I was taught to draw the vertical lines like you do on the edge opposite your drawing hand. Do you know why this is important?

You want to avoid going over your lines with your triangle to avoid smudging your lines.

@@HowtoDrawandDraftIkeC But left handed lettering will do that..only works all the time for righty. I rested my triangle on the raised edge of my roller straight edge.And mover right to left for lines.

I prefer using wood with an acrylic edge for drafting. Metal edge using an Exacto blade for making models
