OMG.....I bought a tube top for a dollar and a bed sheet for 1.20, I got the rafia skirt at dollar tree, and literally had all the paint already. I saw your video on slow motion countless of times and couldn't have been easier. I finished it in one day. Thank you so much for you video. 🌺🌴🌺🌴

Hey! Do you paint the sleeves on the front and back?
I couldn't find Aleene's glue and didn't have time to order. So I used modge podge instead. Worked pretty well! Could find the right shirt so I just bought fabric for my local craft store. I only used half the technique. but...... So happy with DYI thank you so much. My daughter will love it!

What i love about these videos is the amount of effort put in! Awesome! Fun fact though, her 'costume' is actually made out of traditional garments. If you were in samoa, you could make this authentically with no 'glueing' so to speak. :) the top would be an 'ie lavalava, and the bottom is made out of an 'ie toga mixed with a Siapo. :)

Actually, I tried it out and all I had was Velcro, (the white kind) and it worked perfect!

Just asking I am a Moana for a friend's child's birthday and have been going over a multitude of ways to execute
But I prefer to not see if it can be avoided. I lack a server situation and zippers overwhelm me and I don't have a foot for doing buttons lol

Bellinissima hi! Yes you can tie the top like a sarong. I also used a safety pin to make sure it more secure too.
Totally understandable- adding in a zipper can take more time!

I rewatched this part a couple times now but how does it become the inside of the waistband if you glue the top to the bottom.. like do you cut open the other part or what the heck is going on T_T
