Early on his dad was famously tight fisted (got fired for not fitting raiders culture) and even later it caused him to clash with people. Once he got td he kind of learned to stop micro managing to an extent but Kyle doesn't seem capable of that and is maybe too enamored with people saying how smart he is.
Terrible big game coach and honestly a bad come from behind coach.
He should be fired and get a winning coach like Bill Belichick

This is typical of someone who got his opportunity through nepotism. He never had to earn anything by taking any risks. He lived a comfortable and risk free career. He didn't have to prove anything bec he is the son of a Super Bowl coach. He didn't trust anyone but himself. He couldn't take any risks bec he had to be blameless first and foremost. He took the ball first so he didn't have the pressure to score a TD. If the FG is missed then it's on the kicker. If the D failed to stop KC, then it's on Wilks. He has no accountability. He's the blameless genius!

Totally agree with you! Not often does Mahomes turn the ball over; it’s very rare. So when you get him to make a mistake and turn the ball over, you ABSOLUTELY NEED to score because if you don’t, it will come back and bite you. And it certainly did come back and bite San Fran in the end. You put up at least 3 points on his turnover, and you win the ball game.
I hate Shanahan. I truly hope they go 2-15 next year.. Then they will fire his pathetic ass !!!

He’s a loser until he wins. Andy Reid had the same label before acquiring Pat Mahomes. Perhaps he’s missing that transcendent QB or just unlucky. What I will hold against him is that in these situations he keeps moving away from his game plan in the bigger games. Why was Christian McCaffery so less involved in the second half than he was in the first half? It’s no shot at Purdy because he played well but you were in control of the game when McCaffery was getting the ball.
The qb is not the problem, purdy was basically better than all other qbs in the nfl stat wise the entire season.

i saw a pretty good analysis that showed how spags made kyle move away from the run
There were two 3rd and short plays where the chiefs were obviously going to blitz and Shanahan called for pass plays that were disrupted or batted down. A screen play or a running play or a trick play that exploits the blitz would be an obvious thing to do, but for some reason Shanahan couldn't see the obvious.
Lions would have made quick work of the Chiefs defense

As a huge chief's fan , I will tell you one thing , the 49ners are not losers , just by making it to the Super Bowls. Makes you a winner. At least they didn't lose in the first round of the playoffs , so they should be thankful. Us Chief's fans are just happy to make it to the Super Bowl.

I'm a Chiefs fan I remember they used to say the same thing about Andy Reid couldn't get over the hump can never win the big game he had 5 and NFC championship appearances one Super Bowl appearance lost them all then Patrick Mahomes came to Kansas City lost in the AFC Championship his first year as a starter it was a second year as a chief sometimes you just need one Superstar the 49ers have extremely good players someone even say Stars buddy Superstar is rare if you were to fire Shanahan someone will pick him up like we did Andy Reid he wouldn't even beyond the market for more than 10 minutes

Field goals don't win you football games. Also why didn't they elect to give Mahomes the ball first and trust the defense. Instead they let Mahomes drive down the field to walk it off

The team signed him for 6 more years i think, so he's staying whether people like it or not. He a good coach, but he always gets in his own way in these big games. Andy reid was able to do it, but thats because of mahomes. If he continues to not learn from his past mistakes, idk if kyle will ever win it. What no one is mentioning is that the cheifs beat themselves up in the 1st half. The 49ers defense wasn't as good as people make them out to be. Sure they made plays, but they also allowed big plays. In the first half they gave up a 53 yard bomb to mecole hardman which could have resulted in a touchdown if it weren't for the isiah pocheco fumble. Number two giving big plays to mahomes and kelce. was it really flawed to fire the defensive coach

Reid choked in the playoffs multiple times and never won a SB without Mahomes. Moreover, there are bad HC who got carried and won, (cough cough*) Mike McCarthy.

And as a fan we have the right to feel how we feel whether or not we agree. Winning is cool, but this is the best team and should have won the Super Bowl TWICE under Kyle Shanahan.

Bruh, I believe the #16 is retired. Also you're confusing what conservative is. Conservative would have been to run the ball on third and 4. Shanahan decided to call pass plays. A conservative game plan would have been the better choice. 49ers have the best running back, full back, blocking tight end and left tackle, they needed to run the ball to the left and pick-up the first down. Worst case scenario you dont make it, you then kick the field goal.
Hard nose football is what was needed down in the red zone, run the ball down their throat.
Obviously no one will ever wear 16 again for the 49ers, but it was a joke since Kaepernick wore 7, Garoppolo wore 10, and Purdy wears 13. It's going up by increments of 3 each time they make it to the Super Bowl.
