Shane Victorino was one of my favorite Phillies of all time, Loved his speed, his offense and his defense.

man with this music I teared up the 08 playoff run is the last games I went to with my mom before she passed away when I was 18. Man I miss that team, 2021 hopefully will bring back some more good memories, Go Phillies!!! edit: I wish the quality back then was better I was literally 5 seats behind where that grand slam ball landed

Gotta love his enthusiasm and effort and genuine sense of giving a shit. That game tying knock against the dodgers is as crucial as the Matt Stairs go ahead shot the next at bat.

That at bat by Meyers against CC was a thing of beauty.. for sure an all time great, yet underrated, moment in Phillies history.

I did the same thing in my early years of baseball, my brother wore number 6 because of howard, We werent allowed to have number higher then 12 so once he got signed Boston i could make a number switch so i stayed with 8 until i got to Babe Ruth league, by that point Victorino was already retired so now i wear #22 for Joey Logano... i was born in 2006, i started playing in 2010 (fall of 2010) my first number was one, for the rest of my baseball life i had #8 (except one or two seasons) I now play Left Field alot too...
I went to a Phillies game in 2011 maybe 2012 cause i think thome hit the homer. i cannot remember who they played but one thing i do remember is a Big home run in the 9th (i could be wrong but someone hit a big home run to Right Field in the second deck) it was a day game where they wore they tanish jerseys.
I went to a Red Sox game in 2015 against the Orioles... Victorino was injured or on the bench that day and i remember between innings holding up signs that said Get well soon Shane
I got my first chance to go back to Citizens Bank Park where we played the Dodgers on July 18th 2019, What a game, we were up in philly for family reunion and we were staying in Ocean City New Jersey, I remember us (me and my dad) going to the airport for the flight to Charlotte with a connection in Myrtle Beach, we were at the Airport until 11:30 our flight was originally right after the game i didn't get home to charlotte until 2 am in the morning. My next goal is to see a flyers or eagles game in philly soon!!!
Glad that they're are people out there like me who like victorino hahaha

    Fun Fact:
Shane Victorino is the only player in MLB history with multiple playoff go-ahead grand slams.

I was at the game when he hit the GS against the Tigers in the 2013 ALCS playoffs while he was playing for the Red Sox. We were sitting in the high 3rd base seats, and being up that high it was still deafening! We could see that the ball was going out of the park before anybody else, and watching that realization move around the park was awesome. It was like a giant wave!

I was at that Scott kazmir thrown pitch in the 08 world series. I remember the ball flying and knew it was gonna drop and go to the fence from the 1st base side out in right. I knew we were bringing the title home that game. Only I SNUCK IN AND IT RAINED LIKE NEVER BEFORE. THEY MADE US ALL LEAVE. In the one time in the history of mlb, the one time I get in to a world series winning game in my entire life, it rained for 3 days and 3 nights biblically. I couldn't chance going back in the bottom of the 6th so I had to watch it at home. I had no ticket. But it was memorable in many ways. Even my fat uncle left me in the pouring rain with his wife and kids, AFTER I SNUCK IN AND THEY COULDNT FIND TIX EITHER, THEY WERE LEAVING, I SAID NO, 8 HOURS, WERE GETTIN IN. I WALKED AROUND FOR A WHILE TO FIND A WEAKNESS, AND FOUND ONE. THEN I CALLED ON THE CELL PHONE, IM IN. Sorry capital letters. Then called them back meet me at so and so. Got em all in. As soon as it started to rain they ran for the car. I was staying. 20 seconds later Itvsays the game has been postponed, my aunt says ok where you at I said almost at the car. They said we're not there yet. I was faster than them so I caught up to them to see them hop in the car and drive away immediately. They wouldn't answer my call. I never had a good relationship with them phonies again. If that's how you see me eff you. Oh none of the other family talks to em either for their own reasons

What about the final out of a game in Atlanta in 2008 when he nailed a runner at the plate for the final out, saving Lidge's perfect season?

At about the 4:35 point is a perfect example of why Chris wheeler was the least favorite announcer year in and year out until comcast demanded he be removed. Couldn’t give Victorino credit for a great play, had to make an excuse for the base runner
Wheeler’s greatest call was keeping his mouth shut when we win the 2008 World Series
