I think this is interesting because eventually, Starved's usage of the time stones over and over again to relive sonic's death and eating him would come back to bite him in the ass. With the constant reversal of time, it would cause a timeline that is this good ending, Sonic getting the chaos emeralds, dodging furnace's attack, and finding all the times stones, potentially going back in time himself to stop eggman from eating the burnt flicky. Starved may be a evil genius for killing and plotting, but he is still eggman, who makes a small mistake that fucks him over long term, this scenario is no different.
I have a headcanon for this: In this ending, Sonic saw what Starved did to the animals and even Amy, so he came EXTRA prepared with lots of rings to survive, taking this fight when both come at him at once and turns Super Sonic to escape and find the time stones, finally ending Starved's madness

My headcanon is that this is most likely a timeline where sonic 2 and cd switch places in the timeline so sonic 2 happens right after sonic 1 which is why he has super and why eggman has no reaction to super sonic, furnace is an alternate metal sonic but it is designed after mecha sonic mk.1 from the end of sonic 2 hence the color scheme and also the less robotic world since sonic 2 has more animals in it than sonic cd, gives eggman time to develop his new carnivorous desires of animals through a charred animal on angel island from the death egg crashing into it, and which is why he is using furnace, who is more sharp and deadly that normal metal sonic since he was modeled off of the mecha sonic in death egg zone, to cook the animals rather than messing with little planet which is why stardust speedway is golden as opposed to the grey and red bad future one
