I am French and I live in Savoy. I own this Kipplauf Merkel K-5 rifle in caliber 270 Winchester it's pure happiness and how light I hunt in the mountains and a lot in the forest when approaching with a swarovski Z6i scope a 1.7-10-42
Really nice looking rifle and impressive pics. Caliber must be the 7x65R instead of 7x56R which does not exist as far as I know. ;-) Waidmannsheil, Mark (Austrian chamois hunter and guide)
You guys set the bar high with those videos. Great job! I guess the conditions were testing but more for the camera gear than for the rifle. Congratulations Owen, that's a very nice chamois. Keep it up guys!
Thanks so much for the compliments and support. It's great to know the hard work we put into producing these films is enjoyed by our viewers! If you keep watching them, we'll keep making them! :-)
Weidmannsheil👍 good shot, I am envious😃. Also you made a very nice video, the music fits very good and is never disturbing. This is seldom in such videos, congratulations
Awesome video Owen. Well made. Hats off The sorrounding reminds me of my own hunting ground. Steep hill slopes and alpine landscape where we hunt reindeer. Unfortunantely we don't have Gemse in Norway as theys seems to be a real challenge to hunt and are on my list :-) ATB to you and thumbs up.
Stunning hunt! What outfitter? I'm thinking of inviting my old man for a trip of our lives; Chamoir in europe, Sika in Scotland/Ireland, Stag in Scotland or Kaparthian - i cant decide what to do....
Apologies the rifle calibre used for this particular hunt was actually 7x65R. As this video was filmed 4 years ago we were mistaken with the calibre we have now which is the .308w. 👍🏼 Definitely NOT easy just because there is a little mountain stand to view from. Chamois have incredible eye sight, so stalking up and into a shop table position was actually a real challenge. Problem is, the reality of mountain hunting is never truly shown through video, you have to experience it for yourself when you are, excuse the term, blowing out your arse and then having to focus and slow the breathing down for a successful long range shot.
Waidmanns Heil Owen! Well done! May „Kipplauf“ is on the way to become an English word like “Rucksack”. Great filming and perfect music! But you should join the boys training to have better breathing after some steps 😜
Sorry you feel that way. But some shelter? We had been stalking up a mountain side all day and found shelter from the elements in a “hochsitz”, a traditional wooden highseat that is placed on the mountainside to give you better a shooting position on the passing game. We were grateful for that little bit of traditional alpine comfort to give us best opportunity for a safe long distance shot on our chamois. 👍🏽

What bullet did you use?
Mega! Can't seem to find this rifle anywhere! What's the price of these please.
description says 7x56R... it surely is 7x65r however. anyways, nice rifle. a little too easy though with that shooting stand there, lol.

@@CervusUK all good guys, just busting your **** a little... I live in the mountainous part of Switzerland I have my ass kicked here all the time 😂🇨🇭

💯👍🔥
I thought shooting up hill you should shoot slightly low not as you said shoot high great shot dead is dead
Awesome rifle but lame video. Walking around in rain and snow and then cut to shooting from some kind of shelter. What is that?
