Coincidentally, i was talking with a group of friends about old shows we use to watch, and nobody seemed to remember Bonkers. It was definitely in my top 3-5 favorite cartoons growing up. It's nice to see someone else who appreciates it as well.
This dude has worked so hard on his UA-cam channel and I’ve been watching for about a year now and he deserves all his new subscribers with his hard work and dedication
Sege vids always trip me out cause so many of the chuckle heads I hang out with at events are in them. I've still gotta get my coverage of this event together. What a fun event! Really dope pick ups.
You have done that intro monologue like what, a hundred times now? I'm impressed that it never gets repetitive, robotic or stale. Like, it sounds fresh and sincere each time. Even though you say the exact same thing, it doesn't sound like it. To me it's proof that this channel exists because of actual passion. Just wanted to take a moment and appreciate that lol.
i’m diggin’ the new format with the transitions and ‘did you knows’. i’ve been struggling pretty hard with depression recently and in turn have a lack of motivation to get out and go to my local thrift shops, but every time i watch your videos i get inspired to continue the hunt! thanks rick
Great video Retro Rick. I enjoy seeing all these vintage toys and games. Great event looks like tons of fun and a lot of great people. I’m glad a lot of people were showing you love and blessed you with some gifts. I’m. Sucker for NES so my favorite pickups were those home alone boxed games. Great deal. Looking forward to the next.
After watching this video when you guys all gathered up at the arcade made me miss the late 80s and early 90s; in essence, I miss my childhood and this video gave me that nostalgic feeling. Thanks Rick!
Super cool vid, Remy Lebeau has always been my dude. Glad to see another fan, trying to get my room set up for vids of hunts and eBay sales and repairs in. You keep me motivated to push forward, thank you for keeping it fun and real.
So I have been inspired by your channel and just went by a Salvation Army for the first time today on the hunt! Found a PS3 The Bigs 2 for $4 complete that is selling for $15-$18 on ebay. Super hyped to hit such a good flip on my first time out. Then went by Walmart and found some clearance that is good profit. Already listed it all, and even took my oldest son (under 10) along for the hunt. Life lessons! Thanks for the channel and the inspiration.
Man that convention looked sick!! Never been to one. Now I want to go check one out sometime. Also nice pick ups love that DK figure. The Home Alone NES games looked in nice shape. Home alone is one of my favorite movies from my childhood.
You found so many awesome things there. The gameboy color in box, the giant DK figure, the turtle figures, and the freaking He-Man handheld. Super score, I would love all those items. Great finds and great episode! Keep it up Rick!
“Very average place to eat”…that pretty much sums up Quaker Steak and Lube. It’s like a family friendly Hooters that sounds like an oil change place. All of them by me opened and closed within a few months.
@@lilhater.1023 yeah, that is very true. Graded games are just sad lol. But Retro Rick is still kinda supporting WATA since they sent him the Mario bros 3 graded… but at the same time if I was sent a Mario bros 3 cib sealed I would probably do the same if not more lol
I haven't been to a convention yet but always wanted to go to one. Such a great looking place with people all interested in nostalgia from the 80's, 90's and beyond. I think my favorite thing you found had to be that gameboy color in the box. The donkey Kong was a close 2nd for me. Great job with the vid Rick! 👊
One of my favorite items from my early childhood is definitely my Ghostbusters board game. I still have faint glimpses of that year’s Christmas when I got that present. Honestly I had to be only about 5 years old. Such a cool board game with the four rooms and the staircase. Hands down my favorite board games.
I actually have a sealed Pokedex as well! Funny story with it too. My parents had bought it on sale when I was a kid in anticipation to give it to me as a Christmas gift. Before Christmas came they found a used one at a garage sale for cheap so they gave me that (since I was with them when they found it) and forgot about the other sealed one in their closet for years😂 I eventually found it and have held onto it for the past few years and I still have the other used one as well
Haha dude, I know I’m late to the party here, but I meant to say this A YEAR AGO - DUDE, I freakin loved Bubsy as a kid! The puns?! Come onnnnnnn 😆 I still say “what could Pawsibly go wrong?!” in that voice to this day. Great pickup, uh, last year. 😆 (And no me photobombing last year is a plus 😐)
8:10 ToyBiz Marvel action figure, and released really late in ToyBiz's lifespan (they stopped producing Marvel figs in 2006). Toy collectors use the term "mint on card" to describe an unopened action figure. That's a real minty, perfect card and figure.
Woahhh I had that TMNT polly pocket toy when I was a kid. I thought it looked familiar but as soon as you opened it I knew. Wow I completely forgot about that thing.
Honestly, the Goodwills here in South Carolina are all like that. I find things video game related maybe two to three times a YEAR... the drought is insane here. Some local thrift stores have a few gems every once in a blue moon though.
I loved bubsy too! Had it on sega. And i def remember playing that street fighter in the backseat while driving to the beach as a little kid. Also remember opening that pokedex ha. Looks like a great time.
Really cool, I liked those Ronin Warrior action figures your guy Chance had at his booth. Loved that show as a kid, happy it's on Prime for free. Also I remember a lot of series got in on that Polly Pocket style of toys, Mighty Max, TMNT, also Star Trek had some. I had one for Star Trek TNG the Enterprise and I think there a few others for both TNG and TOS.
I was actually in SC during the convention seeing family but I was busy so I didn't get the chance to go to Greenville. Scored a ton of games at the Salvation Army in Irmo though. They had stacks of pretty good 360 and Wii games for only 2.99 a piece
Hi Retro! I thought you might like this, I found a loose Pokedex in a second hand shop for 50p! Then months later I found the backing card from the packaging in my parents attic! 😉
I'm so jealous over the pokedex, that's something I really wanted as a kid. I can't believe he got them so cheap😳 originally. You got a great deal though considering it's hard to find and it was sealed. I love the donkey Kong figure, that dealer was so generous. What a great price plus the TMNTs for 20 Wow he was awesome. 😁😍 I love the gameboy too, I'm always trying to find more Gameboys. I would have picked that up at that. Price too, it was in such great condition. If Conventions ever open up near me I will have to go to one one day 😊
I always wanted to go to a retro gaming convention, unfortunately we don't have alot of video game convention's, swap meets or Flea Markets here in Canada. I had two of the Mighty Max type TMNT toys (Leonardo Turtle base and Baseball Raphael).
Wow, I've got that Pokedex, sealed, awesome that I kept it. That's your best buy from the show Bubsy on Jaguar is great. Wish I didn't sell my Atari Jaguar and games.
I used to play Bubsy on Genesis a lot as a kid too. I know it gets a lot of hate, and I know why, but as a kid it's fun to run around to get to the end of the levels.
My favorite TMNT figure has to be that Leo I got that for my 5th birthday and not sure if you know but on the back of his shell you can blow into it and it makes a sound like one of those party blowers!
great vid rick good to see u having a blast adding to the collection that pokedex was a sweet find abso bargain and that donkey kong is gotta be one of my faves xx
Yeah that DK was a target exclusive and I still have it but it was 20 or 40 when it came out. It was like 2010 or 2011. Something like that. I don’t want any retro toys but sound wave and that DK. That’s all I need.
Thank you for the Bonkers gift man 😍 I really do appreciate it and appreciate you!!!
Coincidentally, i was talking with a group of friends about old shows we use to watch, and nobody seemed to remember Bonkers. It was definitely in my top 3-5 favorite cartoons growing up. It's nice to see someone else who appreciates it as well.
I'm actually really glad you didn't already have that Gambit figure. It was great meeting you!
That Gambit was neat my dude!
Goat

Hey buddy! We’re glad you were able to put that suitcase to good use! It cost us a pretty penny 😉
Sege vids always trip me out cause so many of the chuckle heads I hang out with at events are in them. I've still gotta get my coverage of this event together. What a fun event! Really dope pick ups.
Dude i could sit in your retro room for hours just remembering my childhood nice to watch it grow
Dude!! That’s a goodwill that we go to almost weekly!!
I haven’t seen a video game at my goodwill in years. I go right when they open too. You guys are so lucky to see games in the wild.
Ricky with the deals! For some reason scoring all those turtles figures for $20 I thought was the highlight 😆
“He gave me this, for my son”
-Retro Rick
😀😀😀
Damn that turtle that opens up into a base just triggered a crazy nostalgia hole for me
You have done that intro monologue like what, a hundred times now?

Wow that means so much! Thank you for taking the time to let me know…I really appreciate it!!
Gambit was always my favorite X-Men character too!

Man, I’m so glad the videos are helping Zac! I really appreciate the kind words
I'm so jelly of Gambit! As a little girl my friend would talk about marrying New Kids on the Block.
I'd scoff and say no way, Gambit is where it's at!
Just found your channel. I was born in 86 so early 90s was my toy era. Makes me feel like a child again watching these haha. Good memories.

I'm wearing that same sonic shirt today! :D Awesome pick ups by the way. One day, I hope to visit an event like this.
I loved that Masters of the Universe Handheld. Lots of great memories playing it.

Love the Back To The Future NES game! The artwork alone is just something I love!
Man that convention looked sick!! Never been to one. Now I want to go check one out sometime. Also nice pick ups love that DK figure. The Home Alone NES games looked in nice shape. Home alone is one of my favorite movies from my childhood.
Awesome scores as always!! Can’t wait til next year! It was great finally meeting everyone in person!
You found so many awesome things there. The gameboy color in box, the giant DK figure, the turtle figures, and the freaking He-Man handheld. Super score, I would love all those items. Great finds and great episode! Keep it up Rick!
Looks like you had so much fun through all these videos! Hope to make it next year!
My birthday is coming up and my wife found that birthday Leo to put on my cake. I love the turtles. I'm just a grown kid lol.
Love the Pokedex! I still have mine from when I was a kid that is loose but in fantastic shape. Would love to get some of those early toys sealed.
Shout out to Chance. What a boss to hook up Rick with those sweet deals.
“Very average place to eat”…that pretty much sums up Quaker Steak and Lube. It’s like a family friendly Hooters that sounds like an oil change place. All of them by me opened and closed within a few months.
That TMNT Polly Pocket hit me hard. I had several different versions. Too bad it didn't have the small turtles with their weapon they're so cute!
WATA and Heritage are a SHAM!!
Lol that is true but I just thought it was funny that this was top comment
Kyle S. Is a sham ! Beware
@@lilhater.1023 they are a sham tho
@@winko8484 yea anybody who buys a graded game is a sucker. Many people will still use it as an outlet to make money though 🤙🏼

That donkey kong figure is legit lol. So cool to have big figures like that to display around.
Yup Gambit hands down #1 X-Men ever
Cheers Mate 🇦🇺 felt like I went along with ya lol love the content
that Goodwill you stopped at, is exactly what I see around me. Absolutely nothing!

Love the video. Lots of awesome nostalgia stuff Back to the Future,TMNT, MOTU and Bubsy are awesome. Feels like lots of my favs in one video.
Love your channel. It brings me back to my childhood . You find crazy finds.

Great video, that one guy, think his name was chance, was friggin awsome, what a lovely young man

Goodwills here in the Carolinas are generally terrible - most of their inventory goes to their used game/electronics store in Charlotte, The Grid.
The DK figure is so cool! Looks like you had a lot of fun there!
I’ve been watching you for a couple years now. And I’m super excited to see you but 100k subs and get that play button! let’s go RICK!
Man I got super hype when I saw that Earthbound CIB. As an NC resident I'm pissed I didn't know about it!
I loved bubsy too! Had it on sega. And i def remember playing that street fighter in the backseat while driving to the beach as a little kid. Also remember opening that pokedex ha. Looks like a great time.
I used to have that undercover Donatello.. pretty jealous you found that.
Love this channel. Always a pleasure to see one of your videos. Such great content. cant get enough of it.
That's Space Cadet Raph. They actually did a separate set of astronaut turtles.

That place looks like heaven! All those cartridge games 😍 Wish I was there 🎮
I saw your instagram story about The Pikachu Party VHS, what a coincidence I dug my old one up last week and watched it beforehand!
I've been to that goodwill before. It's always that empty lol
That TMNT Polly pocket is dope! I have a few Pokémon ones from my childhood I love keeping around as well.
Hi retro Rick how are doing my friend and what an awesome finds you found and keep up the great work on your channel.❤️

I used to have one of those Pokedex's. Love the channel. Didn't get to make it to the event. Hope to see you next time.
,my parents bought that game boy color when I was a kid. That exact model!!!
Definitely that DK is the prize of the show!!! Nice find.
I’m from Greenville. That Goodwill hasn’t been good in about 4 years. So picked over always
Great con retro rick. Took me back to good times gameboy color, pokemon pokedex, power rangers and ninja turtles can't beat that #90skid

going to have to get that myself", :)

“He gave me this…. for my son!”
Cool with Gambit figure ! I own his first appearance comic (uncanny X-men 266) that I bought of the rack at cover price when it was released.
That sf handheld is awesome congrats on your success
I had one of those TMNT Polly Pocket things! Totally forgot about those!
I snagged that same donkey kong figure at the flea market for 20$, such a great figure and looks awesome on the shelf.
