I set my midget up with the same setup you do in this video and I’ve finished top 5 both races since then. Really good setup for beginners. Would love you get an updated setup vid. 🤘🏼
Great video, great setup. I smashed the subscribe button. I wasn't faster, but was instantly more comfortable running right on the wall at Eldora with this. Then I put the stagger down, pushed in the right rear a little, reset the ride heights and even better. Calling this a solid baseline is an understatement.
Hello Tommy This is a great setup and instruction advice video. The set up handles better and is .3 sec faster than the 'professional' set I bought! I am an old sprint car racer but In my opinion dirt racing a Midget is the best racing of any dirt cars on the iracing program. thank you for your help!!!! Dick Talley
Thanks for putting this together. I’ve been running the limaland base with shock and fuel changes. Never touched the ride height (which for fuel load) which I knew was wrong. Put your set in and went out in a test,20% and turned a 12.673 , a hundredth off my best( qual lap) and this has more fuel. Car feels better, stability is there, the car can be maneuvered better, which will help in the official races. Bunch of squirrels out there. Ran 4 races this week and got jacked in 3. That’s why in 12 years in iracing i normally run leagues only.
So, when you lower/raise the fuel just adjust the ride height to be at the same # you have in this video. And as the track changes, slicks off adjust stagger and wheel spacing accordingly.
I’m looking to buy some more dirt content soon and wondering which car to pick up. The dirt midget or the modified? The midget looks like a ton of fun but I’m just not sure which has more participation.
Im doing an open wheel masterclass for free in my school of sim racing private facebook group. We'll be doing usac midgets and sprints starting next week.
I run a midget for real .This stuff is true to real .This guy has figured out what it takes thousands in parts to learn
Man a comfortable car to drive makes such a big difference thanks for this
Used this setup and immediately improved.

once again never dissapoints
I found very helpful. Car was more stable and could use less wheel input and had fast lap times. Thanks for the vids
Your welcome. I'm glad it helped you.
Thanks so much! Very Helpful!
What do I do for the chili bowl when the car just stops turning mid turn
This is an amazing setup! I went from a 13.1 to a 12.8-12.9
Edit: Just ran a 12.722
Nice work!

Good video but this kinda explains how to setup at limaland and not giving me an understanding what things do on “how to set up a dirt midget”
Tommy Hit me up I have a serious challenge for you on setting up a new car.
