Eugene Burger is one of not only the very best magicians but 1 of the best all around ENTERTAINERS. He is so amazing 2 watch & the performances will leave U with a feeling of Astonishment & WONDER. A lasting EXPERIENCE. Not all entertainers are so MEMORABLE. I was very glad 2 have the opportunity 2 perform at Mystery School & The first WORLD WIDE MAGIC FESTIVAL along with Eugene & Jeff McBride. This was on Burgers gourmet close up magic set at a bar in Chicago. The effect is called thought sender and is very strong. The script and staging make this a superb piece of intimate magic
Sat with Eugene at a magic session several years ago. I asked him to write the single most valuable piece of advice he could give to a magician in my journal and autograph it. He wrote "The three magic words are praise, appreciation & recognition". To this day Im still not sure what he meant by that or if I agree with it.
Wil Bryan I knew Eugene personally. He was very poetic at times about the way he gave advice. I can tell you at least from the talks I've had with him he most likely was referring to the way you should praise, appreciate, and recognize the person helping you. They are more receptive and value your magic more when you respect them as a person, not a punchline. He was very much opposed to the combative performing style some Magicians have

@DROOPYakaNEEKOg Chris Angel is edgier, tat's and rock...but Chris Angel is NOT a better magician.....Eugene Burger is a magicians magician...Chris is an entertainer to all the rest...Mr. Burger is also a great teacher of the magical arts....Chris Angel is entertaining, but he doesn't compare to Mr. Burger.....Regarding Darren Brown, I don't know enough about him
@DROOPYakaNEEKOg go to a derren brown's show in theater, an than you can write about him. Derren And Eugene are ten miles over Chriss. He his only an entertainer but not a good magician. And a lot of effects that he does ara tv fake.

earlier in the performance he had put the cards there so the mat was some what slanted, for people to see everything easier.
