These are nice pistols. I missed out on some of the really cheap surplus pistols a while back. Very nice video on the mechanics of these and the disassembly.
Thanks brother. Yea, when I was an FFL, I was selling a TON of these pistols. But the surplus market dried up and they are a little harder to get (especially the 85). My wife carries an 85 and this is her "backup 85".
Thanks so much for this video. Invaluable information! I'm intending to do some trigger work on my 87T but having trouble removing that roll pin. This is priceless information. Very grateful.
Great video! Thank you. I am having my Beretta 84bb chrome plated so I had to completely disassemble my gun. I hope to use your assembly video to put it back together.
Glad you fond it helpful. I originally did videos like this because I used to do Cerakote work and it helped customers out. The Trigger pin is the hardest part to put back in on these guns. Not impossible but be prepared for some adult words to come out of your mouth.
Man, do i feel stupid. I watched the reassembly video (prior to you removing it to fix it) before the disassembly video. Great content, as usual. I'll watch anything you want to take apart and put back together!
Thanks for watching both videos! The fixed version of the reassembly video is done being uploaded but will take some time for UA-cam to encode it for viewing. The upload is 11gig and in 4K! Glad you are enjoying the content!
@@TheRogueBanshee look forward to the reassemble video. These are super helpful as I’m a believer in stripping down the gun periodically to inspect and clean. Also gives you a better understanding on how it all works.
My 84b has. Mag disconnect. My 85bb doesn’t . It my 84b was made for American market and imported by Berben imports before beretta imported out of Maryland years later . The 85 bb was not imported when made and issued to Italian police and in 2022 marked for import to USA by beretta themselves.
Thank you so much 😊 I saw it already 👍👍👍 After I saw it I changed the new trigger spring already 😊 My baby 84 F it’s go back to duty now 🥰🥰🥰 Thx again for your sharing 👍👍👍👍
What a great service you provide! Really great references and instructions, all your Cheetah videos! Question- do you believe its needed to modify a shok-buff recoil buffer, like the one wilson combat sells for the beretta 92, such that it fits in my 84F and provides protection against wear to the frame? This was advised to me at the range by someone with experience using the shok-buff product on their 92, but I can't find any evidence that folks are using a modified buffer for thier cheetahs. Thanks in advance!
Honestly, I never believed in the shok-buffs so I never worked with them. The Cheetah is not an extremely popular gun, that is until they re-launched it last year but even then... It is big for a 380 and for that size, you can get a 9mm. Also it is an overpriced gun. That being said, my wife carries an 85 *(this one in the video is one of her spares) and she loves it. If they came out with a 9x19 version of the Cheetah, it would probably be more popular and have more aftermarket support. Sorry to ramble on just to say, I don't know.
Thanks for the great video. I have a couple of nice 85's, and a recently acquired 84F. The 84 shoots great in double action, but doesn't want to go into single action, I get a dead trigger after the first shot. Any thoughts?
Hi, great video. I had my 84fs spit out one of those small springs on the hammer & ejector stop pin. And the other is pretty badly bent up. Wondering where to get them and if it's ok to shoot the gun w/o them? Thanks!
Hi Sir, can you help me pls. i have a beretta 81 2019. but the rear trigger bar part wont engage the hammer each time AFTER i turn on and off the safety. i must push the front trigger a BIT forward (outward) to engage the rear trigger bar to hook the hammer. then it's normal to shoot again. why is that ? is it because of weak trigger spring ? Also, when safety on, when i pull the trigger, it feels CLICKY. when i checked, what's inside, the trigger bar again positioned not low enough so it hits something in there causing a clicky sound. i can send you videos if you have email. thank you for your precious time.
I would love to help you out but for liability reasons, I cannot give advice. You may be on the right track on that trigger spring as that is the only thing pushing the trigger forward. As for the clicking, I would worry about the trigger movement first. It just might solve your second problem. Thanks for watching. Let me know how you make out.
Hi. I'm trying to replace my grips but I don't seem to have a screwdriver with a thin but wide enough head to remove the screws. Can you tell me the make and model of your screwdriver?
I really wished to get me one 81fs but now, I am definitely changing my mind and try to get a M9 .22lr instead since it is way more easier and funnier to disassemble without being an engineer or feel like doing maths in order to open up and clean my gun..hahahaha
The beretta 81 is a good gun... but it is hard to find ANY of the 80 Series out there right now. The one thing I worry about the 81 is that it is 32 cal. Ammo being hard to find now... I doubt you would find any 32. I did a video n the M9 22. That is such a fun gun!
Great video, I recently bought a beretta 85 from Classic Firearms, I really like it but I have noticed that my new magazines sometimes pop loose on their own. Have you ever had this happen or know what the problem might be? Thanks for your help!
@@TheRogueBanshee no, I think I figured it out. Found a burr on one of the new magazines where it laches on the gun inside the grip. Will try it out soon! Thanks
Yea I was working on the upload and accidentally published it before I got a chance to view it. When I viewed it there was a problem. I fixed the problem but now I have to reupload it. It is 11 Gig (filmed in 4k) so it takes a good amount of time. It wasn't supposed to launch until next week but people saw it and keep asking where it is so I will launch it as soon as it uploads.
Thank you sir for this excellent precise video! It’s obvious a lot of effort went into making sure every step is clear and well explained 🙌

I have an 84BB model but the trigger is double action only. I think there may be a broken spring or something wrong with it.
