Most complete and comprehensive video on the subect of any I've come across. Step by step and very well done. Very helpful when bringing an old Mayline table out of storage and reinstalling parallel bar.
Thank you for the vidéo it's very helpful , I'm in Canada do you know where I can buy mounting screws and hardware? I lost them , if you know a website we can buy , thank you!
Hello, Michelle! I have a huge desk (actually it is an antique library index table with a slanted top - 60" wide). I want to purchase a parallel straightedge to the table. I will have to make a couple of adjustments in order to do this, but for the most part - I was curious if you knew if all of the mounting pieces you were using comes with the parallel bar. I was looking on Amazon and could not find anything noting the mounting pieces were included. Thank you for your time and your video was very helpful.
Hello, I was hoping you could help me. The green and white or cream covering on my drafting/drawing table had many bumps and bulges on it when I bought it used. How can I get it to go flat? It's driving me crazy. Thank you.
Lay it out as perfectly flat on a hard surface as you can, in the sun if possible. Maybe a hair dryer would work. Wrap bricks or CMU with cloth and place in the center of your cover and work from inside oiut. Be aware that this process may take a few days. If your piece is used it was likely improperly secured to the previous table top. If you can get an acceptable amount of the bulges and bumps out, on reinstall secure the cover to table top with double sided tape along the top edge ONLY. I've not tried this myself, but it's the best I can suggest and something I would try if money was tight.
I reinstalled my Borco cover years ago. I cleaned the tape off the back of the Borco cover and the table top. I submerged the Borco cover in a bathtub of hot water. I let it sit about 1/2 an hour. I removed it from the tub and dried it off with a soft towel. For me, I applied the tape to the table top. I then had a friend take one side, I took the other and we lined the factory edge with the bottom of the table. We smoothed it out from there, pressed the sides down and finished with the top edge. It turned out super.
this is a really good video!! I have a question do you know a good brand of drafting tables because I am looking for a cheap but good drafting table. I hope to get a feedback thank you very much!
When I was in arch school this seemed SO much easier. Now 25 years later, I’m trying to get a setup for my daughter, I’m getting a headache thinking about doing this.

Love the table. We also have nice Steelcase chairs and Lumiy Draftsman LED task lighting.
Carefully done. Thank you.
Thanks for the video. I'm taking studio class for architecture and my mayline was crooked. This helped

That'd be nice if you can shoot a new video with 1080. =)
How very helpful thanks.🇨🇦
