When I was a kid, my dad drove for a refrigerated motor carrier based in Oklahoma.
Well, when he came home, he parked the tractor trailer in his usual spot, unfourtenly the ground had been more saturated than he relized and he was unable to pull out.
So, a wrecker was called. My dad told us kids to get in the house incase the cable snaped. Bein me, I compromised while he was working with the wrecker operator, and stood on the porch.
I still rember seing those cables become quite taught, and the uncertainty of the sufficiency of the durability of the cables and after a bit, with the rucker puling the cables in and my dad doing his part to move the tractor trailer, he and the wrecker driver were able to free his rig.
