This was one of my early favorites, Doesn't look like an Aechmea at all (until it flowers haha). It looks like a Bromelia scarlatina doppelganger. Also some of the wider-leafed Pitcairnias share the petiolate leaf morphology. What a peculiar brom! Pups very readily too!
