I got one last month. Over the course of 3 weeks, it developed both tap and play, had the paint scratched, the spring no longer works when closed, both the handles and blade are damaged, and the knife is lost in the couch cushions

I thought it was complete doodoo but I ended up sanding all the corners, sawing off the spring latch, polishing the whole thing, and lubing the washers with WD-40(don’t hate). Now it actually feels very high quality and it flips nice and quiet almost like a Glidr. I’ve dropped this a thousand times on asphalt and water and it still looks the same as when I polished it. I feel like this Amarey balisong is the best cheapest full metal trainer you can get for under 15 dollars. Couple mods and it’ll treat you right.

I definitely enjoy you gentlemen. I’m a proud parent of a Boker+, flytanium upgraded Lucha, (thx for the ceramic bearing video) and a few riveted ones that don’t need mentioned. I like the incentive of being bit if I don’t do a spin correctly, at least it heals for free unlike my bolt threads.
in total i got like 3 CCCs from amazon and they all fell apart in their own ways but i reeeeally want to put them together (handles from one, trainer blade from another, washers from the last, and then some spare hardware (and maybe even bushings) from my kraken) the only problem is i need a drill to fit the holes and i dont know anyone :(
I didn’t know if I would like balisong so I bought a simple $20 balisong and omg it’s so gooood. I don’t know what brand or anything I just bought it in a store. It’s so easily moveable and it isn’t heavy nor light. It’s the perfect weight. I’ll definitely invest into a better one in the near future.

Yea, definitely just spend the money on a high quality trainer or real knife. For example, my trainer balisong from squid industries was 115 I think, and it’s very, very smooth. This video definitely just tells you why you should spend more money for something high quality.
