probably one of the most intelligent perspectives on wrestling I've ever heard, he understands its a subjective sport/entertainment medium and a match can be 'good' or 'bad' based on the perspective of the viewer, its just a matter of shaping the product in such a way that it can sustain and grow an audience while netting a profit.

I could listen to Freddie talk about his time with WWE for hours, he's simply amazing (also can't forget about the memories with Scooby-Doo in my childhood! 😉), but that story right at the end with his daughter really hit hard. I was raised by a single parent, and my father was a jerk (probably still is). He cheated on my mom and left her with thousands of debt when I was four. Having gone through my own childhood and knowing my experiences, I feel like it would make me a better father to my own kids; as Freddie said, it showed him what to do and what to not do. It sounds so simple, but it goes much deeper than words can truly express.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Arquette were in Scream 2. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddy Prince were in the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" series. And then there were Jennifer Love Hewitt and Special Officer Doofy and the Scary Movie series ..... Man, all those late 90's teenie spooky movies shared some same actors, it's all very confusing. And in the movies Freddy Prince was Love Hewitt's boyfriend, in reality he is Gellar's boyfriend. And Arquette was not Doofy. I thought he was Doofy. ^^

I’m a few years older than Freddie and grew up a fan of his father and the era of Bruce Lee , Muhammad Ali , Richard Pryor and all the things he speaks of in fact i listen to his father on the radio under covers after bedtime on my transistor radio as they were broadcasting The Presidents inaugural ball
My Mom passed away very young around the same time as his father so that time period remains very real and colorful in my mind and i have allot of respect for who Freddie jr has become and of course sharing a love for pro wrestling i obviously enjoy those stories I’d love to hear a bit more of the history of wrestling he grew up on as a fan and what he enjoyed the most and fun stories along the way

freddie prince jr is the national treasure to nerd culture we all deserve (by nerd culture i mean EVERYTHING from games, star wars, wrestling ect) the whole thing about writing for talent as THEM and write things THEY would say, the lack of writers being able to do this is the biggest issue with wwe promos right now! the writers are just writing words, not writing as the character rather they just write some generic shit they think a "pro wrestler" would say. most of those writers has never seen more than a few minutes of wrestling their entire lives b4 getting the job.. if they can hire the writers who could for example, watch tape on whoever they get assigned to write for, truly make an effort to get to kno them on a "no gimmick" personal level during catering or whatever free time they have backstage, then as soon as they feel like they have a good grasp on that individual (real personality AND gimmick) only then should they put pen to paper! or hear me out, let the talent come up with their OWN promos!!! ain't that a novel idea!! il tell u what ain't no one gonna be able to write for john cena as the "thuganomics" character better than cena himself can. stone cold Steve Austin and the rock might never have made it out of the Midcard had they been forced to recite a script!! roman reigns didn't get over until they just let him be. the problem is they don't need stars anymore, stars are bad for business and have too much power.. this is the real reason the show is bad.

Absolutely glued to the screen. FPJ just gave one of the best interviews I've ever seen, holy cow 😄.
And true kudos to you Chris, a great skill not interviewer has, the ability to know when *not* to talk.

This is an awesome interview! Freddie was far more open about his WWE experiences than I expected him to be.
