I kinda copied this from a comment on a different video, but it's because of the 'idol culture', if I can call it as such, that Holostars are less popular than their sister counterpart. People consider 'idols' as pure, so they will kind of 'retaliate' if one of the Hololive members collabed with a Holostar, even though they are literally from the same company. It's not retaliate per se, but the viewers will feel quite irritated when they knew that their supposed pure idols are talking with another guy, like a boyfriend that was jealous of his girlfriend talking to a guy friend. I think that Holostars needed to be marketed, if that's even a word, a little bit better. I can only hope that there will come a time where Holostars is famous and a time where I can watch japanese content without the need of translation.

Though I hate to admit that I can 'feel' for those kinds of people, it's still stupid to regard the idol that you're so 'enamored' with in the same line as your girlfriend. There are still those parts of the otaku community that still have those kimo-ota trait. But it's far better than before tho. If say hololive and nijisanji exist around 5-10 years ago, the situation will be a lot different. Not only that they will probably won't do any collab between the male and female counterparts, hell the male counterparts might not even exist. Also they are probably more critique on the existence of otaku community outside of japan. It is getting better, but still not perfect.
