and it got be reading the bible. I learned of my Father and His character and loved Him. I realized that what was missing in my life before was love. I did not love God and therefore I could not obey Him. Now every SINGLE morning I pray that God would fill me with His love. Love for Him with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. And love for my fellow neighbors. We are told that LOVE is the fulfillment of the law! As I was fasting, I read 1 Corinthians 5 and Romans 6. Romans 6 is such a beautiful beautiful chapter. It explains the symbolism of baptism and the freeing from sin. Please get on your knees and ask God to convict you and speak to your heart through the Holy Spirit and read these chapters. They are very encouraging and mind opening!😊. I also read James 4:7-8 and 1 Corinthians 10:13. I will paste them on here. But i claim these promises EVERY DAY! They are so powerful and I never get tired of saying them. THE DEVIL WILL FLEE FROM ME! In the mighty name of Jesus Christ!! We can trample of serpents!! And if we draw nigh to God, He promises to draw nigh unto us. If we seek Him with all of our hearts, we WILL find Him! Claim these promises as your own! Do not let sin reign in you! Be a child of God! "Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God." 1 John 3:9 NLT But if we fall we have a High Priest which is Christ Jesus! Repent and confess your sins and He will forgive you! "Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him." Philippians 2:12-13 NLT God will never tell us to do anything that He will not give us the strength to do. I used to ask God to help me obey, but I did not have faith that He could do it. So please never doubt in God. Doubt in your ability, but trust that God is more than able to seal you and sanctiy until His return. "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils." 1 Corinthians 10:13, 21 KJV Sin is a type of idolatry. We serve sin as our master. We need to flee sin. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." James 4:7-8, 10 KJV I will pray for your victory in Christ! I believe that God loves you and will deliver you from this temptation if you trust in Him. Go to Him as the prodigal son, broken in sin, and He will embrace you with love and forgiveness. He will deliver you and free you from this sin! He will help you to live/walk in the spirit and bear fruits of the spirit. He will help you to do His good pleasure! And to do that which is right in His sight. He will walk with you and SANCTIFY you and you will be His friend (the God of creation and of all the earth will be your best friend!) It will be hard, but the fruits and rewards are worth it. I am full of joy now that God has set me free from the chains of sin. Everyday God continues to help me walk in the spirit and do His good pleasure.
Sunny Sandhu, Are you not under "Grace"? When you confess your sin to God, you can be sure that He is Faithful and Just to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unighteousness. 1st John 1:9. Haven't you seen by now that you cannot stop sinning by yourself? When you realize this, you can go boldly before the throne of God; with gratitude and thanksgiving and ask Him to create in you a new heart, a new mind with new thoughts, and to renew a right spirit within you? You don't have to keep asking God to "please forgive me, please forgive me." He DID that at the cross already! If you are saved (born again), you are immediately "sealed" with the Holy Spirit of Promise" until the day of your Redemption. Ephesians 1:12-14 Please read it! You can know that the Lord God Almighty, your Father who is in heaven, hears your prayer because the Holy Spirit of God is "Sealed" within you; He lives inside of you. Did not Christ promise, "I will never leave you nor forsake you"? He also promised, " all that the father gives me she'll come to me and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out (never lose you)." "And this is the Father's "will" which hath sent me, that all of which he hath given Me I should lose nothing but should raise it up again at the last day." (members of the body of Christ; The Believeing only, Church.) Please read now; John 6:37,39 40, 47; John 6:28-29, John 3:16; Romans 10:9; Acts 16:3. The Lord God Almighty knows that even though His Holy Spirit lives inside of you, the old man has never been removed and he won't be until the day of your Redemption. What you really need to do is to ask God to create in you a new heart, and a new mind filled with new thoughts. This will enable you to STARVE the "old" man (the sinful nature you were born with) which allows you to FEED the "New" man (the Holy Spirit of God) so that He (The Holy Spirit) will FLOURISH within you. The old man has been with you for years and years! He resents the imposition of the Holy Spirit. To whoppin' big bad! The more you starve the "old nature, the more the "New" nature (the Holy Spirit) will flourish within you.♡ "Look up! for your Redemption is very near; even at the door." Until then Christ says, "Occupy, 'till I come". Stay in the Epistles written by Paul, who was appointed by Christ to be the apostle to the Church and to who Christ gave the Gospel of our Salvation to share with all man. This is the Gospel of our Salvation, the one in which we are to BELIEVE only, and the one in which SAVES us. Read it carefully and don't ADD anything to it! 1st Corinthians 15:1-5. God loves you so much, that He would rather die than to have to live without you!♡ The only "work" that God will accept from anyone in order that they may be Saved is "...to BELIEVE on the One whom he hath sent." John 6:28-29, 40, 47. Read these scriptures today. Stay away from the false teachers ie: John Piper, Greg Laurie, John MacArthur, Paul Washer, pastor Chen, Keith Cameron and many more. These people are called, "Lordship Salvationists who, in reality, are five point Calvinists! All of these preachers and teachers either back-load or front-load the Gospel of our Salvation (1st Corinthians 15: 1-5) with "works". No matter how you slice it, they still stand in Unbelief. Please, research for yourself "The doctrine of Lordship Salvation". Google it today. I hope and pray you'll realize that these men teach "another gospel" (Galatians 1:6-9), which cannot possibly Save anyone, including themselves. Please read and learn the verses recommended in this post and stay in the "Word" of God!♡
Flying Dog, My Dear yet struggling friend, One of the biggest mistakes that we as Christians make is not "rightly dividing the word of Truth", 2nd Timothy 2:15. The four Gospels ie, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John (explanation required), and also James, 1st, 2nd and 3rd John, 1st and 2nd Peter the Book of Jude and the Book of Revelation were NOT written to nor directed at the Gentile Church, which is the body of Christ composed of both Jew and Gentile. These books are written to and for Israel and her people. Initially, Jesus did NOT come save to the gentile. He said, "I am not sent but unto the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel." Matthew 15:24. The "mystery" of the Church was revealed to Paul the Apostle to the Gentiles (you and me), by Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after His death on the Cross. So we the Church, the body of Christ are comprised of both Jew and Gentile called by God, "a peculiar people". The books that ARE directly written to and for us, the body of Christ are Romans thru Philemon. the writer of Hebrews is uncertain but believed to be the Holy Spirit. We must also understand that the book of Acts is a "transitional" book where Paul's gospel, which the Lord Jesus Christ gave him to preach only after He had died, was slowly coming into focus. The others, the other Apostles an their followers, agreed with "the words of the prophets as it was written." Acts 15:15 You can see this transition when you read Acts 15 for yourself.♡ This transition was confirmed for us in Acts 16: 30-31.♡♡♡
If u keep doing it then have u truly repented..? Genuine biblical repentance is changing ur mind about sin (which results in turning away from sin) & fixing ur gaze on / reliance & trust in Christ alone..
This is my biggest struggle!!! Ugh, I battle with the flesh. Daily! Please help please pray for me. I am a single female in my 30s and the urges are so bad. ♥️😔 I pray all the time. God please help me and make me pure.
You have to be WILLING to stop! Praying is always necessary but if you not corresponding with what you’re praying for you prayers will be in vein , I’m on the path of righteousness and I use to just give in and still pray at night before bed but my friend let me tell you, I had to stop doing some things and that’s just what it is! I had to get in Gods WORD and confess the scriptures over my life DAILY and not just a ONE TIME thing, scriptures that’s based on whatever you’re trying to believe God for like My Body is the temple of the Holy Ghost! Another is Sin has NO DOMINION over me! It’s the easy thing in the world to do as far as look them up on your PHONE 👈 you will have to have an open and honest heart when it comes to pleasing God because some people say they believe in the Lord they don’t wanna stop looking at certain things in tv, Instagram, or Facebook... not saying these things are bad but you have to realize what you’re LOOKING at and it’s different from person to person. I had to delete my Instagram, I deactivated my FB but I go on it every now and then then I’ll deactivate it because I know It’s not good for my eyes and ears because LUST is everywhere and places you may or people you may be close so call friends with will hinder your growth also... if you meditate and confess Gods word over your LIFE DAILY you will See changes as time goes by but the change starts on the INSIDE first and you will have a choice to roll will the Holy Spirit or keep giving in into that temptation, the choice is yours because God already has delivered us according to Col1:13 I believe but it’s around that verse but u don’t have to remember the numbers all the time, as long as you know the WORD of God because that’s the ONLY way you will defeat satan / sin and temptation but the scripture say that God HAS DELIVERED us from the POWER of Darkness, I speak the scriptures over my life daily! To be honest if a person say they want to walk in victory and never submit themselves to God, it’ll NEVER work because James 4:7 say Submit yourself to God and RESIST the devil and he will FLEE!!! One of the major issues in a person life is they won’t RESIST! We overcome the devil by the Blood of the the Lamb and the WORD of our testimonies... keep the word of God and your Mouth and RESTIS the devil and he will free from you! Don’t speak anything that Jesus would not speak! Watch your words and never say you can’t or it’s not working or anything like that because Death and life is in the Power of the tongue and they that love it should eat the fruit of it!! Get it in the word and stay consistent with it!
I pray this helps (if it's still timely). Watch "Crucify the Flesh": ua-cam.com/play/PLQKBVZh0-tlKdbQIK0XeRx9dpcPT-EJzE.html May you find life and peace (Romans 8:6)!
Dylan Meyer No, a husband won't help. Jesus needs to take care of this before a husband comes into the picture. Now she has a great motivation to cling to Jesus for her deliverance. :-) Best wishes to all!
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness, Take it to the Lord in prayer.
sexual sin is devastating. I fell into this for a very long time and it took a terrible event for me to stop. Havent fooled around with unmarried relationships since. Its just not worth it.
I fell into impurity with my girlfriend, we didn’t have sex, but we did make out. The aftermath was so painful, we wanted so badly to stay pure until marriage and so when we fell into sin it was so painful! How “good” it felt in the moment, was nothing compared to the pain after the sin!
Its always best to wait for sex until marriage,I wish I had waited, but that was many years ago now, praise God for forgivness and grace and his loving kindness.
You are making a baseless CLAIM. There is ZERO actual historical evidence for god or jesus. Surely you aren't stupid enough to think that since the STORIES and MYTHS written about them contain real places, that the characters had to exist, right? If so, you should also believe in Zeus and Medusa. They were mentioned in old stories too. If you HAD any evidence, you would have simply referenced it, so we could all be as sure as you pretend to be. I think you have never even considered the question. I will call your bluff anyway though. Where is your "Historical Evidence" for god and jesus? Please don't be infantile enough to reference the STORIES as evidence for the truth of the STORIES.
Nicholas Flamel Historical evidence for God can be found all throughout history and even the lives of men. For example, do some reading on the mighty man of prayer George Muller. I understand that you'll admit coincidences happen, but there is no way this man's entire life was experienced through coincidences. There are countless other men in history, who if you look at their lives, you cannot deny God worked in them. Testimonies of men can prove the existence of God, but I would be a fool to hold my belief in God based off of those testimonies. The ultimate proof I have of the existence of God is found in the Bible. And it's not even a story. I know there's a God because the Bible says there is and the Bible is not a book of stories, it has evidence that prove it. For example prophecy. Here is a prophecy prophesied in the Bible which was fulfilled by Alexander the Great www.padfield.com/1994/tyre.html I am aware that 4,000 prophecies have come to pass and none have been proven wrong. Concerning historical evidence for Christ, many people outside the Bible have written of Him. For example, Pliny the younger. I honestly and humbly admit that I cannot defend this as much as I would like to, but it's only because I haven't studied the historicity of Christ. I do own a book titled "Evidence for Christianity," by Josh McDowell and it's about the historical evidence for Christ. So there is my very weak and feeble defense. It's not going to change your mind I'm sure. Even if it was filled with much more evidence (there are many, search outside atheist arguements) I am sure I would not cause your change of mind because your problem is not intellectual, your problem is you love your sin and you hate God.
Testimonies are not evidence. They are CLAIMS. Attributing significance to coincidences is only an example of confirmation bias and gullibility. The bible is just another set of supernatural CLAIMS with no EVIDENCE to back them up. No one in the bible or outside the bible have provided ANY evidence for the bible's supernatural claims. Pliny The Younger (and I'm sure you will try Josephus next) are only people writing decades or even centuries after the supposed events and only relate the STORIES people were telling. No evidence. I will call your bluff on the "4000 prophecies" as well. You can't provide reference to ONE actual prophecy that is NOT retrodiction and is not vague that can be VERIFIED as having come true. You have presented ZERO evidence. You have pointed to more baseless CLAIMS and made a few yourself. Perhaps you need to look up the word EVIDENCE and learn how it is different from the word CLAIM. I'm sure you will lie to yourself and say I am dismissing your "evidence", but if you are honest with yourself for a moment, you will have to admit that you have no real evidence. You are just gullibly believing baseless claims. You believe for no good reason.
I know we are to watch ourselves that we do backslide into our old ways, the word says in Proverb 4:23- above all else, guard heart, for everything you do flows from it. Thank you so much for your messages!!!😇
Jennifer Turner Well you might want to leave him then if he’s causing you to sin. Jesus says to cut off your own hand if it that hand will lead you to hell, obviously this is not to be taken literal. But it is to be taken very serious, meaning don’t associate with what makes you sin... besides not a very good guy if he left now that there’s no...
i struggled with porn for a long time i was saved when i was 12 i have been struggling with it but past few weeks ive been staying strong praying so much just have to ask god to take control of your life and be in charge of all you do we cant handle sin on our own we are not that strong when were so deep in our sin we feel lost and hopeless trust me i know how that feels but turn to god and pray and keep yourself busy distract your mind i turned to lifting weights it helps alot
watching porn is not a sin. breaking the 10 commandments is a sin and christians break the first 4 as their religion is a pagan religion. they sure don't keep sabbath and are fine with that but watching porn omg
@@narcissistinjurygiver2932 How do you keep the Sabbath? Do you drive anywhere or do you talk on the phone or do you just lay on the couch like a rock?
pretty easy to keep Sabbath. I do it every week. Does not say we can't talk on the phone, wipe our ass, flush the toilet, drink, get laid, or just enjoy laying around the pool. I don't go to work. I don't do what I do to earn money. And yes, sometimes I just pour myself a nice tall scotch, screw my wife, and then lay around on the couch all day long. now go on and tell me how I should not keep Sabbath or the other 9 commandments as your pagan religion does not keep them. THE REASON YOU DO NOT KEEP THE 10 IS BECAUSE YOU DO NOT KNOW OR SERVE THE MONOTHEISTIC ELOHIM OF TORAH WHO ISSUED THE 10. YOUR SATANIC PAGAN GOD IS THE TRINITY OF THE WHORE OF BABYLON CATHOLIC CHURCH AND ITS ANTICHRIST SUBSTITUTE FOR THE SON OF GOD POPE.
Tony Charmz, Exactly Tony! When anyone Dies in "Unbelief" that Jesus Christ is their Savior who died, was buried and rose again for them, they are Guilty of the Unpardonable sin (dying in Unbelief).
Tony Charmz ....Verily I say unto you, All their sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and their blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: but whosoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin: because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.-Mark 3:28-30.
He's not tired of you. He loves you so much that he sent his only son, Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. He calls us his treasure and he will never stop loving us. All he wants is for you to be his child.
Roberto Avila, Please see my video titled _"Be Set Free From Sin."_ It will link you to a post with information that will help you overcome (Revelation 2:7). Peace to you!
Guys can you help me. I commited a big sin. I promised god that I wouldn’t masterbait especially on Sunday. I tried to motivate myself further by saying if I masterbait then the world would end and go up in smoke. I ended up failing and sinned. I feel depressed because of that scenario situation please pray for me.
There’s a fine line between being a true believer who disobeys and being a non believer. Because the Biblical reality is that all of us are being tempted and are prone to falling, because if we were immune to temptation we wouldn’t be tempted, there would be no point. The danger is to abuse God’s grace. We’ve all fallen at one point. We know it isn’t worth it; it’s just moments of pleasure that dishonor God. We must pray for one another every day and watch our own steps at every moment. We all struggle with different sins.
Yes we do.. but if you tell someone with love and show them in the WORD OF GOD which the claim to follow that what they are doing is wrong and they still continue and REFUSE to repent and refuse to obey God. Pray for them fervently, but do what Paul advised them to do in 1 Corinthians 5..
I will, Father in heaven, we humbly come before you and thank you for forgiving us of all our sins, I pray that as we all grow closer to you by soaking up your word, keeping you front and center in all that we do, bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ... as we begin to know that we are dead to sin, but alive unto God through faith in His death and resurrection, and that our old man is dead, that you would empower us by your amazing Grace to walk in the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus which sets us free from the law of sin and death. We ask that you would restore unto us the joy of our salvation, and that all sin would pale in comparison to your unspeakable joy. Then we know that the peace of God that passed all understanding would lead us into the rest that you have for us. AMEN!
Robert Bowes, Dear Robert, What a wonderful prayer and understanding. There's only one problem. Unfortunately "the old man" is NOT DEAD in that he has not, as yet, been removed from us until the day of our Redemption. There remains an ongoing battle between the "New" man (the Holy Spirit of God), and the "old" man (mans true nature). Your prayer is a victory the battle between him and the Holy Spirit of Christ! Rest assured that that he's been weaken; but he'll "Be Back" because he's still hungry. This prayer shows us how we can devour or starve the "old" man (nature) and Feed the "New" man, the Holy Spirit who is the Living God inside us. With that in mind, really really good job!♡
It is a shame that many churches today are to afraid to act upon this discipline. Hebrews tells us that God disciplines those he loves. If God disciplines from the standpoint of love and we dont do the same does it not display our love for Christians may be unperfected or superficial? Thanks be to God for men like John Piper who preach the Word; even the ugly difficult parts of it.
amen, what a gracious and loving way to restore a backsliding believer, I want to be part of that kind of church, that loves me enough to rescue me from my own hardness of heart...
I fell in love with a classmate about 15 months ago, while still being married to my wife of 11 years. We never were in a relationship, or had any physical interactions, but just by talking daily and spending time together on break I developed deep feelings for her that I still struggle with all these months later. I haven't seen her since December 2019, so I have done all I know to do to to avoid putting myself into further sin, but it's so hard to just tell my heart to stop longing for her, sometimes I think I'm going crazy.
As a married man, realize that if you have desired to have that other woman as yours and are still "longing" for her, that is adultery against your wife. It starts in the heart as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28. That teaching applies both to desiring a married woman and desiring a woman who is not your wife (being yourself a married man). So, at this point, you should have already asked God to forgive you for allowing yourself to go on that path and resolved to not entertain the "possibilities" with that woman. Never agree with or dwell on any unrighteous thoughts/memories that may come to mind. Call out to Jesus right away and tell Him you don't want to keep having any such thoughts. If you submit to God who tells you that the classmate you met was never a person you should have contemplated to be more than friends with, you won't keep on fueling this longing and it will go away. But you first need to be in 100% agreement with God about your life, where you are in your life, what's permissible and what's a forbidden path to take. You will have temptations in the world, certainly. But they are not offers to consider possibilities. As a man, it is possible to have a strong bond with a woman who is not your wife as you have experienced, so it is up to you to guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23). If you don't do that, then you find yourself in this situation you are in. And now you need to shut the door that was opened, because you did not open it to just that woman (that's the deceptiveness in all this). You've kept away from that classmate for over a year, but another woman can come into the picture and you will find yourself going down the same path, because your longing is alive and well and the "right" person can just come along and then you have a similar experience to the one you had with your classmate. Then what? You need to be vigilant and dedicated to love and honor your wife and protect your marriage and your family. But God has to be first. If He is first, things will be in order. You are on a slippery slope and you need to remove yourself from it right away. Turn to God and put before Him what you feel is not working in your life so that this woman could be such a tempting "offer." We all have a longing for God and the devil has his "offers" ready (in all shapes and forms). Don't be deceived. Endeavor to seek God and get to the place of being fulfilled in your relationship with God. Though you may have remained faithful to your wife in your actions, your heart isn't where it should be with that longing for another woman. Sin begins in the heart (Mark 7:21-23). Admitting it and disagreeing with it as being "OK" is the first step to get on board with God's plan for you. Please see the videos in my playlist called _"Be Set Free From Sin"_ for help getting the closest you can be to God. Peace to you!
@@yestothetruth I certainly appreciate your honesty and the scripture as well. I agree with everything you said and just want to add that many, many, many times I have repented about ever talking to her, sitting with her, but I also am honest with God in my life, and ask him that if I have turned to you so much concerning this, why do the feelings linger? I know that Job thought he had a case, and when he stood before the Almighty he had nothing. It was God asking him all the questions and he had zero answers, so I know that it isn't wise to test the Almighty either, but I do get frustrated about this situation sometimes and I have more than wanted to close this chapter and move on.
@@charlesdjones1 You're welcome and I am glad that you kindly received my message. Stay wise and persevere in prayer. See this as a trial and in due time you will see what it was for. May God be glorified. God's grace be with you!
It's just as same as committing the same sin of adultery in physical form. So you will need to confess to your spouse and to God in a prayerful manner and make a definite decision not to go back there again. It's tough but it is doable. I wish you the best! God bless you!
We are to keep a watch over our heat so we do not backside, the word says in Proverbs 4:23- above all else guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
I promise each and every one of you can be free from porn addiction and masturbation. Set your mind on doing good for others and it makes not being selfish so much easier. God loved you, & He has already provided a way for you to escape your sexual sin. God loves you and only wishes to protect and to provide.
Mandy Mongeon I'm so glad I found your comment. I really needed it at this moment. As I'm typing this, I'm in tears for what I've done. What lovely encouragement you're giving people. God bless your beautiful soul.
Please pray for me. I am trapped in sexual sin. I have committed fornication, looked at pornography. I have made a promise to myself to stay away from social media for a while until I gain self control. There is far too many lustful images on social media. So again I ask you pray for me.
I will pray. Also, don't struggle alone brother. You should check out the Samson Society and the Pure Desire podcast (Google it). And then get yourself into a group with other guys who can pray for you 🙏
Jesus told His disciples that the demon that wouldnt come out for them had to come out only by "fasting and prayer." Fast and pray. When I married my wife and that sin was now no longer a sin at all I began to mature in Christ like never before. Abstaining from sexual immorality and our santification go hand in hand. Also think about how Christ died for those sins. He payed the penalty for our sexual sin. The more we focus on what Christ did and died for us on the cross, the stronger it is to not give into these temptations. God bless!
Without repentance (a feeling of deep sorrow) for your sins and a turning away from all sin fully believing that your sins were dealt with by Christ's atoning sacrifice on His cross, then you cannot be a Christian.. You will be found without a wedding garment on the last day (Matt 22:11). See Matt 3:2 also Acts 2:38.
Honestly I think there is a problem here, 1. Relying on a feeling for your repentance isnt the best, while the spirit will convict you and it’s out jobs as Christians to heed it and repent; That’s based on the convictions of what happened not fully on the feeling although the spirit will notify you. This can lead to people be anxious that they feel worse or not as bad about sin too. 2. yes we are to turn from sin and repent and know the power of sin is not stronger that Jesus’ spirit that lives within us given by God but, we must be careful not to act like Christians are somehow sinless, it is the very fact we’re weak that we needed The Son’s sacrifice. This doesn’t make sin right but it’s ok if one slips up.
Relying on feeling is questionable because the heart of deceitful where do you know where it is in what you feel and what is actually the god-given truth?
Temptation gravitates me to acting out and consuming what I soon regret, however, as of lately-I've been handling the preparations for the tempter. It's becoming common practice I set up the fine China and wear my Sundays best with anticipation. Temptation used to call in its order but now It's my number one customer it doesn't even have to ask. The diet of my choice is telling on my figure: I haven't buttered my bread of life nor requested living water. The daily manna is taken like an aspirin, only used when I need a quick relief. It's as if God is good-as an accommodation. He works and, I respond. Sometimes. One step forward, three steps backwards.
I never understood why my pastor took away communion for a young christian in the youth group who was refusing to repent of her sexual sin. This was incredibly helpful in setting out a biblical stance on that and that it is not a hostile move, but designed to love! Amazing.
Antonia Sheldrake I'm sorry but it would not have been your pastors place to revoke communion from that young person if she had not repent of her sexual sin. Only God can judge and if I had been her, and this is only my opinion, I would have quoted scripture to him, that he must judge not lest he be judged. You cannot revoke someones salvation so for him to withhold communion would be as if he was revoking her salvation.
Rachel Robbins Actually, scripture does say about people who call themselves Christians but will not repent - have nothing to do with them. So the pastor was doing the right thing.
Thank you as I have been alone since ...well technically 10 yrs with a non biblical common law marriage and am a 27yr old man....i also believe so....i still try repent daily even if I don't sin daily..i know.my mind isn't changed when I repeat it so..we all know my fault ....but I have outcasted myself when I really wanted to be a preacher...i used to be so learnt even to.know certain root Hebrew and greek...i have been convinced my confondaation and loss of wisedom is attacks of Satan or a punishment and chastisent in love...I know it's no excuse and I do well for a long time.. But like Paul said it is better to marry then burn with this fire....I just can't find real love ...very important that I get it out and do more than self will....i get so on fire when I don't sin ...i pray in the spirit and I just repent immediately after and have even tried to cast it at Jesus feet even confessing all my sexual misdeeds. Pray I find a true wife that is if faith and that I may be the right person not look 4 the right person...I feel such termoil.and fight demonic forces daily in victory in Jesus name as they ultimately name themself and even confess Jesus as " the" Lord enraged but nevertheless....i can do this thru Christ Ipray ..Pray I sin no.more against my body and soul and return to a humble.life where my ministering can grow and I can defeat this wickedness and not be a hypocryite but use it to help others...i don't believe my immediate repentance is a changing of.mind....even if it's minimal and many moons go by each sin the fire returns....may God the true all consuming fire consume this wickedness in my heart and that I may cope.with loneliness and heartbreak better and not defile myself but as written I may stay pure as a young man.....all in agreement said amen. THANKS and tho deeply ashamed I have no one willing to confront/warn me ....send help in prayer form plz
Have to be very careful with such a strategy though. Because if not explained correctly to the person, it will feel like a strong form of judgment. The person could then take it the other way, decide that God does not love him/her anymore (even though its the church), and then drop the faith :(
I agree :( And Paul said to reach out to them afterward (if they have stopped the behavior) and reconfirm love to them in case they be swallowed up in overmuch sorrow.
Mark Tan do you think you can do better than Jesus? That you know how to handle things better than God? Gods word is clear on these matters, on what to do.
“Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation” Matthew 3:28-29 That's the only unforgivable sin but if u just say ur sorry n don't mean it you won't be forgiven God knows ur heart cry out to the Lord and ask Him WHOLE HEARTEDLY to remove all the lust and whatever else ur struggling with in ur heart. Ask in the Holy name of Jesus and His Holy Spirit and ask God to give you the Holy Spirit and His strength also tell Him that you know its not just all His job to help u stop sinning its on you too. You have to want it and be ready I've struggled with so much sin including lust. My love from the One who love me goes out to u n I'm praying for u
I quit porn and masturbation. At first I felt like doing it everyday. But with time and prayer I want it less and less. I feel pain when I sin. I try my best not to do it but sometimes it still happens. At least no more sexual sin.
I feel unable to repent genuinely, i feel god has made my heart forever hard, I begged him to allow me to weep, yet I continued with lust. I feel lost, un-savable, my thoughts are full of blasphemy and intrusive darkness, my chest feels tight and empty. I am 21, a virgin and have been masturbating since 13-14. I hope in my youth GOD will give me time, I think that if I seek so strongly to be able to repent then I may still have a chance to truly repent, not for myself but for how I have wronged GOD. I am unable to fear GOD, or fear the true seriousness of my situation, I understand the seriousness yet feel no fear... I am lost in this sin and have been for years yet I am 21 and have barely experienced the world. I pray this ends, how ironic I used to feel depressed daily as a youth, crying all the time in deep sorrow, a true empath, yet through sin I now beg to even be able to weep, to feel that sorrow...
@Karen Mountain how would I know if I was a victim of sexual abuse? I was very depressed as a child and very weary of people yet I have no memories of such a thing.
Are you holding a grudge against anyone for anything? You need to forgive anyone who has wronged you, especially those who have asked you for forgiveness. But in any case, you can't harbor hatred toward anyone. Ask God to bring light on this matter for you if that's what's holding things up. Matthew 6:14-15 14 “For if you forgive people their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive people, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. You may reach me by e-mail. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
These people are right, there may be something else God needs to deal with before he gets to this problem. If you're in a dark place you're probably not reading your Bible either but there is where he might point out to you what the problem is that he wants to deal with right now. Is there anyone that would come and pray with you at least one day a week every week? Because you're probably not doing that either. I've been in a place before where I couldn't pray and wondered where my church people were. It took a longer time, but I never gave up on God, and I got through it anyhow. I wouldn't have gotten through my life without him and we are a lot closer now, which is a good thing because I'm alone but I'm never alone!
NO not marry each other. They each need to decide whether to become a christian or not. If not go their separate ways. One christian cannot marry an unbeliever.
Ezekiel 18:24 “But if a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked person does, will they live? None of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness they are guilty of and because of the sins they have committed, they will die. Ezekiel 44:9 This is what the Sovereign LORD says: No foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh is to enter my sanctuary, not even the foreigners who live among the Israelites.
once you reject false doctrines you cling on to, flesh sins fall away without effort, the glue holding them at you is your false doctrine, especially "easy salvation" "no works" and "no repentance", when you realize you DO have to DO WORKS of OBEDIENCE to God, he helps you achieve that goal, not works of religion, tradition and legalism, but works of obedience to God in loving him and loving your neighbor
Church discipline is about protecting the integrity of the church and making sure people in positions such as pastor, deacon, elder, Sunday School teacher, youth minister, choir director, being in the choir, being in the praise band, etc are good role models, are good spiritual role models for the church, etc. Church discipline helps make sure that people in positions in churches such as pastor, deacon, elder, Sunday School teacher, youth minister, choir director, being in the choir, being in the praise band, etc are held accountable for the role model status, spiritual maturity, etc. Pastors, deacons, elders, Sunday School teachers, youth ministers, people in the choir, etc are looked at as role models in the church in regards to spiritual maturity. At the church I went to as a kid, if someone was a deacon, elder, youth minister, Sunday School teacher, choir director, etc and they were engaging in behavior that compromised their role model status in regards to spiritual maturity, they were held accountable for what they did. Sometimes deacons, elders, Sunday School teachers, youth ministers, etc are held accountable for their spiritual maturity role model status by them not being a deacon, elder, Sunday School teacher, youth minister, etc anymore until their spiritual maturity role model status improves. In church discipline situations, when a deacon, elder, Sunday School teacher, choir director, youth minister, etc loses their position due to their spiritual role model status being compromised, they're still allowed to attend the church, but they can't be a deacon, elder, Sunday School teacher, choir director, youth minister, etc in the church anymore until their spiritual role model status improves.
am sexual addict I do self sex or masterbation almost every month I repent after doing it but it keeps on driving me crazy and I just can't stop it by my self I need God help and grace
See my video that is titled "Be Set Free From Sin." It links to a post with information that will help you overcome (Revelation 2:7). Pay special attention to the message that is titled "Freedom in Christ Over ALL Addictions and Ungodly Habits" (it's a video you can lookup on UA-cam, too).
Those who dont want repent from sexual sin, i doubt that they have the holy spirit in them. The spirit can not live in sin, it will live godly and holy and want to repent.
I am not so sure about that. I think the Spirit will keep some distance from someone who is living a bad lifestyle...despite them being 'saved'. We must not forget the Grace of God, this isnt to say this is a 'permit to sin' thats not what I am saying. God knows the path of peoples lives, some of us will do some stupid things...we arent 'robots'. Its better, of course, to not get involved in a bad lifestyle...but to, rather, get involved in the healthier and happier life that He meant for us.
@@stephaniebarnes2119 being saved doesnt mean you wont ever sin again, nor is it a pass to sin. Even with the Holy Spirit we're still human and make mistakes. He doesnt just up and leave us how people do. We live by Grace not keeping of the law(though we should do our best at keeping it to be obedient)
Son of Jah I’ve been studying the parables of the sowers and it seems like I was rocky ground believed for a while then immediately fell when temptation came based on what I’ve studying those people lost their chance
My message is to tell people to stop playing up or have nothing to do with me. Period. That will work every single time! I know this is very harsh to say it like that but anybody who thinks about what I said won't miss behave towards me twice.
Have you gotten to the point yet where you hate sin? Can you view this like dealing with an abusive lover? When the urge comes, can you say no I have another love now and turn to Jesus, the word of God and go read or turn on some praise and worship music that's based on scripture? Can you make Psalm 51 10 11 part of a daily prayer? You see, the focus is not on sin but what to do instead of. If you plan on spending time forever with Jesus then you just need to get comfortable with him now. The rest will come, in time. You have to learn how to not open doors. Is it the bar, don't go there. Is it the neighbor, don't go there. Is it a book or magazine oh, don't open it, don't buy it. Is it p***, don't watch it. don't listen to any music that makes you feel sexy. I put myself on house arrest for 3 months. I did not set a time limit it just took that long before I felt strong enough to go back out again. Look up some lessons on the armor of God and start practicing that. you don't have to do anything to be saved except believe and be baptized so we can have the Holy Spirit help but we must participate in fighting evil especially The Evil Within all of us. you have to believe that God is not mad at you, he's waiting for you to come back, he will speak to you through his word so why you're reading watch for a sentence that stands out to you. That - - is what he wants you to work on at this present time. something else is attached to this and he will bring it to your attention and you'll have to rely on him to deal with that too, but at least you'll be more aware now.
"I was committed to being a faithful wife. I studied books about marriage, learned what the 'experts' said was important in making and keeping a good marriage. Two days back I committed sin in my life..I cheat on my husband for the first time by having bed with another man..I don't have any justifications..and I am burning in that sin what I did..will Almighty Jesus forgive me?Or death is the penalty for my unfaithfulness?
Don't listen to Dan Hein heaping more guilt on you. The Holy Spirit convicted you he's doing his job, you're grieving over it you doing your job, you repent, do you receive your forgiveness from God, Jesus is not throwing it up in your face. Devil is the Accuser, I'll try to torment you with this every day. Just remember you are loved, you are forgiven, and you're moving on with Jesus. Is only one sin that sends you to hell and this is not it.
I'm not tormenting you everyday the devil will try. Don't torment yourself with it everyday. If God's going to put your sin in the past then you have to do it too.
what's a true beliver for all have fallen short of the glory of God all have sinned there is not one righteous not one we all sin and are equal in the eyes of god he died for our sins and rised for our justification if we need to be justified then we were are not perfect by any means your sins are no greater then mine
Samuel Jimenez, To the Lord God a sin is a sin is a sin. whether you still a paperclip or you still a man's wallet with $100 in it it's the same sin both are guilty of stealing. but man feels the need to ascribe degrees to sin. One is greater or lesser than the other. let me ask you, which is greater. Killing an innocent unborn child or killing an innocent and Godly Man? Or, how about stealing a man's paycheck vs. stealing a man's wife?
Elena Nash Hi Elena, there is indeed degrees to sin. We can't be 100% philosophical about this. Let's look to scripture... the law of the OT shows that God did indeed require certain harsher punishments to certain sins. Ex. Death for an adulterer. Not the same punishment for lying. The same does the NT by indicating that all other sins are outside the body but sexual sin is within the body and the body, the temple of the Holy Spirit. God kills the sons of Aaron for offering strange fire but let's the sons of Eli live while they sinned against God. Although it is true that only one sin keeps us from seeing a true and pure and holy God, not all sins are equal in severity and/or have the same punishment from God.
Samuel Jimenez, The only sin that God cannot forgive in this nor in the next, is "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit." When a person dies in unbelief, they have committed the Unforgivable Sin. God says, "A little leaven (sin) leavens (leads to more and more sin throughout) the whole loaf." When a Believer dies, he dies without a single sin on his soul. If an unbeliever dies having never sinned in his entire life except once when he took a shinny rock from someone elses rock garden, that tiny sin would be enough to send him to hell. A sin is a sin, no matter how big or how small, the eternal punishment is the same! Heaven is a place where there is NO sin!! This is non-negotiable under any circumstances whatsoever! Case closed.♡
Elena Nash As I mentioned above. One sin is enough to keep us out of heaven. And the "blasphemy of the Holy Spirit" is indeed unbelief. But once again, it only takes a quick look at the Old Testament to see that God did not punish eating pigs (which was unclean) with the same punishment as sleeping with your father's wife. Theft required restitution not death. So is theft worse than murder? Well God commanded the murderer be put to death. And yet the thief lives.
Brothers and sisters, don't listen to teachers. Read the New Testament and ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit so you can understand. Sexual sins lead to spiritual death. Paul tells us very clearly in 1 Corinthians 6: 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? DO NOT BE DECEIVED; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11Such WERE some of you; but you were WASHED, but you were SANCTIFIED, but you were JUSTIFIED in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
Sir, that's what this teacher is saying. You are in agreement. Note: because you have said these things, you are a teacher. By your words, we should not listen to you either. God brings about teachers to bring His Word to us. We should always confirm that teacher is biblically sound, because the teacher is human, so is not without fault. However, we should not turn down the teaching of elders, but instead test it against the Word.
MrPs103 That is not what John Piper is saying. I am not in agreement. The problem here is the "teacher" gives his opinions. Piper says sweet, gooey statements, but he is tickling the ears of the lady who is sinning. This is A SIN WHICH WILL KEEP HER OUT OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD!! The only other place is hell. JESUS SAYS: "6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 BUT the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the SEXUALLY IMMORAL, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars-they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”” Brothers and sisters, you cannot trust Piper. Trust NO MAN! Read the New Testament and believe what it says, not some preacher who you do not know. It is about your soul. Do you know how many teachers/preachers are addicted to porn? Reports are around 40%. And you trust a teacher!! Piper tickled your ears on this video. Jesus did not. Preachers that do not tell the truth have blood on their hands. The lady continuing in sin will go to hell if she does not repent, per the Savior of the World.
Piper did not warn her about the most important thing of all !, but Jesus would, hell !! She had committed a sin Jesus warned would send her to hell, unless she repented. If she sinned and died, without repenting, she would have gone to hell, per Jesus. Meanwhile, you condone Piper's negligence as he speaks "lovingly",but fails to warn of hell? That is not love! That is GROSS NEGLIGENCE and evil. I have every right to challenge such gross negligence on the part of Piper. Piper tickled her ears and left out hell, not only for her, but for every poor soul who may stumble onto this ear tickling video. You say Piper gave no opinion? Hogwash. Brethren, do not trust man. No man. Read the New Testament and ask the Father to fill you with His Holy Spirit and give you understanding. Around 40% of pastors have a porn addiction and many teach you how to not look at porn, while the wrestle with daily. Thousands more want you to buy their book and send them your money. Do not be deceived. Read the New Testament until you can judge the teachers. God never meant for us to have Kings/preachers ruling over us and getting rich. .
Mike Bowman Piper teaches, "you and I sin every day". Wow, what a witness of a so called servant of God and his followers?! Jesus Christ said that all sinning men are of the devil. Unless we choose to overcome sin by the love, grace, power and the spirit of God, we will remain as the children of the devil. It is God's truth. John Piper also teaches: "God declares us to be righteous while we are actually unrighteous". No, God will not lie. Then he says: "All sins, past present and future are thrown in the sea of forgetfulness". No, forgiveness is for the past sins only according to Romans 3:25. When your sinning become past, Jesus Christ forgives your past sins. Piper teaches: "It is a magnificent exchange. Christ knew no sin, perfectly righteous, he upheld the glory of God, and Jesus said that I will take their sin". No, Jesus never said that he will take their sins. He died for the sins of the world and became the righteous Judge for the world. Acts 17:31 says he will judge the world in righteousness. 2 Tim 4:8, 1 Pet. 2:23, Rev. 16:5, and 19:2, 11, repeatedly says that God is a righteous judge. Rev. 22:12 says that he will reward according to their works. Again Piper teaches: "Faith being reckoned as righteousness means that there is an alien righteousness in Christ which is credited to our account". There is no such a thing as alien righteousness. It is a fabrication of Satan. Piper also teaches: "Your legal standing before the judge is as secure as the righteousness of his son". No, the wrath of God will be upon the disobedient people. Eph 5:6 says "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience". Romans 6:17 says, *"But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness and the end everlasting life. That is, we receive everlasting life by our obedience, that is righteousness and holiness."* But John Piper, Paul Washer and others proclaim very boldly that they are all still sinning. Vs 22 says we must be free from sin to become servants of God. So, these sin promoters are not servants of God according to scriptures. But they pose themselves as servants of God. Jesus Christ says in John 8:34, *"I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin."* Sin is of Satan. In vs 44 Jesus tells them, Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. So according to Jesus Christ this preacher is children of the devil. RC Sproul, Paul Washer, Sinclair Ferguson, John Piper, and so many others twist the word of God, preach their doctrine, deceive people, commit sin and serve Satan.
The pulpits cannot be trusted. Truly, they never have been trustworthy. Yet there has always been a remnant. If we continue in the sins Jesus and the apostles warned us about, and we do not repent and die in that state, we will never see the Kingdom of God. There is no other place except hell. False teachers are legion. False teacher, Charles Stanley teaches you will lose your "rewards", but you cannot lose your salvation. What an evil twisting of the Word of God. Apostasy is raging. People, read the New Testament and believe what is written. No one ever came to Calvinism without a false teacher. It is hard to believe anyone could ever read the NT and believe you cannot fall away.
You are correct! As long as we believe that Jesus credited our sin to him, we're good. We're going to sin until the day we die. Anyone who tells you that you must live a sinless life to be saved is lying. What they're saying is that Jesus' precious blood wasn't good enough, which is insane. The blood covers those who are filled with the holy spirit and obey gods commandments. Dont be deceived, Gods anger will be over the children of disobedience.
@@dreamscape405 - If you have no desire for a holy lifestyle you dont have the holy spirit in you and you are not saved. - The proof of being saved is that you are a new creature in christ who live a righteous life because of the spirit in you.
Jesus Christ is God and saviour can we repent from Living our life this way or are we doomed. I read the book of Jude I was in a lot of sin in college but I did not realize I could lose my salvation or understand love = obedience
Consensual intercourse before marriage is a definite sign of NOT being born again. It means you are still on the throne and would not submit to God. In your marriage, God will always come second and you will bear no fruit as a couple. You will differ in your separate picture of God and will find it difficult to pray together and thus will have little power to establish God's Kingdom. God respects the unity in marriage and longs of the same unity between Him and us. He is a jealous God in that sense and will not share His glory. To have the fullness of the Kingdom in righteousness, peace and joy, God must come first. To repent and be baptised again is the only way to recapture the Holy Spirit. Shalom.
First of all you need to make sure you are born again. If you are not, marriage won´t make you overcome it. prayer, fasting or any other thing won't do a thing for it either. Have you watched Paul Washer´s preaching on "examine yourself"? ITs a great starting point. If you need anything please write me!

This is don't agree with.....The scripture says..If a brother sins AGAINST YOU not if a brother IS IN SIN. ....you have to rightly divide the Word not take our of context. In this case we'd throw EVERYBODY OUT or take the steps to anyway. My .02cents....30 years as a minister and pastor.
I agree with Piper. If a Christian is in sin and refuses to repent from sin, then that person must be cut off. If someone refuses to repent, they are making a very conscious decision to select SIN over GOD. If this person will not surrender their broken heart to Christ, then are they a Christian? Also, allowing this person to stay in the church COMPLETELY DESTROYS the church's ability and the "person caught in sin's" ability to be effective in the kingdom. Now people outside the church look into the church and see the sin of a person and say to themselves "wow, that's what Christianity is all about". They have been turned away from Christ due to the sin in the church. The church must be a light to the world, and the church can not do this if the church looks just like the world in its sinful behavior. BUT remember, that excommunication must be done with love and careful consideration.
Pope, maybe you should step down from your position and seek God. Firstly Piper said nothing of what your response proclaimed, secondly there is no context to be taken out of here, he is peaking about a "believer" who refuses to repent, which means they are illegitimate children of God because a person with the spirit dwelling in them would have accepted correction, repented, and believed. Lastly by you stating your qualifications for personal opinion, "pastor 30 years" shows where your heart is. Your 39 years pastoring means absolutely nothing without revelation from God. Anyone and I mean anyone can study scripture but no one can understand without the spirit. In love.
+rocky baudoin If that was "in love" I'd hate to see you upset. You're intolerance and obvious disdain for perfection tell a story. You should apologize.
The nun in Catholic school warned us about "fast women." She warned us to stay away from those trollops with their cheap red pumps. The nun who taught us religion reminded us that teenage jezebels make their presence known with their painted eyes and painted lips while wearing the devil's scent to attract innocent Christian boys into their sinful web of lust. The nun warned us that if we gave into temptation that these cheap teenage jezebels would lure us into everlasting hell with no redemption.
you have no right to take jesus away from his pepole who do you think you are cut them off that's not a house of God if a drugie comes to your church every Sunday will you eventually cut him off too because of his addictions jesus is here for the sinner not the perfect
He never said ban the person from church. He said let him be treated differently than a true believer because of their stubbornness in sin while as yet they already know the truth. that is 100% Biblical. You are not understanding his message accurately. GOD bless you, in Jesus' Holy Name.
Said don't have communion with them and don't hang out with them outside of the church. And if I remember correctly because I've read so many of these stupid comments on here so far, the question was addressed about a church member.
I'm really struggling with this. I know Jesus said; if your a true believer you WILL GO AND SIN NO MORE. So what do I do? I'm trying to repent and take that log out of my eye. But I'm failing so how do I fix this?
You can't repent until your heart is ready to repent, only wanting it in your mind isn't enough. Pray to the Lord and admit your weakness on this point. (The Bible says if you admit your weakness the Lord can make it your strength) Beg the Lord to change your heart and purify it on this topic. Also fasting can help to speed up the process, it strengthen your prayers and it shows the Lord you really want it. Also pray to the Lord and ask Him to place the Holy Spirit on the throne of your temple. Succes brother, keep your faith up and let the Holy Spirit do His work in you!
@@catfleas7923😂. no. She should try to forgive him and fight for the relationship. Same if the woman cheated. We are not like fhe world, we are to fight to stay one seeing as God has put man and wife together. When Israel(God's bride) was unfaithful, He did not leave them. He chastened them and fought for their salvation. He wanted them to RETURN TO HIM. Nonetheless, if it is to no avail, spouses have the absolute biblical authority to divorce.
The person being 'confronted' about their sex life should respond by telling these lunatics to go pound sand. And as an aside a boy kissing a girl isn't a sin. Am sick of teens being messed up in the head by isolation, repression, guilt, and shame. Telling kids that if they kiss they'll go to hell. That if they're attracted to another, they ought to gouge their eyes out. Its lunatic.
if we look more carefully at mattew 18verse 15. it says if your brother sins against you. in this matter the woman judging the guy does not understand the sin is not against her but she judges him because she still does not understand what repentance means it is simply confessing our sin to God and he is faithful and just to forgive us our sin. she is offended because she is self righteous. if the man changes it must come from above on believing that it is God who saves sinners he cannot change his standing with God if he only believes in the Lord Jesus and understand John 15. he is in a safer place to be than you who want to judge by the flesh he needs a new life that comes from believing God that we must confess and be true to our selves and to God to the glory of God and his righteousness.
Can i ask those who have sinned in this way, why do u ? Im a young Christian and it is discouraging to see those who know more bible than i and claim to have an established relationship with god continually sin and nit seem to see the fault. I want to understand their mindset so please if this was you what did tell your self during this time in your life and what changed to stop it ?
A lot of people don't have and are not taught to have the fear of God. That is one explanation. I recommend you lookup this message on UA-cam: _Learning The Fear Of God First_ by Zac Poonen. I hope it is enlightening. Peace to you!
Once you repent in the way God wants you to, you will be going forward in God's ways and not falling back into any deliberate sins (knowing right from wrong and still keeping on choosing to do wrong). When you repent you agree with God about what is evil and that you need to turn away and stay away from. You will hate sin as God hates sin. If that's not the case, you can say your mind hasn't yet changed about sinning or loving God with all your heart in the way that it needs to change so that you will turn the page for good from any known sin in your life. It is God's grace that will help you overcome sin and live a new life that is pleasing to Him (Titus 2:11-14). Please see the videos in my playlist called _Be Set Free From Sin_ for help if you need. Peace to you!

Matthew said "sins against YOU"...not if you find a sexually active couple to tell church. But Paul did say not to associate with sexually immoral "so called believer"
I fall into sexual sin every couple of weeks or months. Pray n confess to the Lord about it n soon enough over time it happens again. How do I rid myself of this sin once n for all. Its so defeating n I end up feeling like I can never be free from it. I've even had a child due to it but I still continued with it. I try to repent but every time I'm faced with temptation I seem to fail at resisting...
You are in a battle for your soul (we all are) and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts and don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions. When thoughts come to you that you don't want to entertain, remind yourself of what will keep you focused on pursuing godliness (Philippians 4:8, Psalm 119:11, 2 Timothy 2:22). If you realize that you are trapped in sin and need to be delivered, knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance, because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to a desire of your flesh when you are being tempted, and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15, 1 Corinthians 10:13, 1 Peter 4:1). God's grace will help you to do that (Titus 2:11-14) and He will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing Him above all and you trust that He will deliver you. It is important that what you regard as repentance is what God calls repentance in the Bible. You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key. That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (Romans 3:25), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), freedom from sin/addictions, and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is salvation. You need to approach God the way He expects you to-with the right mindset: James 1:21-22 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness [that's repentance],✷ receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience],✷✷ and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. ✷Repentance means you turn from disobedience to God to obedience to God, then you continue on a path of faithful obedience to God, which is what faith is about (there is no disconnection-you repent then continue on a faith journey). ✷✷Faith is about obeying God continuously or faithfully. That is why it's a journey, not a moment's decision about accepting some facts as true (like Jesus came into the world to save sinners, suffered and died and rose again). All that must be believed (not be doubted) but that saves no one without a commitment to obey Jesus (Hebrews 5:9). Sinning when you know right from wrong is disobedience to God and it is rooted in unbelief actually (Hebrews 3:17-18). Hebrews 5:9 And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of 👉 eternal salvation to all those who obey Him James 4:7-8 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. You have to be in 100% agreement with God about doing his will for the rest of your life and you will become "dead to sin" as the Bible says (1 Peter 2:21-24, Romans 6:1-2): that is how you will be set free from sin (John 8:34-36, Romans 6:4-7, Romans 6:14-18). It is the truth that will set you free (John 8:31-32, 36). Peace to you!
Seek help from Pure Life Ministries. I hope you are desperate bc if you aren’t you will not be free. Also I suggest At the Altar of Sexual Idolatry by Steve Gallagher.
Romans 8:1 AMP “Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior].” Would the recurring sexual behaviors be the root or the fruit of the matter? Looking for love in all the wrong places is not a new thing. If we continue to treat the fruit and never the root can we possible be successful? By continuously condemning and unsettling the actor by telling them God does not love or accept them become part of the solution or the problem? I wonder if we stopped teaching condemnation and began to teach the unmerited, insatiable love of God we wouldn’t see better results. Hebrews 13:15 AMP ….for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” 2Corinthians 3:9AMP For if the ministry that brings condemnation [the old covenant, the Law] has glory, how much more does glory overflow in the ministry that brings righteousness [the new covenant which declares believers free of guilt and sets them apart for God’s special purpose]!
What if a person sinned fonication and became pregnant. But even before being called by the church she was convicted and repented but the sign of sin still exists. How will that person live among the Christians and how will that person do the work of God like public preaching and teaching
Nyambura, this is an excellent question. Repentance doesn't always have to take place at church for everyone to witness to "prove" you are repentant. The Holy Spirit has dealt with me more during my personal devotion time with Him than at church. Everyone doesn't have to "see" when you were broken and had a contrite heart. As long as you know you have repented and are no longer walking in sin, that's all that matters.
Your concern should not be what people may call you, but what Jesus will say of you on the last day because of how you have chosen to live. Read Matthew 7:13-14, 21-23. If you don't seriously seek God for his truth, you won't know what's really "apostate." Churches can be apostate and true followers of Jesus who are choosing to live righteously for Him can be called "apostate" too and that would be slander. But if you desire to live for God, seek the truth and you will know what's what in this world full of deception.
We for sure want to do everything we can to love those who are backsliden back to the Savior. However, Pipers stance on if this individual remains in this sexual sin and backsliden does not lose their salvation. NOT BIBLICAL.
John Piper never once said that they will not lose their salvation if they remain in sexual sin. We are all under our own convictions. A christian today can turn away from God tomorrow and go to Hell. John Piper has not said anything in this video "not Biblical".
John Trevett absolutely, there is a ton of scriptural evidence for this. God does not make His people puppets after salvation. If we choose to walk away, He will chastise us, but we STILL have our free will. If we decide to use that free will to walk away from Him then we forfeit our salvation. God is Holy and cannot allow sin into Heaven therefore if we continue to walk in sin after receiving this free gift then we are in danger of damnation.
John Trevett, let's start with lucifer. He was thrown out of Heaven along with all who followed him. God cannot have those who think they say a prayer one day and then live like hell, enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Like I already said, He does not make us puppets just because He gives us a free gift of eternal salvation. Any scripture you can pull from the Bile about eternal salvation is backed with "if we hold on to the end". We are warned in several scriptures by many prophets to hold on to the blessed hope, or to the faith we had from the beginning until the end for a reason. There are way too many scriptures that warn us to not get entangled or snared again after receiving the truth for anyone to believe in OSAS. Can we trust that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and save us on the day of judgement? Absolutely, scripture says we have the blessed assurance "IF" we abide in Christ! That little word IF means it's conditional. I know what you've been told and there's a lot of false teachings out there about this subject but scripture is clear and Jesus Christ was clear as well. He said. "Nobody comes to the Father except through Me", and "those who love will obey My commands". If that isn't enough then consider these words also from Jesus. This is John 15:1-6 I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. 3 You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. 4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. 5 “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. 6 Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. Now those who want to ignore these kinds of teachings from the very mouth of the Son of God have the free will to do so, but Jesus Himself says here that those who DO NOT REMAIN IN HIM will be cut off and burned in the fire. Friends, do not be deceived here. This is just as crystal clear as how it's written. Remain is to hold on to the salvation that has been given to you, to do those things that Christ has commanded us, and to receive our reward in the end! To not remain is to let go of the free gift of salvation, walking away from the new life Christ has given you, and receive the eternal punishment that we have been warned about.
Someone I care about deeply won’t repent of the adulatory she committed years ago because she equates that act with denying the true love she says she felt for that person. She believes in Christ and his redeeming work on the cross, but cannot get herself to repent. I know that I don’t do the saving here…but is there anything I can say or do besides praying for her?
She can believe in Jesus' redeeming work on the cross, but that's not what will get her to be redeemed herself. Her believing in Christ is not yet what it needs to be. She needs to understand that. She needs to see sin as God sees sin and in particular she needs to see the evil in her heart that she needs to be saved from. I recommend you lookup this message on UA-cam: _"Born Again Through Repentance And Faith"_ by Zac Poonen. You can start listening to the full message at 23:38 exactly. Examine your understanding of that message for yourself. It's about the way to approach God to come into a relationship with Him. Then be in prayer and consider how you may share the message with that woman. Peace to you!
"Let him be to you as a gentile or tax collector". You seriously think that means Jesus wants to reject sinners from the church? Jesus broke bread with tax gatherers and gentiles, he treated them like people and so should we. Who do you think you are to judge the actions of a human. I shall be judged by God and God alone.
I don’t think a brother having sex has anything to do with you. He’s sinning against his own body. I don’t think it’s anyone’s business unless it’s someone in ministry
Love you neighbour: let him go into his destruction. Or Love your neighbour: help him overcome. ---- The reason you're excommunicating is not to get rid of someone. It is an intervention.
Apostle Paul said to kick them out of the church, until they repent, and If they stop, then restore them gently and forgive them.. But a "little leaven ruins the whole batch. It is church Discipline that Jesus said we are to do.. and rebukes a church for "tolerating" Jezebel. and also in the Corinthian church a man had his Fathers wife, and the church did not grieve over this, so he gave this brother over to satan for the destruction of his flesh, that his soul might be "saved.
I find this unsatisfactory. Who among us does not practice some form of habitual sin? Following this advice, the people who would be judging the sexual sinner may be profligate spenders, gluttonous eaters, they may be frigid in their own marriage and hurtgully deprive their own spouse of the joy and connection of a biblical sexual relationship, they may cheat people at work, they may treat family members with jealousy and enmity…. or any of a thousand other common possibilities. What right, then, do they have to shine a light on their neighbor’s sun and deprive them of the Church community while their own habitual sin remains hidden in self-righteous darkness? Certainly the degree of wickedness matters. And certainly feedback from a loving fellow Christian can help all concerned. But imagine (for example) a frigid wife who has hurt fully deprived her faithful husband of sex for 10 years of marriage sitting in judgement of a friend who is in a 3-month old sexual relationship with a serious boyfriend who she intends to marry. Judging others is a tricky business when we are so often blind to our own sin.
All your reasoning is correct for what you regard as true or normal, but the issue is that you do not see the possibility of *not* walking in the darkness of ongoing sin. And that situation would likely be accompanied by some form of hypocrisy that would make it an additional sin for one to venture and judge others on their own sins. But please consider to what extent you believe what Jesus says here: John 8:12 Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:34-36 34 Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. 35 A slave does not live in the house forever. A son remains forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Righteousness is God's will--it's the opposite of sin. And there is such a thing as walking on "the way of righteousness" (2 Peter 2:21), which is a path that is opposite to the path of one who is "practicing some form of habitual sin." Romans 6:16 Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, whether of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? Then one must ask what it means to be "saved from sin" really: Matthew 1:21 And she will bring forth a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for *He will save his people from their sins.* Why does an ongoing struggle with sin sounds like a bad deal, and the Gospel that Jesus proclaimed sounds like the Good News that it is? Luke 4:18-19 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. There is a lot of falsehood being preached in the name of Jesus, He has warned of that, his apostles have warned of that, too, and I don't know anyone who has not been a victim of that. That is what I am calling your attention on. Note that here Jesus instructs the hypocrite, "self-righteous" person to do what it takes to no longer be a hypocrite and be able to exercise love toward his brother in removing the speck out of his brother’s eye: Matthew 7:3-5 3 And why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye;’ and look, the log is in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite. 👉 *First remove the log out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.* The way God wants us to live comes down to loving Him above all and loving our neighbor like ourselves: Matthew 22:37-39 37 Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not burdensome. That submission to God's will and obedience to his word out of love is what will keep a person from going on knowing right from wrong and keeping on choosing to do wrong (sin) and moving on a path that will lead to destruction (Matthew 7:13-14, Romans 6:23, James 1:13-15). There is a deliverance, a setting free or setting at liberty (from sin) in that (John 8:36, Luke 4:18). I invite you to consider those few scriptures and pray concerning their meaning. Peace to you!
Hi This, It is urgent that you genuinely repent, that means coming into 100% agreement with God about what is good and what is evil and that you need to turn away from. It's a black and white matter, so don't let it be any kind of gray area. When you recognize certain thoughts that come to you are sinful, you need to be fighting against them. When they come, you must not agree with them and take them as a basis for any equally sinful imaginations nor act on them. Instead, call out to God immediately and tell Him you don't want to keep having such thoughts. And also do your best to focus on something else. You can memorize some scriptures that have to do with the purity of your heart precisely, and recall them in those moments when thoughts come to tempt you. These thoughts may not go away right away but you must not give up. When you stand against them, that's your cross that you are taking up daily to be a follower of Jesus (Luke 9:23). And if you're following Jesus, He won't lead you into sin. Jesus will completely deliver you, but you have to do your part which is how you show God that you love Him above all (John 14:15) and want to follow his ways with all your heart. And by faith, you need to see the day of your deliverance, where you will just look back and realize you haven't been having these kinds of thoughts, and give praise to God! Peace to you!
Excommunication is an action taken only by the Roman Catholic Church! Hummm. When anyone is a member of the Body of Christ, the Church which is under "Grace", are never excommunicated by God, who is Jesus Christ in the flesh; for only Christ is the head of the Body of Christ which is His Church...not the other way around, John. And be sure to pay no attention to the FACT that the Book of Matthew was not directed to the Body of the church made up of both Gentile and Jew. Jesus was never sent but unto the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Matthew 15:24 makes this abundantly clear when Jesus said, "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the House of Israel." That also proves that The Book of Matthew it's not speaking to nor is it remotely directed toward the Gentile Church, which hadn't been established until after corporate Israel refused to BELIEVE Christ and called for His crucifixion and death on the Cross. Our Behavior has nothing to do with our Salvation and whether or not we are Saved. Salvation is by the Grace of God alone, plus Faith/Belief alone, In Christ alone, plus nothing.♡
Our behavior is evidence of salvation. Why do you call me Lord and do not the things I say? not everyone who calls me Lord will be saved but he who does the will of my father. Lord did we not cast out demons and do works in your name? And he will to them depart from me you workers of iniquity, I never knew you. ALL these verses someone is professing Christ as Lord yet are told they are lost because they did not obey. This is not teaching works. We are saved by grace through faith. But scripture is clear when we are saved we are born again and given a new nature and become a new creation. If there is no evidence of repentance and obedience you do not know the Lord. And ex-communication is biblical. Church leaders are told to go in private to someone who is in sin and call them to repent. If they do not we are told to put them out of the church.
@@narcissistinjurygiver2932 Paul lost a lot of high position by men, believing and following in Jesus, not to mention his life! He was taught by Jesus himself before he was sent to the apostles. Just like they were taught.
That person needs to truly understand the call of the Gospel and needs to be born again. God's grace is the help given to live for Him and do what is pleasing to Him. The way to receive the grace is humility (James 4:6-8). God empowers those who are totally surrendered to Him and no longer want to live for themselves but for Him.
I feel that insightfully the pastor is correct in excommunication of church members who knows its right but still engage in doing wrongs. However, Jesus also teaches the leaders and other body of christ in helping the weaker ones in faith. some believers truly wanted to leave their old sinful past but they always tripped and return to old self and give up on becoming a better self version of themsleves. And I personally view this as a compassion issue with most religious people around the world. Even islam hindi or christians mostly are not always compassionate enough to see a need to help these people to get up and leave their sins. Because some I would say they have a good support system with other religious ones surrounded, hence the good positive influence to stay being religious is strong as a tower. However those lost souls who are left behind need our attention. If these individuals can help themsleves why would there be a need for community in our society today? I believed in the strength of a support group rather than doctrines and words alone which can hardly change our sinful ways by our own self attempt. We alone cannot redeem ourselves from any sins. Thus we need Jesus. However Jesus has died 2000 yrs ago.. So since he cannot be physically here to support all of us, his bible verses has inspire some christians in certain ministry to become a support system in providing help to these ones.
Yes , only Jesus is the redeemer .Salvation and true freedom in truth ..in Jesus Forgiveness.Eternal life and deliverance ....keep on hoing in the way , truth life ..believe and repent is grace .. Pursue in the way with him, Jesus ..in him . He shall deliver us from all evil deeds ...
the messiah never said we were to have leaders. we were to all be equal. these professional preachers are nothing more than modern day pharisees. they make everything a sin while not keeping or teaching the 10 commandments
You need to make sure you are born again, having genuinely repented. Baptism is supposed to come only after that (Acts 2:38), so make sure you understand repentance well and do repent. No need to be baptized again if you understood what it meant the first time. Otherwise, do as God leads you. Read Romans 6:4-7. Please lookup this message on UA-cam: _Born Again Through Repentance And Faith_ by Zac Poonen. You can start listening at 23:38. Peace to you!
I commited sexual sin n asked God forgiveness ...I as doing good n stop masturbating n pornography. But recently I started commuting the San mishap how can I repent for real ....please help me to Overcome .Lord
I recommend this post to you: _"01 - Is Repentance Just a Change of Mind?"_ Please see my video titled _"Be Set Free From Sin."_ You will find the link to the post in the video's description. Peace to you!
Reformed teaching is not "strict adherence to the Bible." But really, all denominations claim strict adherence to the Bible. It's up to the truth seeker to find the truth and walk in it by relying on God rather than on men. Because we are at the time 2 Timothy 4:3-4 is talking about.

Hello, Sister.
So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God."
1 John 3:9 NLT
But if we fall we have a High Priest which is Christ Jesus! Repent and confess your sins and He will forgive you!
"Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him."
Philippians 2:12-13 NLT
God will never tell us to do anything that He will not give us the strength to do.
Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils."
1 Corinthians 10:13, 21 KJV
Sin is a type of idolatry. We serve sin as our master. We need to flee sin.
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up."
James 4:7-8, 10 KJV
I will pray for your victory in Christ!
He also promised, " all that the father gives me she'll come to me and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out (never lose you)."
"And this is the Father's "will" which hath sent me, that all of which he hath given Me I should lose nothing but should raise it up again at the last day." (members of the body of Christ; The Believeing only, Church.) Please read now;
John 6:37,39 40, 47;
John 6:28-29, John 3:16; Romans 10:9; Acts 16:3.
The more you starve the "old nature, the more the "New" nature (the Holy Spirit) will flourish within you.♡
"Look up! for your Redemption is very near; even at the door." Until then Christ says, "Occupy, 'till I come".
God loves you so much, that He would rather die than to have to live without you!♡
The only "work" that God will accept from anyone in order that they may be Saved is
"...to BELIEVE on the One whom he hath sent."
John 6:28-29, 40, 47.
Read these scriptures today.
Stay away from the false teachers ie: John Piper, Greg Laurie, John MacArthur, Paul Washer, pastor Chen,
Keith Cameron and many more.
Flying Dog,
My Dear yet struggling friend,
One of the biggest mistakes that we as Christians make is not "rightly dividing the word of Truth", 2nd Timothy 2:15.
He said, "I am not sent but unto the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel."
Matthew 15:24.
The others, the other Apostles an their followers, agreed with "the words of the prophets as it was written." Acts 15:15
You can see this transition when you read Acts 15 for yourself.♡
This transition was confirmed for us in Acts 16: 30-31.♡♡♡
So are you saying the sermon on the mount doesn't apply to the body of Christ?
If u keep doing it then have u truly repented..? Genuine biblical repentance is changing ur mind about sin (which results in turning away from sin) & fixing ur gaze on / reliance & trust in Christ alone..
Whatever I'm not christian anymore
This is my biggest struggle!!! Ugh, I battle with the flesh. Daily! Please help please pray for me. I am a single female in my 30s and the urges are so bad. ♥️😔 I pray all the time. God please help me and make me pure.
Maybe a husband will help
Get it in the word and stay consistent with it!
don’t be so guilty
I pray this helps (if it's still timely).

sexual sin is devastating.
How “good” it felt in the moment, was nothing compared to the pain after the sin!
where does it say its sin to kiss before marriage?
What was the exact pain?
@@LovePatience32 what's the purpose of kissing?

You have no evidence that jesus or god exist. You are worried about nothing.
Nicholas Flamel Wrong. There is plenty of historical evidence

Jesus is the only antidote.

AMEN!
Robert Bowes,
Dear Robert,
What a wonderful prayer and understanding.
I repented and was baptized and belive the gospel and have faith in my Lord and saviour

Sin is terryfying and the more you do it the number you get. God delivered me from sexual sin and im so happy
Quickly becoming my favorite channel on UA-cam.
Michael Martin Why is sexual sin deemed to be more egregious than other types of sin?
I pray that God will deliver you from the power of sin in Jesus. Through the purifying, sanctifying fire of God.

If a christian does not repent from sexual sin, he or she is not a Christian!
Single 'Not a Christian', reporting for trolling duty sir! 🤣
I quit porn and masturbation. At first I felt like doing it everyday. But with time and prayer I want it less and less. I feel pain when I sin. I try my best not to do it but sometimes it still happens. At least no more sexual sin.
Parable of the prodigal son and Esau's inheritance people. Don't squander the inheritance and blessing God has provided with you in Christ
Matthew 6:14-15
14 “For if you forgive people their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive people, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

@@yestothetruth The only person I have not forgiven is myself.
How do you feel now
Pray for me to overcome sexual sin. Wicked things come out of a man and defile him so said Jesus. Pray for me to change on the inside.
The female and male living together should ask for forgiveness and repent of their sins of sexual sins. And marry each other.
NO not marry each other. They each need to decide whether to become a christian or not. If not go their separate ways. One christian cannot marry an unbeliever.
Ezekiel 18:24
“But if a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked person does, will they live? None of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness they are guilty of and because of the sins they have committed, they will die.

once you reject false doctrines you cling on to, flesh sins fall away without effort, the glue holding them at you is your false doctrine, especially "easy salvation" "no works" and "no repentance", when you realize you DO have to DO WORKS of OBEDIENCE to God, he helps you achieve that goal, not works of religion, tradition and legalism, but works of obedience to God in loving him and loving your neighbor
Please read psalm 51

What if they repent later. I thought I was saved but was in sin

James Williams There are sins that are greater than others.
Samuel Jimenez, The only sin that God cannot forgive in this nor in the next, is "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit."
When a person dies in unbelief, they have committed the Unforgivable Sin.
God says, "A little leaven (sin) leavens (leads to more and more sin throughout) the whole loaf."
When a Believer dies, he dies without a single sin on his soul.
I needed this!
Brothers and sisters, don't listen to teachers. Read the New Testament and ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit so you can understand. Sexual sins lead to spiritual death. Paul tells us very clearly in 1 Corinthians 6:
9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
This is the second death.””
Brothers and sisters, you cannot trust Piper.
That is, we receive everlasting life by our obedience, that is righteousness and holiness."*
But John Piper, Paul Washer and others proclaim very boldly that they are all still sinning.

Because consensual intercourse before a marital agreement is the reason why famine and global conflict runs amok on this planet.
Shalom.

In love.

May you find life and peace (Romans 8:6)!

She needs to dump him
@@catfleas7923😂.
0:45. When the son of man comes shall he find faith?
if we look more carefully at mattew 18verse 15. it says if your brother sins against you. in this matter the woman judging the guy does not understand the sin is not against her but she judges him because she still does not understand what repentance means it is simply confessing our sin to God and he is faithful and just to forgive us our sin. she is offended because she is self righteous. if the man changes it must come from above on believing that it is God who saves sinners he cannot change his standing with God if he only believes in the Lord Jesus and understand John 15. he is in a safer place to be than you who want to judge by the flesh he needs a new life that comes from believing God that we must confess and be true to our selves and to God to the glory of God and his righteousness.
Can i ask those who have sinned in this way, why do u ? Im a young Christian and it is discouraging to see those who know more bible than i and claim to have an established relationship with god continually sin and nit seem to see the fault. Is there a difference between not repenting from a sin and hating a sin and falling into it again?

Matthew said "sins against YOU"...not if you find a sexually active couple to tell church. But Paul did say not to associate with sexually immoral "so called believer"
Mr. C Like the woman taken in adultery (John 8)? No need to hear the voice of strangers: Jesus is our Pastor and Teacher.
Confess openly to your pastor
You need to approach God the way He expects you to-with the right mindset:
James 1:21-22
21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness [that's repentance],✷ receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
Hebrews 5:9
And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of 👉 eternal salvation to all those who obey Him
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Romans 8:1 AMP “Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior].”
Would the recurring sexual behaviors be the root or the fruit of the matter? Looking for love in all the wrong places is not a new thing. If we continue to treat the fruit and never the root can we possible be successful? By continuously condemning and unsettling the actor by telling them God does not love or accept them become part of the solution or the problem? I wonder if we stopped teaching condemnation and began to teach the unmerited, insatiable love of God we wouldn’t see better results.
Hebrews 13:15 AMP ….for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!”
2Corinthians 3:9AMP For if the ministry that brings condemnation [the old covenant, the Law] has glory, how much more does glory overflow in the ministry that brings righteousness [the new covenant which declares believers free of guilt and sets them apart for God’s special purpose]!
What if a person sinned fonication and became pregnant. But even before being called by the church she was convicted and repented but the sign of sin still exists. How will that person live among the Christians and how will that person do the work of God like public preaching and teaching
Nyambura Makuru if she repented and she belongs to Christ she can be restored but sometimes she will never be appointed to leadership
Does choosing sin to the degree that you are shunned from the church constitute being an apostate?
A born again believer can lose salvation?
John Trevett absolutely, there is a ton of scriptural evidence for this. God does not make His people puppets after salvation. If we choose to walk away, He will chastise us, but we STILL have our free will. If we decide to use that free will to walk away from Him then we forfeit our salvation. God is Holy and cannot allow sin into Heaven therefore if we continue to walk in sin after receiving this free gift then we are in danger of damnation.
Joe Tennant I strongly disagree. Name one instance in scripture where one lost their salvation. Eternal security of the believer is biblical.
This is John 15:1-6
I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener.
Jesus is coming soon! Repent and turn to Him because He loves you and wants to build a relationship with you! (Be your very bestest friend)

What would you do differently if you knew a Christian who won't repent from sexual sin?
If churches actually did this in a way that is loving and biblical then Christianity would thrive.
So going to the courthouse and signing some paperwork means you are no longer sinning?
No
I don’t think a brother having sex has anything to do with you. He’s sinning against his own body. I don’t think it’s anyone’s business unless it’s someone in ministry
Love you neighbour: let him go into his destruction.
Or
Love your neighbour: help him overcome.
----
The reason you're excommunicating is not to get rid of someone.
But please consider to what extent you believe what Jesus says here:
John 8:12
Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:34-36
34 Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. 35 A slave does not live in the house forever. A son remains forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Matthew 5:6
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.
Righteousness is God's will--it's the opposite of sin. And there is such a thing as walking on "the way of righteousness" (2 Peter 2:21), which is a path that is opposite to the path of one who is "practicing some form of habitual sin."
Romans 6:16
Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, whether of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
Then one must ask what it means to be "saved from sin" really:
Matthew 1:21
And she will bring forth a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for *He will save his people from their sins.*
Why does an ongoing struggle with sin sounds like a bad deal, and the Gospel that Jesus proclaimed sounds like the Good News that it is?
Luke 4:18-19
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
There is a lot of falsehood being preached in the name of Jesus, He has warned of that, his apostles have warned of that, too, and I don't know anyone who has not been a victim of that. That is what I am calling your attention on.
Note that here Jesus instructs the hypocrite, "self-righteous" person to do what it takes to no longer be a hypocrite and be able to exercise love toward his brother in removing
the speck out of his brother’s eye:
Matthew 7:3-5
3 And why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye;’ and look, the log is in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite. 👉 *First remove the log out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.*
The way God wants us to live comes down to loving Him above all and loving our neighbor like ourselves:
Matthew 22:37-39
37 Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments.

Matthew 15:24 makes this abundantly clear when Jesus said,
"I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the House of Israel."
That also proves that The Book of Matthew it's not speaking to nor is it remotely directed toward the Gentile Church, which hadn't been established until after corporate Israel refused to BELIEVE Christ and called for His crucifixion and death on the Cross.
If they do not we are told to put them out of the church.
if you are not obeying the 10 you are not saved

How would you respond to someone who says that he is trying hard to avoid X and he needs some help?

Jesus doesn't take anything away from us against our will. I think we're supposed to give our sins to him.
When most won't repent of respect of persons.
only Christ Jesus can do something against sin...
I was baptized But now Ive sinned do I need To be baptized again?
You need to make sure you are born again, having genuinely repented. Baptism is supposed to come only after that (Acts 2:38), so make sure you understand repentance well and do repent. No need to be baptized again if you understood what it meant the first time. Otherwise, do as God leads you. Read Romans 6:4-7.

I dont know if he considers himself this but many associate john piper with the reformed movement. Strict adherence to the Bible.
Reformed teaching is not "strict adherence to the Bible." But really, all denominations claim strict adherence to the Bible. It's up to the truth seeker to find the truth and walk in it by relying on God rather than on men. Because we are at the time 2 Timothy 4:3-4 is talking about.
