"It was distressing to me how you did not have the choice to just walk out there and say fuck you. The only thing you could do was to ignore it" Isn't this how most things in Skyrim worked? Joining the companions. Becoming a werewolf. Joining the Thieves Guild. You never really had the option to say, "no, that's not like my character, I'm not going to do this". All you could do was ignore it and have an unfinished quest in your diary
trafo60 god bless the modding community for making workarounds for finishing companions without becoming a werewolf, and being able to clean out your quest log.
Thieves Guild is definitely the most egregious for this. The other examples here are by-the-by. Aela can be ignored after the giant fight, so while the game does try to push you to the companions, it can be rejected. After that, no companion will bother the player to join. But for the love of Talos, Riften is turned into a game of cat and mouse by the fact Brynjolf will NOT ignore the player, and will be relentless in pursuing you. Even disengaging the conversation doesn't work, it still creates a quest marker to speak with Brynjolf fully. For every character of mine that isn't a thief, the riften market is a no-go zone.

Option to not kill the Emperor for the darkbrotherhood line, Langourwine blade? The one from Oblivion you use to fake Mortierre's death. Then he just disappears as a vagrant. Some drunk old bum in a tavern in a backwater whose always spouting "I used to be Emperor you know"
Overall I agree 100% that there should be more choices and consequences in the daedric and faction quests. I'd like to see an option to work with the Vigilants to destroy all the daedric shrines and/or artifacts. If you completed all of them, somehow you become the leader of the Vigilants or get some other great reward.
Also the rewards for the daedric quests tended to be very poor. Too many typical quests, go fetch, help us with X in cave Y. The quild quests were pretty good though. I also like the Vigilants, but they seemed to have not had time to do anything with them.
I wish the cool gear wasn't only daedric. I wish there was more unique items in skyrim, nothing as lame as getting a sword named "Harbinger of Storm Death" that turns out to be a steel greatsword with an enchant to do 10 damage to health and 5 to magicka.

Their RPG's these days are weak and there's no choice, no real role play. They should stop pretending they are making RPG's anymore. They should just make straight up FPS games, they've already done that with the Terminator games they made and they were pretty good. I'd rather not have a gameplay style at all included, as opposed to have a watered down lame imitation of what the genre is.
Mankar Camoran in Razor form condescending to the player throughout the game could be legitimately brilliant or, at worst, hilarious, depending on how it were implemented. Kill Alduin with Mankar Camoran and the Razor shouts "Nu-Mantia! Liberty!"
Thank the divines you touched on the thieves guild initiation. I was playing a Dragonborn with a thief background, but honestly I was insulted by the approach and kinda wished I could go tell the guards on that guy. I always thought that a decent alternative for joining the guild could have been getting to the Ragged Flagon on your own, a task that would have been way harder and more fulfilling with your take on it. In Oblivion, I mean it wasn't like video game Oscar worthy writing that saw you joining the guild but it was definitely far more interesting to me, and in Skyrim it just felt so "meh". Like "Hey we're here! You can join, or not. You know whatever you want. We don't want to be pushy. Sorry our recruiter was so creepy." Also, just a side thing I'd love to hear your ideas for improving or expanding the Potema resurrection side quest. That was probably one of the most interesting side quests to me and it felt like it had a lot of potential, but then it's just over. If you already did this then I'm sorry, I did just start with this video, but I am going back, cause I also wanna hear your version of Ulfric, cause he was, in my opinion, the BIGGEST missed opportunity of the whole game.
Surprised that you didn't rewrite Hearthstone "That pot? We give it a better backstory. You don't just get it in your house, you have to trace the pots blood(ore)line back to the Dawn era."
"We're completely redesigning the house building system. No longer can you simply just 'go to the lumberjack to buy logs,' no no no, far too simple. You have to make sure that Falkreath (assuming we're talking about the Lakeview Manner in this case) is under control of the Civil War faction you support in order to gain the ability to purchase said logs. There are going to be 6 different quests in general for each faction in order to gain the support of the lumberjacks."
this but unironically he'll probably like "well i like the idea but, lets add more feature where you can capture a fortress, cave,or outpost and claims it as your homebase.on the other side most fortress and outpost are no longer entirely invested by hostiles.instead, there will be guards home, imperial outposts, and stormcloak barracks to makes the world diversed and populated.also npc can do the same by attacking other's fortress including yours too!"

zaric, you should do something like this with the universe you are currently building, explaining what you'd do with a video game from said universe if you had unlimited time and resources.
The Talos lineage could work, it would have to made clear that the child was a male and married a Nord, as races pass from the mother. That said, I don't think the whole "destabilize the Stormcloaks" would work, as they're already pretty tight with the Dunmer in Skyrim. The hardliner Nords would scoff and deny it, saying "that's just some hearsay, something to keep the dark elves happy" while the Dunmer would be all "Barenziah!", further cementing their support of Ulric. Also, I totally wanted to backstab Karliah and the Thieves Guild and just keep the Skeleton Key. Betraying Moley Ball would have totally been my choice, had it been possible.
A company that listens to its serious critics will find ways to improve A company that works with its critics will not only improve, it will innovate . I'm not saying they have to listen to every critic, but imagine if they heard Zaric's ideas. Something like this doesn't hurt the series because the motive is to improve it, not minimize it. They could seriously take on some serious outside perspective. Hire high profile modders and lore kings like Zaric who could only help improve this great fantasy world.
They would take his ideas then ruin them, they would suck all that's good about the ideas straight out and implement some incredibly dumbed-down, hollow version. Would be a waste in my opinion.
A few points about the blades quest line. Firstly it would be nice if sky haven temple changed as you progressed. you as the player could spend some of your funds to speed the process up and add specific things but simply as you completed quests for them and they rose in prominence their base would be cleaned out and made to look alive. More NPCs would gather, various services and stations like blacksmith, alchemy, beds ect. Especially if at some point you came into the light as an your own faction making a bid for the throne supporters would begin to congregate there, they would make homes in the temple and at its base, some would being their families, sections of the walls would be painted and the floors covered in carpets and furs. Secondly it would be good that if you were already part of the way through one of the civil war lines you could gather support from within your chosen faction. If you have a good enough persuasion skill and complete several quests you might be able to get one of the faction leaders to submit to you and allow you to be king, you maybe able to persuade Tullius that you have a better claim to the throne than the watered down Mede dynasty and Ulfric that a united Skyrim and Cyrodiil made for a stronger resistance against the Altmer and that you could safe guard the old religion, plus maybe beating him in a duel. If you weren't capable of doing that you could at least get some of the commanders of forts you'd saved or captured to defect to you along with some of the Holds.
I really hope that Bethesda sets TES VI in Black Marsh. I feel like, with the exception of Shivering Isles, the series has fallen back into the traditional fantasy mold. Morrowind did a perfect job in distinguishing TES as this unique and alien fantasy world, but with Skyrim and Oblivion, you just don't get that feeling. I think Bethesda really needs to go back to when this world was unique and alien, and with what little we know or have seen of Balck Marsh, I feel that's the best setting to do it in.
Most of black marsh is uninhabitable to non-argonians so the black marsh would be horrible for a main series game. I personally would like to see one set in elsweyr or hammerfell
This idea of a better Dawnstar museum quest is like the coolest thing I’ve ever heard. I’ve actually lost sleep over fantasizing over how much I ADORE that. Like it gives me shivers how awesome it is!!!! 😍😍😍😍
Just sat through all of these, and it's been a hell of a ride. I love this giant nerd and his love for this series and I wish that the time and complexity of making a game as fun as Skyrim, but still allow for the creativity and world building he proposes
You know, you are just describing what I had been waiting before Skyrim release. Even your idea about beginning with the masked Ulfric in Helgen is so interesting.
This ideal Skyrim is what we want but not what we deserve. The Elder 6 is not going to this good. Bethesda doesn't care about story or choices and consequences. Zaric does, alas he won't be singing up to put Bethesda in line. We will continue to get watered down action games. Instead of fleshed out rpg games. It's the Bethesda way unfortunately.
I've binged all your what if skyrim was good - vids. There are some really great ideas in it, some that I would absolutely adore if the vanilla game featured them. But what I love most about those videos is how enthusiastic and excited you get!
I just wanted to let you know I think you're work is fantastic, showing amazing insight into the lore and what the fans really enjoy about the elder scrolls series. If you ever feel like redesigning some of the other deadric quests, I could watch you all day! Thank you for being intelligent, yet passionate in your judgments, I really wish we could have someone like you at Bethesda, ensuring the lore and immersiveness isn't compromised!
I agree with most of your ideas, I too hated the Molag Bal quest for exactly the same reasons. As this seems to be your last video on this series I'll just point out a few ideas for alternate quests/questlines I'd expand on: An anti-Thieves Guild questline: They make a big deal in Riften about the Thieves Guild's presence and Maven Black-briar. I think there were plans at some stage from the dialogue to have a Mjoll the Lioness/Temple of Mara/Merchants questline to remove the Black-briars and Thieves Guild completely. My version would involve quests to unify the groups, undermining the corrupt Riften guard and storming the Ratway and the Ragged Flagon. Depending on player choices you could: - get your people's alliance to support Laila Law-Giver but remove the corrupting influence of Maven Black-briar and Anuriel (requires a speech check, and they both have public executions). Laila then betrays you at the first chance unless you pass a speech check, but Unmid Snow-Shod and the rest of the Black-Briars still want you dead. - Storm the keep and kill Laila, Maven and Anuriel (in battle or public execution), if you do this you can choose who takes over Riften, nominating a jarl: the player, Mjoll, Aerin or Bolli. Or you can choose to put the Temple of Mara or a council in charge. Depending on the state of the civil war they or you can choose a side, and the leadership affect who benefits and how much things improve. They also give different benefits to the player. Also: A Forsworn questline which ends with an independent Reach. A vampire/evil questline where you side with the Wolf Queen Potema, and overthow Solitude. Maybe ties into the vampire side of the Dawnguard DLC?
I just spent my whole afternoon watching all of these videos and they make me happy to know that I'm not the only one who thought of these things as they played through Skyrim
Maybe there's a possibility that Mehrunes opened oblivion gates on Yokuda or Akavir or Atmora. Tamriel isn't the only area the daedra are concerned about.

Man, I truly love this video series (and the thought and creativity that you have put into it). I will be truly bummed when it comes to an end. Kudos! Great job.
Im loving these revisions. This game could've been so intricate and detailed. And all of this is pretty much within the established lore. Smudboy did something similar with the Mass Effect series, and it was almost as good as these. Good stuff, man.
Well not in its current form, but I have no doubt you would be able to come up with a badass version of it! Like you build your house and then it turns out to be the burial site of an atmoran lich king or something
I wanted the Molag Bal quest to turn out to be a secret romance between Boethiah and Molag Bal. Where the priest of Boethiah was like Boethiah's wingman.
Your content is amazing and I've been watching all of your videos since I discovered your channel, but I don't even know why I enjoy it. Keep up the great work.
once again, loved it. Still love vanilla (er...modded vanilla Skyrim...heavily modded *cough*) but I would buy your version of it in a heartbeat. You've integrated the lore in a way that, for me, neither feels forced nor disjointed or like information dumping. It's awesome. Again, I am sad I will never be able to play this.
You made a very good point at the end. The game should be focused and revolved around the gameplay itself, not the cannon. As a huge Halo universe fan, I can't agree more. Overall it was really fun to listen to your idealized version of Skyrim. It should have gave players more choices and options as you suggested multiple times on the vids.
The Mede Dynasty was at least 3 generations long, seeing as Titus Mede I's son and heir was Attrebus I. Titus Mede II was Attrebus' descendant. Though given that the Mede have ruled for 184 years there have probably been many more Emperors of the Dynasty.
I feel like the blades base should be a fully usable base including a museum/collection type thing for all the artifacts and there should be bases like these for many factions and whatever people you can serve or lead
Given that last bit, I'd love it if you teamed up with a writer and did novels for TES. Without gameplay mechanics in the way, we'd get some truly awesome stuff out of you.
Zaric, i loved your series. i've watched all of your "what if skyrim was good" videos as well as a few others, and i like how your brain head works. i certainly wish that skyrim was at least *close* to what you came up with. it's a fun game. i played it on the xbox 360 for ~300 hours, then i played it for a century on the pc. but, i knew from the beginning that there were flaws with it. and i'm not talking about that one rock to the west of whiterun that you can look under to see into the void. hm. i mean the lack in choices. the increase in graphics wasn't worth the loss of choice in my opinion. i loved oblivion for doing that. i loved that you had to have a conversation in order to advance to the next part of a quest rather than picking the one available choice. anyway, i'm done rambling for now. g'day.
@18:05 - YES! I absolutely HATE that Brynjolf always approaches you at the Riften markets. It doesn't make any sense for a secretive organization to just recruit some random person who stumbled into town for the first time. It also makes it a serious pain just to shop in Riften with characters which I don't want to join the Thieve's Guild. So frustrating!
Absolutely fantastic as always I enjoyed all of your alterations to the Skyrim world and I really wish we had the Temple of the Old Kingdom instead of the current stuff.
25:32 I thought the vigilant guy was possessed by Molag Bal? this reminds me of a mod epic restoration where's one of the spells called "repent" was to break all the daedric influences and purposely failed their quest. I was thinking if you have become an adept either in Imperial Cult, Nordic Pantheon, or the cult of Juhnal. You will be able to learn a spell to dismantle any daedric powers. However, this spell was pretty hard to cast as it takes about 10 seconds to finally cast it. So you have to struggle to cast this spell while the vigilant guy keeps hitting you until you saved him and break the spell. same goes to the Meridia's beacon, you could destroy the beacon by casting the spells and purposely failed her quest.

I really enjoyed this series of videos. As I said in a previous video, I had to listen to them a little bit at a time because it was painful to compare the Skyrim describe here to the one Bethesda released: this version is a roleplayer's paradise while Bethesda's was more like a cardboard diorama. The pain comes from knowing it will never be. Zaric Zhakaron, I do wish you were employed at Bethesda. Not as a writer but rather in some position that has as much authority over the TES games developement as the game designer. As you said, they do make great sandboxes/worlds and I wouldn't want that to change, but I'd want you to be the guy in charge of making those awesome sandboxes actually have meaningful content.
A really talented modder should use your ideas and craft a "Zaric's Ideal Elder Scrolls 5" mod. I know your mechanics and world-building ideas can't really happen with engine limitations and whatnot, but goddamn your storyline rewrites are so well thought out that I would actually pay full price for a game like that.
nice of you to explain why your fan fiction couldn't go anywhere, I like to hear how 'the core basis' works (if that's a term you could use to describe it). I'm not to educated on where to look for these things, so they way you put it creates a great image in my head. Love this series and your content please keep it up.
What a vision of that Merhunes Dagon quest, ha ha. The Barenziah thing is also a neat throwback. I think a better way to join the Thieves Guild would be something similar to what they did for Oblivion. You simply attempt to pickpocket or succeed in stealing and pickpocketing and because the Thieves Guild has eyes and ears everywhere, especially in Riften, only THEN would Brynjolf come to you and give you the offer of participating in his con. If they observe potential in you, then it would make sense for him to ask you to cooperate in this scheme. They'd like to recruit because they have fallen on hard times, so they see this potential master thief they can profit from and test you out. As it is now, he just approaches basically anyone. Like you could be armed to the teeth in Imperial armor and he'd still ask you to steal the ring while he distracts. Like...what? Does this look like a thief to you?
You version of Skyrim is what Skyrim should've been. As I'm listening, I can't tell you how many times I tell myself "that should've been in the game!" Lol
I feel like their should be a named guard commander in riften and you can work with him to put an end to the theifs guild like you could put an end to the brotherhood. The more choices the better
I really like your vision of what Skyrim could be. It would be amazing to play Skyrim as the one you recreated in this series. It's really sad to realize that developers have such limitations. Because nowdays they probably just can't do a broad game like Morrowind, with all the blings today's technology brings etc, because they would have problems with keeping it consistent. I saw an article saying that a huge percent of players don't even finish most of the games they started if they are too long. Hopefully Bethesda will take a note on what games for example, like Witcher 3 brought to the market and I hope that elders scrolls VI will be an step forth and an amazing game overall.
I love this series, but it's also bittersweet. It makes me realize all the untapped potential in these games that I love, and while I may have enjoyed them, they'll never have reached their full potential.
I don't really agree with having to kill off Elisif or General Tullius from the blades quest, you should, (if you side with the empire) be able to spare them and go through with the moot and then have the blades "Eliminate" any opposer's to you being elected high king, and then bam you're the high king of skyrim, achievement unlocked.
Alternatively Blades path could split between elimination and building up legitimacy with your faction. I recall strange gem quest. Lets just say it wasn't gems from Barenziah's crown but shards of amulet of kings and you would have to remake it to finalize legitimacy path.
+Impaleification I actually did not expect Bethesda to actually put much effort into tying in skyrim with the beautiful lore of the first four main games, considering how ~casual~ they made skyrim be.😂

31:50 Shrine of Dagon should have been more obscure and smaller and of course, have some worshippers to overwatch the shrine. Also, you should have an option to double-crossed Silus by telling the vigilant AFTER he restored the Razor. However, the Vigilant will be suspicious with you also because you didn't reported soon enough
Problem with Ulfrics Lineage quest. The offspring of Talos and Barenziah would have been a dark elf not a Nord. The children of mix species pairing would always look like the mother.
Zaric Zhakaron I understand that he's a descendant of that child but why would Barenziah give her dark elf son to a Nord family and not another Dark Elf family? Was she hoping that her son would find a lovely Nord woman to have children with?
I've noticed, and I'm going oin between the lines, your own value of Skyrim perfected is beyond Oblivion and your going far out to tie Skyrim in many ways to be the pinnacle or finale of the franchise, is this because you see Skyrim's potential to be the best in the series but failed?
I was talking about this on my livestream as I play a khajiit but there are no khhajiit you can marry, and whats more my character is female so by game lore my characters child would be a khajiit, and it got me thinking would the moons still effect a nord/khajiit chind or would they just inherit the mothers details, same with say a Breton/argonian mix, does an argonian mix chind need the hist?
Lexx Alolia As long as the mother is Khajiit the childs form will be determined by the phases of the moons. Tho it would be funny for a Nord father to walk in after the birth and see either a small feral cat or a sabercat cub in the mothers arms.
I knew it! I'll be sure to read up on this. I'd love to see some stuff about this on youtube. I think your fans might like to see it too - maybe a Skyrim build inspired by a particular character in your world?
They should have done a dlc of the absent islands of skyrim: Olenveld, the Necromancer Island, that is covered in graves and could have a questline tying it into Mannimarco and Revenant. Roscrea, a larger island in the Sea of Ghosts, closer to Atmora. It could have Sea Giants and have a naval focus. Bleakrock Isle, an island between Morrowind and Skyrim inhabited by Nords. Kyne's Aegis, an island fortress that could be built up to protect against Stormcloak privateers or a base for them. And finally, a visit to Atmora to look for relics.
Add a faction in Markarth: The College Of The Voice. It was established by Tiber Septim, and it teaches Tongues, who are sought after by both Stormcloaks and Imperials.
When you culminate all of the power obtained throughout the story line, you have created e.g. dragon born and dawnguard dlc's, the dragon born becomes too overpower in my opinion. However i do love how your ideal elder scrolls was made to allow game play and lore to compliment each other. In fact they're both blatantly improved.
A new hand touches the beacon. Listen. Hear me and obey. A foul darkness has seeped into my temple. A darkness that you will destroy. Return my beacon to Mount Kilkreath. And I will make you the instrument of my cleansing light.
You outdo yourself Zaric my man. Any other games you plan on doing a "What if _____ was good?" series on? Perhaps Fallout 4 maybe? You can craft one hell of a story and this series is top tier content.
Hmm, no option to become a Werebear? Either through a random encounter or the same Glenmoril Witch questline? I like your ideas regarding Molag Bal's quest, apart from the start. The option to leave the house without killing the Vigilant of Stendarr at the start would really emasculate Molag Bal's power. He's sealed the door shut, there's no way to break it down or try to unlock it, you leave when he desires. Unless you're thinking of changing his dialogue/motivations to something along the lines of, "Kill him... if you have the stomach for it" and when you leave he says "Oh pathetic mortal, too afraid to get your spotless hands bloody." But apart from that, giving the player the choice of betraying him while away from the house is a solid one.
"It was distressing to me how you did not have the choice to just walk out there and say fuck you. The only thing you could do was to ignore it"
Isn't this how most things in Skyrim worked?

Liberty!"
oh god... that would be GOLD
Sorry our recruiter was so creepy."
Also, just a side thing I'd love to hear your ideas for improving or expanding the Potema resurrection side quest.
Surprised that you didn't rewrite Hearthstone
"That pot? We give it a better backstory. You don't just get it in your house, you have to trace the pots blood(ore)line back to the Dawn era."
"We're completely redesigning the house building system. No longer can you simply just 'go to the lumberjack to buy logs,' no no no, far too simple. You have to make sure that Falkreath (assuming we're talking about the Lakeview Manner in this case) is under control of the Civil War faction you support in order to gain the ability to purchase said logs. There are going to be 6 different quests in general for each faction in order to gain the support of the lumberjacks."

zaric, you should do something like this with the universe you are currently building, explaining what you'd do with a video game from said universe if you had unlimited time and resources.
Chronicles of Rebirth looks awesome to me :)
Betraying Moley Ball would have totally been my choice, had it been possible.
...I still think you should work for Bethesda. You have a lot of good ideas.
Fire Schick, Hire Zaric
A company that listens to its serious critics will find ways to improve
A company that works with its critics will not only improve, it will innovate .
I'm trying to make that rhyme more than it already does in my head.
They would take his ideas then ruin them, they would suck all that's good about the ideas straight out and implement some incredibly dumbed-down, hollow version. Would be a waste in my opinion.
+IgnatzKolisch Yeah, I feel he'd be more at with Obsidian, inXile, or CD Projekt Red. You know, developers who actually know how to make rpgs.
been playing morrowind and now i understand every change you have made in this series
I personally would like to see one set in elsweyr or hammerfell
i second Black Marsh actually. imagine having to actually worry about poison for any reason other than failing 2 IQ traps.@@Dust514rocks

Awesome ideas man, i'd definitely play this version of Skyrim
As this seems to be your last video on this series I'll just point out a few ideas for alternate quests/questlines I'd expand on:
An anti-Thieves Guild questline: They make a big deal in Riften about the Thieves Guild's presence and Maven Black-briar.
Depending on player choices you could:
- get your people's alliance to support Laila Law-Giver but remove the corrupting influence of Maven Black-briar and Anuriel (requires a speech check, and they both have public executions).
Also:
A Forsworn questline which ends with an independent Reach.
A vampire/evil questline where you side with the Wolf Queen Potema, and overthow Solitude. Maybe ties into the vampire side of the Dawnguard DLC?
Not bad.. the little bit about Barenziah had me chuckling because there's a whole thing about that with Karliah from the Thieves Guild.
Wy is this not a 50 part series?
Darkfox Bill Time and patience?
I just spent my whole afternoon watching all of these videos and they make me happy to know that I'm not the only one who thought of these things as they played through Skyrim

I seriously can't wait for Hearthfire
Well not in its current form, but I have no doubt you would be able to come up with a badass version of it! Like you build your house and then it turns out to be the burial site of an atmoran lich king or something
it would either not exist or already be in the full game
this is an awesome series, I wish there were more though
I wanted the Molag Bal quest to turn out to be a secret romance between Boethiah and Molag Bal. Where the priest of Boethiah was like Boethiah's wingman.
Last time Molag Bal get married to a Good Daedra he got his dick bit off. Pretty sure Stonefire won't put his dick in one of them anymore.
i wish someone could turn this in to an overhaul mod because this just sounds soo good

once again, loved it. Still love vanilla (er...modded vanilla Skyrim...heavily modded *cough*) but I would buy your version of it in a heartbeat. You've integrated the lore in a way that, for me, neither feels forced nor disjointed or like information dumping. It's awesome. Again, I am sad I will never be able to play this.
we need a petition to have zaric's ideas for elder scrolls six to be at least most of the story of tes 6
well this was nothing other than amazing. It completely fixes all the problems that I had with the game. great work
Loved this series, cheers Zaric!
This series was great. I hope we get more of it, with other BGS games
Loved your series and the Comments and the End!
*Plays through Zaric's idealised blades questline.
Delphine turns to you and says ''Go kill Paarthurnaax, hes a threat to your claim to the throne!
me: gives throne to paarthunaax out of spite
So you have to struggle to cast this spell while the vigilant guy keeps hitting you until you saved him and break the spell. same goes to the Meridia's beacon, you could destroy the beacon by casting the spells and purposely failed her quest.
brand new sub, liked every video ive watched so far on this channel. I have only liked around 100 videos in my entire life and having thousands of hours worth of video watched... you my friend. inspire me to create games.
22:46 have an option to ran away with the skeleton key basically betrayed the entire thieves guild.consequences, the thieves guild would attempt to kidnap your wife, husband,or daugther if you have one for the exchange of the keys. The thieves guild will ambushed you when you wait, sleep,or fast travel. And can only be stopped by having a parley with the thieves guild and give back the keys to Karliah.Or,rushing in through the Ragged Flagon and kill all the thieves guild members. After destroying the thieves guild, the Jarl of Riften congratulates you and helped you track some of the survivors who's hiding throughout the cities of Skyrim or hideout in wilderness as a form of radiant bounty quest
"I'm not talking about the ESO Cold Harbor. That can go f* off." *spit-take*
A really talented modder should use your ideas and craft a "Zaric's Ideal Elder Scrolls 5" mod. I know your mechanics and world-building ideas can't really happen with engine limitations and whatnot, but goddamn your storyline rewrites are so well thought out that I would actually pay full price for a game like that.
Good imagination and writing Zaric. If such depth is employed, it greatly enhances the replayability.
nice of you to explain why your fan fiction couldn't go anywhere, I like to hear how 'the core basis' works (if that's a term you could use to describe it). I'm not to educated on where to look for these things, so they way you put it creates a great image in my head.
Love this series and your content please keep it up.
Hey Zaric, I knoe you spend a lot of time with this series but I really like it when you're in front of the camera and we can see you.
As I'm listening, I can't tell you how many times I tell myself "that should've been in the game!"
Lol
Great job on this one, yet it's bad it's over now. Still looking forward to the ES6 episode.
I feel like their should be a named guard commander in riften and you can work with him to put an end to the theifs guild like you could put an end to the brotherhood. The more choices the better
I like how the Blades sort of turn into a Yes Man, but in skyrim. I kind of wondered why they weren't like that originally
Hopefully Bethesda will take a note on what games for example, like Witcher 3 brought to the market and I hope that elders scrolls VI will be an step forth and an amazing game overall.
someone needs to do all of this in a mod of some sorts, but instead of one mod it would be multiple
This was a really cool to listen too love the ideas you have
Wow this is insane, great work!
This series really raised my expectations for tes 6 and yes I know it's only fan fiction but still
For some reason I seem to remember being able to refuse Molag Bal.
I read the real bahrenziah and when he said that ulfric is a descendant of her, my spine tingled.
+Impaleification I actually did not expect Bethesda to actually put much effort into tying in skyrim with the beautiful lore of the first four main games, considering how ~casual~ they made skyrim be.😂
+NickTheDumbass a little late but all 3d elder scrolls are casual
Technically they are all 3d, but after daggerfall it was all downhill but early on, the "rpg" element was definitely there and it was good,
+NickTheDumbass yeah but the game play wasn't there at all for me I have to use mods to improve and even then I just can't wait for skywind
Hey Zaric, I only discovered your channel recently. Great content, I'm very interested in what you have to cover for the Ideal ES 6

Zaric Zhakaron
Eh alright. Was just wondering what the full story to that would have been.
Lexx Alolia
As long as the mother is Khajiit the childs form will be determined by the phases of the moons. Tho it would be funny for a Nord father to walk in after the birth and see either a small feral cat or a sabercat cub in the mothers arms.

Zaric, I don't know how you're able to come up with such vast ideas and flesh them out so well. Have you ever tried world building for yourself?
I knew it! I'll be sure to read up on this. I'd love to see some stuff about this on youtube. I think your fans might like to see it too - maybe a Skyrim build inspired by a particular character in your world?
They should have done a dlc of the absent islands of skyrim:
Olenveld, the Necromancer Island, that is covered in graves and could have a questline tying it into Mannimarco and Revenant.
It’s easy to put down on paper but its very difficult to develop content of this size and scope.
"I'm not talking about the ESO Coldharbour that can fuck off" mood
Gonna wait for "What if Elder Scrolls 6 was good?" after the game comes out.
