Love it, reminds me of the training I received about etiquette when I was 40 years younger.. As investment manager I had many occasions where this helped to select a good tailor... In practice this type of cloth worked really well in a colder climate. Since we moved to the tropics, its all too much and on board our boat I hardly ever even see long trousers. Would be good to have some advice in the leisure cloth, maritime area.. what other than a decent short and a Polo shirt?
Thank you for such a nice presentation on style and wear of waistcoats. I would like to know if you have a presentation on wearing bow ties formal and non formal wear.
Unfortunately, waistcoats are some of the most underrated attires in a man's wardrobe. They enhance both casual & formal appearances effortlessly with their wide variety of fabrics & styles. I appreciate them specifically as a doctor for their functionality where it allows unrestricted arm movement(unlike a suit), which allows for performing a physical examination on a patient & for dressing a wound without any hindrance.

Thank you Prof for this very helpful video. I just have a little query that is that possible to have a big gap ( from the shirt collar down right to first button of the waistcoat, I don't really know how to call that haha) for the waistcoat, especially for a double breasted waistcoat?
How do you feel about wearing a Cardigan as an alternative to a traditional waistcoat, to convert a 2 piece suit into something resembling a 3 piece suit? I admit that I don't own a complete 3 Piece Suit. Although in the fall/winter I'll often wear a fine knit Merino Wool Cardigan under my suit jacket, mostly just for some extra warmth... I feel it's at least a better option than the slightly tragic 'Siskel & Ebert' Crew/V-Neck sweater look.
I am planning to get a waistcoat made for me so can you tell me what the diff is between a waistcoat with lapel and without lapel (what occasion is to wear the non lapel one at)
Each to their own but I'm anti waistcoat I have bought Suits in the Past that came with a waistcoat but I never wore the waistcoat. To me less is more when dressing.

Just for you guys to know why we in Britain have our last waistcoat bottom button undone: Leaving the bottom button of your waistcoat undone is the ultimate style myth. The tradition likely dates back to the early 1900's, when King Edward VII first started the trend. Apparently, he grew to be so rotund and fat that he was unable to fasten the bottom button on his waistcoat😂😂😂.

half these things were so friggin ugly. I'm glad he's enjoying them but I couldn't imagine dressing in them
Welcome aboard Yaakov 😁
Sorry to tell you but double breasted waistcoats don’t necessarily only come with lapels. I have one that does not. Do a bit more research before stating something as fact.
Stop wearing those baggie trousers. Wear smart cut trousers like normal people.
AH OK Sanjeev’s 😅
This is the channel I didn’t know I needed in my life. 🫡

Double breasted waistcoats are not always with a collar and lapel, that is untrue. I have one without a collar and lapel./
As you wish but I wouldn’t do that
Just for you guys to know why we in Britain have our last waistcoat bottom button undone: Leaving the bottom button of your waistcoat undone is the ultimate style myth. The tradition likely dates back to the early 1900's, when King Edward VII first started the trend. Apparently, he grew to be so rotund and fat that he was unable to fasten the bottom button on his waistcoat😂😂😂.
So goes the story Safarel 😅
Thank you

@@AskOkeyIncHey mate I do apologise for some of my posts...I love classic style as well and look but could not stop my mind philosophising regarding reality of today's society where a booked is only judged by its cover but that's the world we live in. It was not personal. Otherwise when time allows would you be able to make an episode about suspenders and butterfly or bow ties.. Thanks you in advance and good luck Sir...
@@gosafarel No worries Safarel 😁
We already have several videos on neckties right here on out UA-cam channel. However nine specifically aimed at bow ties
Something to consider for the future
