- This is a playthrough of the story mode of Pac 'n Roll, the 2005 Pac-Man Nintendo DS platformer from Namco. This is NOT a 100% longplay, not featuring the various time trials or Pac Moon hidden levels.
Game was recorded on a 3DS. In World 3 and World 4, I have edited the footage to cut out quite a few deaths.
Pac 'n Roll is a fun little platformer with colorful graphics and a silly, somewhat strange story that seems to explain how Pac-Man first became an adventurer.
The villain has a rock 'n roll theme, presumably as a pun on Pac-Man rolling like a ball. I like the idea of the ghosts summoning a powerful monster of legend, only for them to find out he had been sent away not because he was too dangerous, but because he was a bumbling jerk.
Although initially deep on the easy side, in the later levels the challenge steeply increases. Pac 'n Roll is one of those games that uses the DS touch screen extensively in its control scheme, integrating the handheld's unusual abilities in full. The end result isn't a classic, but still plenty of fun.
Namco later re-released Pac 'n Roll for the Wii with modified controls, but that version removes all the cutscenes for some reason. - Ігри

It is re-made on Wii and Switch, but the story is cut and so is Krystal the Fairy, so really SHE is super underrated
@@PacGuy765 the Switch version is just a straight port of the Wii version. It even rips the menu system straight out of Namco Museum Remix (same with Pac Motos, which was a NCMR original)

Rainbow Strike the Japanese website heavily implies that Pac-Master grows older and becomes Professor Pac and that’s my canon, which also explains how he and Ms. Pac have a good relationship as well as it’s nice to see Pac-Man and his father in-law have a nice relationship

6:00 am just waking up from a nightmare, it made me remember some nightmares I had as a kid... yes this game gave me a nightmare. Dude the thought of someone losing the ability to move at all gave me the chills as a very young kid. To maker even worse they had pac man roll with his head. Like what actual fuck, I thought to myself how does he know where he is moving.

I used to play this so much when a friend from the UK let me play on his DS for a little bit as a kid.

Played the absolute shit out of this on the Wii back in the day, recently dug out my copy of Namco Museum Remix to play again.
Had no context as to what was going on, no story was ever explained.
If anyone wants to give this game a shot the Wii version (Pac n' Roll Remix) is part of the Pac-Man Museum + collection too.

Yeah same. I remember buying this game at Gamestop for my OG DS (I was gifted the DS since someone didn’t want it anymore, Navy Blue color that I liked so much.)
I think I ended up buying Pac n Roll because at the time I had lost one game and I was like welp the one that seemed interesting was this game (I remembered playing a mrs Pac Man slot machine at a Laundry, good memories!) I was young at the time, this was around 2010.
Nostalgia. I also forgot the story, but looking back at it YEARS later, it’s interesting but not that much to it tbh. Some of the OSTs got stuck in my head tho even from years ago xD
I just decided to see a let’s play and to learn the history of Pac Man, I’m taking a trip back in time through my childhood and this was part of it.
The thing I remember most about this game is the baby like sounds pac man makes. Also, this seems pretty impressive for a 2005 game.

The 3rd level in Ghost land is a total nightmare, no joke... Why do I have to wait 20 seconds for the falling platforms to return just to get the knight power up on the right to smash the metal boxes on the left? That's an complete total joke!

I have a theory on why the ghost world was eliminated. The Pac People turned it into Namco Museum Remix and Megamix.

Am I the only one who thinks Pac-Girl should’ve been in World Re-Pac instead of Pac-Mom? Then again, it probably would’ve been risky, since the design is too similar to Ms. Pac-Man.

If you mean when Pac-Man is crossing those teeter-totter bridges, you drag the stylus into the white border around the bottom screen. This turns the border red. At that moment, release the stylus, and Pac-Man boosts. That is, if I remember right
